I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. It's humble inside and out but boy oh boy does the food taste good!!! I ate the T. Anderson a few days ago and haven't stopped craving it since! My husband had the Reuben and loved it as well. Tastes like homemade food made with extra love! The servers in there are also just AMAZING, they truly have that southern hospitality everyone talks about in the south. I cannot wait to come back to this place. I highly recommend the T. I've been to the Barnwood Grill 4 or 5 more times since I wrote my original review. It has been great every single time. The staff works so hard and they are very polite even when you can tell that they are slammed. When you order at the counter, they ask for your name to help them locate you when they bring out your food. After I finished eating the other day and was headed for the door, the nice lady who took my order called me by my name and told me that she hoped I had a nice day. How awesome is that? The biscuits were so big, you can save 1/2 for another meal. 2 steak egg and cheese biscuits and 2 coffees, $12.00., farm fresh eggs all the time. Sure the outside appearance might cause you to give it a second thought but put on those big girl/guy panties and march your butt inside. They do not disappoint! The food is the real deal, home cooked, locally sourced and flippen tasty. Sure it may take a bit longer then you would like, but honestly, good, freshly cooked food takes time. It's well worth the wait. As many others have said, seating is very limited. The way I liked to look at it was heck we are all friends here so if it's a little snug, eh so be it. I ordered the Trash Bowl for breakfast and hardly could finish half of it. I'm a bacon lover all the way but wish I would have read that the sausage was locally sourced as I would have surely gotten that instead. My man got the biscuits and gravy, which of course I had to take a taste of. Biscuits are delish! and I love that they grill them, such a nice touch and adds a bit of crunch which I loved. Everything here is top notch. The owner is on site and she is a true artisan where the food is concerned. Almost everything is locally sourced - bread, beef, produce, sausage, etc. I've been twice and will be back for more. So we were scoping out highly rated places on Yelp and, well, FIVE STARS is pretty high, eh? Anyway the place is a little out of the way but easy to find. Be prepared, it's a dive. When you get there, go on in ... Honestly, we thought about backing out and going home but braved it, girded our loins, and went on in. No need to be afraid, it's all good, great southern hospitality. Burgers were excellent. Hefty, tasty, well prepared patties served on a well constructed, well prepared sandwich. I had the "Big Sexy" burger, a bleu and bacon burger on quality ciabatta. Wife had the Patti-melt burger, cooked to perfection with grilled onions and melted cheese on a fine swirled rye. Well done, honest and quality food these were. For sides we had French fries and Carolina caviar. Neither was in any way impressive but neither was bad in any way either. Okay so after the shocking appearance, and after deciding NOT to ask where the restroom might be (none in sight), and after freezing our socks off (eating area is all of 300 square feet and had two doors to the outside opening on a cold winter day), and after the mediocre sides we were left with two resonating impressions... 1) Wow were those good burgers, and, 2) these girls are doing a great job with this place. What brings me back to Barnwood however, is the variety. I don't need a burger every time out. Homemade chicken salad wrap? Sure! Wow- it's delicious. 1/4 pound frisco dog? Perfect. Wow! Thank you once again Yelp, and thank you Barnwood Grill-this place was amazing! When you pull in to parking lot, you have no clue just how great it will be. The signage is awesome-my favorite was one that read "we feed a 1000....10 at a time". TRUTH. When. You enter into the building, if you choose to eat inside, you should order first. However, the coop is the outdoor seating and they offer table service there...good for groups bigger than 4. Staff is awesome and friendly and they will tell you that you can mix and match meats, beads and sides any way you want...it's all still delicious . We ordered the sausage gravy and biscuit with 2 over medium eggs, and a bacon, egg and cheese on brioche. Topped with grape juice and a sweet tea made for perfection. I love that this place is close and I love that you feel welcome whether you're a first timer or a regular. We will be back to try out the lunch read more

This is exactly what I wanted out of hole in the wall breakfast and lunch spot. The place was jammed but they kept the tables moving, good atmosphere, and excellent service. I had the special of the day Highway 24 steak and eggs which was delicious and a create you own omelette with every single add-in. Really small restaurant I drove right by it they have 10 tables .Bathroom is out back behind the restaurant. The portions were big and tasty, homemade biscuits,grits , the sausage was moderately spiced. They have seating outside in a large tent setting. Open 6 am till 3 pm.
