This was my first stop upon arriving in Cleveland. It's the perfect spot to grab a bite to eat or something to drink before a football game, as it is close to the stadium. There was a DJ and the vibe was so fun. Service was quick considering we went on a game day and it was busy. I ordered a local beer and got the grilled Chick Fil A sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was super tasty. Fries were cooked to perfection. I'd definitely go back (in my Steelers gear though )

Here's our $16 dollar pretzel, should have been 2 with different dips. Don't waste your time or money

If you like to spend your money and get horrible service , here's your place. You'll seat yourself, wait forever and when you order a to go and they forget it , you'll only be given half of the order. 10 people in the bar and staff to bust with guys at bar watching game to get refills or check on the 3 tables there. Take your hard earned money elsewhere , they get bad reviews for a reason.

Cool looking establishment with great indoor and outdoor decor. We went during covid so I'm sure we didn't get the full experience. Seems like it would be a rocking and cool place pre and post covid. The service was subpar unfortunately and $6 a canned beer was the most expensive beer we ran into that Wasn't inside the Cleveland browns stadium.

Cool place to stop in for sure and have a beer sit by a fire outside waiting on my pretty women and just great overall fun place for sure I will definitely stop by next time we are in Cleveland I didn't get a chance to try the food but we did have some beverages outside with a cool looking decor in the fall weather in the fire and everything nice

A TALE OF TWO TOXINS: BARLEY HOUSE, CORONAVIRUS & THE STORY OF CLEVELAND'S HOSPITALITY Fears of civilization's complete and imminent collapse notwithstanding, work still insisted on sending me to Cleveland for uhm, work. Upon my arrival, it was promptly brought to my attention that every bar and restaurant would be closed indefinitely at 9pm. I figured I'd stroll to Barley House for one last romp with a normalcy. I wasn't surprised how good the food was. My buddy I was there with told me I'd be impressed, and the Thai Peanut Rice Bowl and Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers I got as an appetizer we're both very impressive. I wasn't surprised how pretty the bartenders were, having same buddy describe them to me beforehand. I couldn't of cared any less- I'm a firm believer that dolled-up, pretty barmaids do nothing more than make dummies drool and screw over guys like me that didn't care for them 15 years ago and don't take the bait. And still, this place was different. The staff here was super friendly, and not at all in a fake, just hoping to get a better tip from you kind of friendly. Before the premature closing time, two of the workers here we had befriended had ideas of other places to hang out at and invited us to come with them. Most of all, I was impressed at the positivity and patience they had demonstrated, facing an indefinite closure and loss of wages at the hands of the dreaded Wuhan Flu pandemic. I'm pretty stingy with my business, especially to chain restaurants, but I can't imagine another work trip to Cleveland without stopping by Barley House again, and neither should you. Lastly, you can check them out in social media #BarleyHouseCLE.

Terrible service and rude wait staff. Sent back my order twice and asked them to take it off my receipt only to have them tell me too bad.

My waitress (Renee) immediately greeted me, she was friendly & professional and offered to take my drink order, since I was ready, she took my order, fish & chips which comes with a cup of coleslaw. The food arrived fairly quickly and I was impressed at the size of the meal. A large fillet perfectly fried and crispy. The fries were ok, but they do offer malt vinegar on the side and a the tartar sauce was good. The place definitely has that old English pub feel and appeared to be clean and orderly. I would definitely dine here again, when flying in or out of Cleveland Hopkins.

The sandwich itself was good but it was on the smaller side. I can never finish a whole sandwich but I finished this one. Service was good for an airport restaurant. We did try to find a table with outlets to charge our phones and they didn't have any.

I want them to be crispy on the outside with a mouthful of chicken in each bite and they were just that. The lemon pepper sauce was very salty, but I love salt and vinegar chips so I was prepared. You won't even be able to stand. As for my other visit, it was on a Friday night. A nice sized crowd, full bar. Sports game on the television. A nice atmosphere for a neighborhood bar. A great touch is the 1 pinball machine in the corner. Older game but it does take up something to do with friends. As with service we were told that the bar is extremely behind by a rude bartender named Meg. You can tell she was overwhelmed and just seemed to be having a rough day. A few minutes later we were told by staff that the kitchen was now closed. Pretty strange as the menu is mainly all bar served fried food or burgers etc. The bartender also announced that they were out of fish as well. I continued to order drinks, they were cold and tasted as advertised. About an hour or so later , the kitchen was then re opened when the bar was less crowded. I order a dozen wings, garlic Parmesan with ranch. The wings were real solid. Nice and crispy and the garlic and parm combo was just enough. The basket of fries we got were average fries. Not crispy, nor salty but atleast they were hot. The prices were about average, no complaints about that. Overall, the bar does not seem to handle stress or large crowds very well. My wings were good, fries were average like I said. My friends attend this bar often and did tell me that this bar is not like this usually. May have been a rough day. I assume I will be back again, I wouldn't pick this place to go to but the location is close enough to the area we hang out. Not so much of any certain type of theme at the bar but I did notice the staff recognize many patrons by name so it will continue to be the neighborhood bar for many. Overall a 6.7 out of 10.

Erin was our server and she was amazing, from beginning to end! We would come back just for her, but I know she works limited hours because she's busy being an epic artist! She let my dad tell her dad jokes and when he wanted to meet Leo (because he looks like Fish from Shoresy and my mom thought he was hot) they obliged which was truly going above and beyond (even if it made me and my sister a little awkward). The boudin balls were great! Very similar to New Orlean's verisons so that was great! We also tried the hot rocks which were also great! Our table tried both gumbos, the jambalaya and the crab cakes. All of which were delicious and the closest you'll find to NOLA style around here! For dessert my mom scored the last creme brulee which made her day and the rest of us had beignets. Their beignets are definitely not Cafe Beignet or Loretta's level, but they are still absolutely delicious as their own dessert, like a mix between a funnel cake and a beignet! Drinks were also amazing! It's one of like 3 places you can get a Pimms cup in Cleveland!
