Disappointing Experience We have eaten at Buenos Días dozens of times and have always been willing to come back, but today was extremely disappointing. My husband ordered the Avocado Blast and actually told the waiter that, in his opinion, they should take it off the menu. The waiter responded, "It's very good," rather than asking what was wrong with it. The chicken was extremely tough, the cheese bread was chewy, and there were only two small slices of avocado. I ordered the rancheros, and they were awful as well. Unfortunately, the service wasn't any better. I had to actually get up from the table to get napkins because no one was checking on us. We eat out all over the area and understand that every restaurant can have an off day, but this was bad from the food to the service. Served with lettuce, & onions I knew this was too much food for me when ordering so I focused on the shredded chicken over the deep fried tortillas with the homemade red sauce for breakfast and saved the rest to heat up for later. I'm going to just comment on the food. This restaurant just opened a month ago and they were training new waitresses and working on any new opening issues. The food is very good. The omelettes are large and filled with plenty of meat and cheese. It's a great breakfast. The omelettes were cooked perfectly. The food is fresh. The white toast is Texas toast. I would have wanted a bit more toasted. The coffee was cold. The waitress didn't turn on the coffee warming machine . That's my only complaint. The grits were very creamy and buttery. The home fries were crispy and buttery as well. The service was fine; again they were training. I'll go back again in another month when all the kinks are worked out. The place is bright and new. Brand new breakfast joint in town and I gotta say, I'm impressed! With the name, you can tell it has a Mexican flavor to it. My wife had the fitness omelet and I had the Chorizo omelet. They were on the table literally 4 minutes later! Super fast service, really probably the fastest I've ever seen. The omelets were not overcooked - I mean, how could they be in 4 minutes - and stuffed full of ingredients. The chorizo tasted authentic and the potatoes were real redskin potatoes that were cooked on a grill top with just the right amount of crust on them. I could just sit around and eat a plate full of those! Staff was also really friendly, so kudos to the new kids on the block. I couldn't find any huevos rancheros on the menu... what gives! Also, and this is my personal pet peeve. If you're going to supply the little packets of jelly for toast, give other options than just grape. My husband passed this place on his way to work and decided we needed to try it. The business is clean and the staff is super friendly! There is indoor and heated outdoor seating. We had Andrea as our waitress and she was so sweet and personable. She answered all of our questions and had a smile the entire time! The food was phenomenal. Food was good. Everybody was happy with their order. Service was good. The waitress was quick and was there for anything we needed.

Besides a friendly waitress, it was not good. I ordered the bacon breakfast skillet, which had potatoes, onions, peppers, cheese, and bacon and an egg on top, but I ordered an extra egg both of them over easy so the yoke would go down into my skillet. Seems simple enough. The potatoes, onions and peppers were very undercooked. The bacon was diced into little pieces and there wasn't much of it. My over easy eggs, one came broken and completely hard through and through and the other one was maybe over medium so there wasn't too much yoke. All of it was not seasoned so it was extremely bland. Also, the most surprising part was since it's a skillet every other place I've been to it comes out, sizzling on the skillet however, this was not, and I could pick the skillet up with my bare hands. It was also supposed to come with toast, which they didn't send with it, so I had to ask the waitress for it. I received my toast after maybe 10 minutes and it was almost burnt. My daughter had French toast and scrambled eggs which she didn't like too well. She said the French toast didn't have anything special on it. It was just very plain. And the eggs were not seasoned. Unfortunately, I was hoping for another nice breakfast joint for Anderson, but I was very disappointed and will not be going there again unless I hear there has been a lot of changes. read more
