This is a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat if you're in the area. There is a small market inside where you can buy all sorts of meats and other items, as well as a full restaurant. It's a spacious place with friendly service. The mains we ordered (roast beef sandwich and ribs) were awesome. Huge portions. The ribs were very flavorful and the sauce selections at the table were all delicious. The sides were great too. We had potato salad, mac n cheese, and onion rings. Seafood buffet did not look appetizing; looked like warmed up frozen food. Ordered a steak which was ok but not up to expectations- business advertised as a butcher shop/restaurant in rural beef country MO. Son's hamburger appeared to be ground brisket, not what he was expecting. read more

Not what I expected. Husband got a Reuben sandwich and I got a burger. Thought they would have more barbecue stuff. It was just okay. Burger was frozen patty, could have made it better at home. read more

Tried this place a few weeks ago, BBQ bowl was interesting, not too impressed with the ribs but we were there close the the end of the business day. Will give it a second chance next time we are at the lake. read more

We went to the breakfast buffet. it was $37 for two people. The food was cold and not good. we won't go back. So disappointed.

Out of the way place. Food was decent and service attentive. Burger was served quite well done. BBQ sauce was extremely sweet, but still tasty. Would not have been good in other bbq dishes though. Friend had brisket and he enjoyed. Sides were large portions. read more

Large family party with reservations. Only one server assigned to family group of 26. Reservation at 6:30. Drinks, appetizers and waiting for one family group til 7. At 7, ordered food. Food came out 1 1/2 later- 2 meals at a time and cold. Several dishes - after this long wait- they came out to say they were out of this or that - bake potatoes, gravy for the roast beef and for the mashed potatoes. Stated couldn't make more due to the proximity to closing time! Fellow who stated he was owner very unresponsive and stated "they got their food". After a fuss, they did comp the appetizers, but still my 74 year old father never even got to eat. DO NOT RECOMMEND- if for anything for the management of the place. read more

This place is a little hidden gem. It's beautiful outside and inside. Doubles as a fresh meat store on one side and a dining room area on the other and the two do not interfere with one another. You don't feel like you're eating at a store or shopping in a restaurant. That's probably the best I can say about this place because the food left something to be desired. We started with an artichoke dip. Which was 99% cream cheese. Black pepper and not fresh artichoke. It needed something else. Garlic? Onion? Salt? The crostini bits were just right- crunchy and soft, buttery but it wouldn't be something I'd pair with artichoke dip, as it's a little too sweet and buttery for this dip. Still, we ordered country fried steak which was fine in terms of crispiness but the grave was bland. It was just over powered by ground pepper, this seems to be a favorite or only cooking spice here. I ordered a crispy chicken wrap with ranch. And I got onion rings as a side ($3) the wrap was very skinny. Perfect for lunch but not enough for a meal. Buffalo Wild Wings serves a thicker wrap. I got 6 onions rings for $3. One sauce was very spicy and the other contained a mustard, I opted for the mustard sauce. If id known it was only going to be six rings, I would've opted for fries. We got a kids meal and never received our drink for that, no big deal as my kids brought their own cups. But still we paid for the drink and never got it. Our waitress didn't seem to have a single bad thing to say about menu items. I like to ask what they'd order or what seems to be a popular dish and I'm usually given a sincere answer but our waitress (who was very sweet) claimed everything was good and it was a little disappointing when it wasn't. The prices are okay, maybe even a little over for what you get. Perhaps we would've been smarter to get beef instead of chicken and pork. I was very conflicted about their sticky burger but opted to play it "safe". The dinner roll the waitress claimed was freshly baked tasted and looked identical to a Hawaiian roll. When she said homemade I expected fluffy and warm like Oscars in Jeff City. Anyway, it's safe to say we likely will not be returning for dinner there anytime soon. Shame because inside is very nice. Big, open atmosphere. Friendly staff. Clean. But the food lacked something to be desired. read more

My dad and his wife have come here a few times and loved it! We came with a group of 9 and it was ok we had a few things that where under done but they fixed it and it was fine.. great management and great customer service! We will go back! read more
