I had no idea this wine bar existed, but I am so glad I found out about it! It's tucked away in a beautiful spot in San Clemente & it's just about the best thing. I just went here with a friend, and I can't wait to come back. The ambiance is quaint and mellow, the wine is great, the cheese plate was fantastic & everything was all quite reasonably priced. Calm, classy, and tasty. The atmosphere is intimate during the day. Great to have a conversation over a bottle of wine or study with a small entree. The bar offers wines, beer, and liquors. There is a select amount of entrees and desserts. They even offer to order pizza from Ballpark Pizza. The staff is friendly and very knowledgable of wines. Will definitely return. read more

Excellent place to meet friends, unwind and enjoy the many selections offered at Barnoa Wine Bar. From great wines to beer and they also offer good food. Mike, the owner, has always been accommodating and the customer service is impeccable. The knowledge of wines and the attention to detail is top notch. Never disappointed with the service. Kim and Jessie have always been great and deliver spirits with a smile. One added feature is the live music. Wow, such a huge bummer! Normally such a great experience at this restaurant, tonight they were way, way off their game. I asked for a burger to be rare with no tomato it came well-done with tomato, the brioche bun was not fresh at all. They were completely out of carrot cake dessert by 8 o'clock, our salads came without dressing. Normally such a great experience but tonight definitely not what we expect. We certainly understand everyone's coming back from this pandemic but this evening was a real disappointment with reservations next week that I will have to rethink. Owner was out chatting to clients he recognized while blatantly ignored the rest of us. Everyone gets things can be wonky coming back but the ignorance of management coupled with mediocrity in food quality is no bueno. A note to ownership-ALL tables deserve a hello and how are things going whether you recognize them or not. There are plenty of us who are regulars, clearly not your personal friends that are fully ignored and not for the first time I might add. Tried to support this small business bringing new friends who have not eaten here. Disappointing at best. read more

This place rocks! We live within walking distance so we were so happy when Barnoa moved in this spot. They have a great wine selection and a nice big glass :) I ate their chicken curry salad, I believe, and it was delicious. Their bread is also good and it's free :) can't say enough great things about this place! read more

My girlfriend and I just did their great wines of Paso Robles wine tasting last Thursday and it was truly fabulous! The wines selected for this tasting were all premium wonderful blends. Mike the owner even had a Sommelier speak about each of the selections and answer all our questions. This is a great place to relax with a glass of wine or beer with some friends. There is also a retail section where bottles can be purchased. Wine selection is global, service is friendly, the space is open, and the decor is clean and uncluttered. The Butternut Chardonnay was delicious. read more

Been a few times recently. Once was for a private tasting organized for a small group (absolutely fantastic wines) and last weekend I came her with a girlfriend for a quiet dinner. We sat on the patio and ordered wine flights... that was an incredible option. We were able to taste any three different wines for $15. Amazing! All the wines I tasted were really superb. The food was delicious... the menu was more extensive than I expected. This is my new favorite place! read more

Thank god we finally have a "local' in talega! Very nice wine selection had a meat and cheese platter went excellent with our french selection. We brought our pup and sat outside very nice owner anne sophia was very knowledgeable of wine and very sweet. Support this local business so that we keep them. Wonderful local wine bar. The wine selection is good and changes every six months. Ann Sophie (sp?) is very welcoming and knowledgeable about her wine. Assuming you're an SC resident, the location is very convenient. We recently enjoyed a talented 2-piece blues rock band on Friday night. Came in right around open with a girlfriend and pretty much had the place to ourselves. Sat at the bar and hung out for hours! To the point that the musician was setting up and the place started to get jam packed. Seemed like we were the young-ins in the room, but it was kinda cool to see lively older couples partying. We had their charcuterie plate and several glasses of wine and were not disappointed! Will definitely return. read more

Was not very pleased with this wine bar. A far cry from the Cellar and San Clemente Wine Company. Walked in and was not greeted and had limited conversation with the person behind the bar. They did not offer suggestions or discuss the menu at all. As we sat at the bar the countertops were sticky and felt dirty. We ended up having one glass and leaving to Sundried Tomato instead for drinks and dessert as we could not stand the atmosphere and the sticky substances on our arms. Also said they are open til 1am and they closed at 10pm. Very disappointed! The positive was the nice selection and variety. read more

Hubby and I spent a pleasant hour Saturday at Barnoa Wine Bar. Happy Hour prices made it easy to drink two glasses of wine, and the charcuterie and cheese plate was very tasty. Four of us went to Barnoa on Saturday night, the band was amazing food is limited but awesome and they have a great wine selection. Everbody was great except the one female waitress/bartender who gave us a hard time repeatedly.
