Smart strength training and core conditioning with well-trained, motivating, creative instructors who make the at-home experience memorable and effective. Great playlists enhance the experience. After a year of working out solo in my sad basement, I've taken barre classes with a wide array of studios and instructors. It's a huge challenge to work out at home, especially in a modality like barre, which requires solid form for optimal results and feeds on in-class energy. As a group fitness instructor (and certified barre instructor), this is virtual barre at its finest. These gals keep things fun, focused and deliver the goods! My favorite instructor, Melissa, is a BEAST - she teaches an outstanding class and I love how she does the whole damn workout with you, without missing a cue! If you like a little mental motivation (and inner monologue awareness) with your challenging workout, she's the whole package. Barre is for *everyone* and highly modifiable for injuries and limitations; it can supplement any training regime and help you rock your next ultra or triathlon. Still, it has a reputation and can be intimidating to those who haven't shot a lululemon campaign ;) I admire that this studio draws a range of ages, body types and strength levels. Everyone's working out together, getting it done. There's an emphasis from all instructors that each day is different and to work with what's happening in your body on any given day. Maybe because it's Denver (with its avid outdoor culture), but I appreciate that the instructors are there to get you STRONG and they inspire without referencing "bikini bodies" and "long, lean muscles." Again, my experience is only with the online classes, but if I lived in Denver, this would be my home studio. Hands down! Whether you're barre curious or an old hand, check this place out. read more

Terrible new management- sent them an email about being called incorrectly pregnant and they replied basically saying that if they studio isn't a good fit, I shouldn't join (did the trial membership). Happy to post email threads. Gracie is extremely problematic, provides jarring hands-on correction that isn't trauma informed or appropriate. I enjoy taking classes at Barre Forte Wash Park. The studio is cozy and clean, nestled between a dental office and Molecule Effect cafe. For new clients, your first class is $10 and you get a discounted first month. They offer a variety of classes ranging from 45 mins to 1 hour. The workouts are challenging and a tad bit different than other barre studios I've been to. They don't require grip socks (just regular socks) since the floor is carpeted, but they sell some in their cute little shop. Just FYI, the studio is on a busy intersection with limited parking in the lot. Also, I've noticed sometimes the mic is a little muffled and it's hard to hear the instructor's instructions clearly. I took class from Jenn, the owner and it was a great experience. Their studio is quite small which makes class a little more intimate than the bigger studios. What this means is that you are going to have more one on one help if you need it. This is a great workout with everything from weights, to abs, to cardio. I thought parking would be a problem but there proved to be plenty of parking off the street close by. read more

Barre forte workouts are consistently challenging and the instructors are on point! The workout routines are quite varied and I never feel like they're cookie cutter like some other boutique gyms I've gone to. The community is welcoming and encouraging as well! Go give it a try :) read more

I started going to Barre Forte a few weeks ago when I did my two free weeks on Class Pass (a great way to try out different gyms and studios!) After a few barre express classes, which are 45 minutes of leg, core, and arm work, I decided I'll be getting some sort of membership. The gym is in a great location near to food and gas, which makes it easier to get things done right afterwards before going home for the night. The studio interior is clean and comfortable but still simple. The staff are kind and there is no air of elitism like I've experienced in other studios. It is overall a very welcoming vibe. The studio is carpeted, so socks are required, but the carpet makes the class even more relaxing. There is one studio and classes do get busy but so far I have not been to one that was overcrowded. The instructors are great at giving advice to the room without single-ing anyone out (I'm not an expert barre participant and could for sure use a few tips!) I'm looking forward to trying some different classes in the future because so far I am loving this place. read more

Very cute barre studio in West Wash Park! Love all the instructors and the variety of classes. They even offer several 45 minutes sessions as well as barre HIIT classes so you can incorporate cardio into your workout! The playlists are amazing, and change for every class. I started coming to Barre Forte for the convenience: I use ClassPass and the studio is a 5 minute walk from my house! Now I come to Barre Forte's classes 2-3 times a week because I have fallen in love with the workout. The classes are fun and challenging, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The instructors switch up the workouts so you never get bored, and the exercises are super accessible while still being hard. I have struggled with knee and back pain in the past and I love that the barre workouts are low-impact, focused on core/stability, while also being intense. Highly recommend!! read more

The BEST Barre class in Denver! Warm and welcoming staff with really challenging classes. Plus, cute Tavi Noir socks and spiritual gangster clothes to purchase. I'm a regular at the LoHi location and went to this studio when the LoHi location was closed for a repair. Let me start by saying Barre Forte is the BEST barre program around and I've been doing barre for 8+ years. The classes have a lot of variety and the instructors are wonderful.
