    Chilaquiles without sour cream

Loved this spot! It's across the street from the water so it's a beautiful location. They have seating inside and outside. We chose to eat outside at a high top table with an umbrella. We got iced tea and Arnold Palmer to drink. And both of us got the same thing - chilaquiles. They were on a bed of black beans. We both liked them. Parking nearby is all paid. Meters are coin or card, and the $1.50 an hour.

Crazy that I came here several years later and they still have the same issue - items being not available on their already limited menu. We noticed they had a name change or new owners and I guess I see why. We wanted the scallops and it was not available and neither was another entree. However, we did get the salmon which was incredible and I got a salmon blt which was just good.

Cute spot! I like that it's right by the water and plenty of outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and provided recommendations to our party. Bit overpriced. Drinks were fairly good as well. My only comment was for the breakfast burrito that was $20~, it was advertised to have chorizo in it, but it was majority egg with tiny bits of chorizo, we were truly expecting more protein for the priced it was listed at. Would be a good to visit on a nice day.

Pierside Kitchen & Bar was cute and across from the San Clemente Pier. You can see the sunset from the patio area and large wood table near the patio. From Truffle Fries , Coconut Shrimp to Crispy Brussel Sprouts, appetizers set the mood right! The Salmon BLT stole the show - so big, so tempting! My Herbed Salmon was perfection, but would have liked a bit more Chimichurri. And oh, the choices - Fish and Chips, Double Smash Cheeseburger, and Shrimp Tacos, each a delight! Great customer service!

Great location. Great service & good food! The chowder tots were amazing! My breakfast burrito was good but it was mostly egg. Very little meat or fries.

Great Location just across from the San Clemente pier. The inside is very dimly lit so if you're in your 40's plus age.... you may need to use your phone flashlight to see the menu . Our party ordered 3 appetizers, ahi poke nachos, coconut shrimp and clam chowder tots.. Every thing had great flavor and good portion size. The coconut shrimp had real coconut in the batter.. It was a great surprise. The clam chowder tots had lots of clams and little bits of bacon over the top. the Nachos had a nice wasabi aioli and spicy mayo drizzled over everything and it wasn't tortilla chips it was wantons. The waitress was super nice and the restaurant should be happy to have her on staff. We may come again for brunch next time.

Great food especially the ahi poke nachos. Salmon was NOT overcooked yay. Friendly service. Great bartender making delicious drinks! For a Saturday night, it was very quiet maybe due to change of name? It was formerly Pierside.

We started out with the AHI pokey nachos/ Which was really yummy.. NOTE to restaurant and owner, needs more Ahi. Had the veggie scramble without onions, and the potatoes were fire !!! Atmosphere was super chill. Train comes by frequently, but not super obnoxious Bottomless mimosas is literally one bottle of champagne - so don't be discouraged by the price, because you can keep pouring your own and don't have to wait for a server. And is nice and chill the entire time because it is served in a wine chiller. Our server was Charlotte. She is super friendly, positive, and accommodating.

We went on a Friday afternoon around 4pm it wasn't busy and outside seating was available. It was happy hour but it was a selection of drinks not on the menu and it wasn't that much of a discount. Food was great , we ordered the clam chowder , Shrimp ceviche and the shrimp scampi. We ordered a few cocktails as well. The food was great. The shrimp scampi is a must get! Probably the best shrimp scampi I have had from a restaurant! Ceviche was great too and clam chowder was creamy and it came with a delicious grilled sourdough bread. Would definitely come back. However our waitress was grumpy and when I have her a cash tip she didn't say thank you, she just took it and acted like it should have been more. I didn't like that very much I really felt offended.

WHAT A FIND! They are closed 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesdays) and the phone number online doesnt work, but we ended up finding a day they were open and locating them by looking for the hotel its inside of- an I am SO GLAD WE DID! Inside or outside dining right on the beach, great server and great food! 10/10 for everything!

    Strawberry feta salad with chicken

Nice place. By the ocean so the ambiance is pretty nice. The place feels a little outdated but seating outside was cute. The food was good. I loved the strawberry feta salad and I added chicken to it. The chicken was alright, not the best but it was ok. The service was good, came in to check on us after food arrived and got us everything we need. Hard to find the place at first, the sign isn't that obvious. Under a hotel.

Hi. There is street parking in front of the restaurant and a lot around the corner. Unfortunately, there is no onsite parking designated to the restaurant. Cheers!

Nice. The ocean, beach and pier. Across the street, but nice.

    Is it kid friendly?

Unprofessional host, blatant favoritism…read more BLUF: The host treated the bar like a house party -- saving seats and catering to his friends instead of paying guests. We went to Jane on Saturday, January 17th around 8:30-8:45 pm for a nightcap with a group of three. It was crowded, which was fine -- the service was not. The host (a man in his late 20s or early 30s with a buzz cut and mustache) had us put our name in but couldn't give even a rough wait estimate. He then told us there were open seats at the bar. As we walked toward them, he immediately went to his friends sitting nearby, and they jumped up and took the bar seats he had just told us were available. We waited 40 minutes and received a text that our "table for three" was ready -- only to be told when we returned that there was actually standing room only. When we again saw open bar seats, the same friends reappeared and claimed they were "saving them" because they'd gone out to smoke. The host backed them up. This felt less like a cocktail lounge and more like a place where the host plays bouncer for his friends. Prioritizing friends over paying guests, brushing people off, and mismanaging the waitlist is incredibly unprofessional. We left without ever being served. For a place that positions itself as a cocktail lounge, this kind of favoritism is unacceptable and disappointing.

We were seated upstairs, and booking our reservation through OpenTable was quick and easy. We were really excited to come back after having such an amazing experience last July when we celebrated his birthday. We couldn't wait to bring our friends and share one of our favorite steakhouses with them. The food was just as amazing as we remembered. We started with the Parker House Rolls and Bacon, then ordered both the Associate Board and Executive Board for the table. For sides, we had the Truffled Creamed Spinach, Potato Au Gratin, and Carrots. Everything was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and definitely the highlight of the evening. Unfortunately, the service was a huge letdown. Both the servers and waitstaff came across as curt, rushed, and completely disinterested. I understand it was a busy night, but that's not an excuse for making guests feel like an inconvenience. We had to repeatedly ask for our water glasses to be refilled, and overall, the service lacked the warmth and attentiveness you'd expect from a restaurant at this price point. As we were leaving, everyone in our group commented on how disappointing the service had been. It's such a shame because the food was excellent, but the poor service really put a damper on what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. We're hoping this was just an off night because our previous visit was so memorable, but this experience definitely didn't live up to the standard we remembered.

One of my favorite appetizers here are their bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers served with a blackberry jam and pickled onions...I get this pretty much every time. Lately I've been coming on Tuesdays to take advantage of their all-day Happy Hour, which is one of the best in town. I wanted to take a moment to shout out their fantastic team of servers and bussers especially. Luna, Lindsay and Cesar have all been exceptional servers; their knowledge of the menu and their genuine kindness makes our visits that much more memorable. I don't often catch the name of the bussers, but they are extremely good at what they do. There's a few restaurants in town that hire staff and don't seem to train them well, so they struggle and it's apparent... but that's not the case here at Asada, where everyone is professional and really go above and beyond. It's easy to see how well their service flows (although the host stand could benefit from having people who are more outgoing; they seem to have timid people up there a lot, and it can be awkward when they're too timid to properly greet guests--just something I've noticed, having worked in restaurants before I tend to be hyper-aware of such things). My favorite section to get seated is the booths near the back which tend to be quieter, and also offer a nice view of the sky during the sunset and evening hours especially.
