He's forget certain asks, like when we wanted extra olives for a Bloody Mary or a Diet Pepsi. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and everything was OK but almost a flavor overload. The chicken sliders were both acidic and sweet, almost burning my tongue flavor wise. The pork belly was very sweet. The crab dip was a bit too salty with the pretzel. For my main I got the French toast and it was tasty but the side cream was like a bitter sweet I wasn't a huge fan of and for 17$ you get four pieces of bread, I think it's a bit of a rip off. I had the Granny's Ray's Hard Lemonade which was great! The atmosphere was soothing, energetic and laid-back. Great for dinner, a date or after work drink. The indoor/outdoor vibe is really nice, but the sun down glare can be offensive if it's not managed with the sun shades. The esthetic is also beautiful, so well done on design. Happy Hour review: 2 to 7 EVERY DAY. Went to HH for lunch on a Thursday and it was a nice and quiet ambiance. Very small HH menu: $2 off shared plates: pretzel, tater tots, French fries, and house chips. Missing some protein! The regular food menu offers sandwiches/burgers soups and salads. I had the crab cake sliders which were good, but I was still left craving something to eat. I ended up getting the angus steak as well, just to get full. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay off the HH menu. My vegetarian friend ordered: tomato soup and grilled cheese with no pork. The tomato soup was seasoned well and the grilled cheese was modified to just cooper and cheddar cheese (no pork.) I enjoyed the food, however it didn't give me the "Wow! I need to come back here" soon factor. I think this location is beautiful, open and airy, but I would probably only be coming back for drinks next time, if at all. read more

We checked in with the hostess and she told us it was about a 25 minute wait but informed us if we wanted we could sit at the bar. We chose the bar as we were hungry and wanted to eat. Initially it took some time for us to be waited on but that quickly turned around. We started out with a couple drinks and then placed our order. My wife went with the winter chopped salad and I went with a burger and fries. We were surprised how quickly the food came out. My burger was a little undercooked from what I ordered but it was still good. We both enjoyed the fries and my wife's salad. Came for their 2-7pm Happy Hour (HH), which apparently is available daily. They have indoor and outdoor seating, where some areas are reserved for corporate or group events. The bar oversees Tysons Center mall (outdoor, near the metro) and so even sitting inside would require scooting in if you want to stay cool on a hot summer's day. The parking situation is that in order to get validation you must park at the Hyatt (or at Tyson's center). We arrived around 4pm so we opted for the quiet patio seating, where our server opened a parasol for us so we could remain shaded. Service was excellent in that we felt very welcome. Our server was attentive and friendly. The HH food selection is that random apps on the menu are $2 off, so we ordered loaded tots, a cucumber tomato salad, and deviled eggs. The loaded were as expected. The salad was exceptionally good and now I want to try their full sized salads. The deviled eggs was very rich and filling where the yolk part far exceeded the size of the whites. The HH drinks were disappointing. The discounts only applied to select beers. The rail cocktails came in the same cups as their water cups (aka tiny), and in the end we just opted for ordering off the HH discounted menu because then at least we can have what we want. The old fashioned was tasty. A very sweet interpretation of the drink. The blackberry cider was also very sweet and refreshing. I came here with my husband for happy hour/dinner before a movie, and the service was topnotch. Our server was very friendly and made us feel welcome as he told us about the happy hour specials. We started with beer and a giant pretzel. Then moved on to a salad with steak and the house specialty burger. Everything tasted great, and the portions were plenty filling. Stopped by with my family for lunch. This place is located on the upper level by the hotel. They have large tables and it's spacious. There are too many items to list but I did capture a few items that were tasty. The Grilled romaine salad was refreshing. The roasted tomatillo dressing was very good. I got the b&b grilled cheese. I'll say this is a very heavy item. It taste good when you dip it into the tomato soup but by itself, it's a bit too rich. Finally the grass fed cheeseburger was good. One of my favorite items here is simple but good is the seasoned french fries. They have great seasoning on it. The service was great. This is a modern and upscale take on a bar. Tables are mostly communal style, with a couple of 4 seaters. They use high-quality ingredients in their food, and it's clear they take time to get the perfect presentation. Prices are a little on the high side. For instance, the kids' meal for a chicken dinner with fries is $14, and that's just a piece of fried chicken breast with fries and some carrot strips. Portions are good, though, and service is good as well. However, a couple of things made this a so- so experience for me: 1) The lamb burger I got was not good. I was expecting freshly ground lamb formed into a patty, but the patty was instead compact, dense, and had the consistency of gyro meat that taste pre-processed rather than fresh. 2) The waiter made a mistake with my order and served me a fried chicken sandwich rather than my lamb burger. When I told him my order was wrong, he took the entire order back and gave me a new one. This took a while, so I watched the rest of my family eat and wondered: what did they do with the chicken sandwich I got? Did they toss it or serve it to someone else? It would have made sense for them to let me keep the sandwich and just get me a new lamb burger, especially in the post-COVId Era. 3) After we ate, we felt surprisingly empty. Our bellies were full, but our mouths craved something more. I'm not sure what it was with the meal, but it didn't leave me satisfied. The service was ok but they didn't provide us with spoons which I thought was odd lol. Truth be told I don't usually come here for food, but the dishes I've had thus far haven't let me down. I love their enormous salads and their HH foods- the tater tots and deviled salmon eggs are great finger food to share while imbibing on a warm summer weekend afternoon. We usually end up here with our doggo (please note that they do NOT allow dogs still but ours is a service animal). Seems like most people ignore the no pets anyway and no one seems to be giving them a hard time. I also don't see the point of not allowing dogs considering the whole floor now allows them. Anyway, the service is par. The bartenders are well quipped with quick hands. I haven't met anyone who doesn't like their burgers so that's probably a safe bet but I don't eat red meat so don't quote me on that! They have a large patio seating which is nice on the weekends when there's live music on the terrace, the bar area has 3 communal tables- makes for a good after hours get together. Hot fried chicken is basically fried chicken on french toast with maple syrup and it was so flavorful. We really loved the Salmon dish too - ordered salmon well done but it was still so soft, not dry at all, and their grain / rice was seasoned perfectly! Wish they had more veggies with the salmon. Place had a nice vibe, parking was easy (mall parking, duh). One thing that prevented this place from getting a 5 instead of 4 is their high price. A dish costed ~$25-30 and I thought it was really steep for a brunch dish. Food was really good but you are almost paying a dinner entree price for brunch?! Service was a little slow / could've been more attentive, but no major complaints! They do know how to cook. If the price tag doesn't bother you, this spot is definitely worth trying! read more

My husband and I were there a few days ago and walked from the mall to the Hyatt's lobby to the restaurant. On the way to Barrel & Bushel the smell in the Hyatt's lobby of sewer was hard to miss. We sat at the very far end of the bar at Barrel & Bushel. The cappuccino was great and the chicken and French toast tasty and huge. Steak and eggs was cooked very well despite the thin steak. [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, after about 10 mins the sewer smell was traveling into the restaurant. Not pleasant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We talked to the bartender who said it's been a couple of weeks.. I really hope that Barrel & Bushel complains to the Hyatt to get this fixed. read more

This was not bad and came with different types of food for the dips. For the main dish, I ordered the "Fried Chicken Sandwich" which was a decent sandwich. The service was alright. The waitress was very kind and friendly but the person running our food was rude. They were able to accommodate food allergies which was appreciated. This was a relatively decent/normal experience. This restaurant was pretty cute and a good price for the area. We went on a Saturday night so there was about a 30 min wait, which wasn't too bad. It's adjacent to a nice hotel with a shared common space, by the Tyson's Corner Mall, so we just sat in the lobby and used the restroom. Once seated the service was pretty fast. There were a lot of great options, including several vegetarian ones which I was happy to see. I decided on the avocado toast which came with a side salad. The salad was possibly even better than the toast and egg - and this is from someone who doesn't love salad! The veggies were so fresh and I loved the radishes and seeds in the mix. The last time I was here, I ordered a medium temp burger to go for what reason I don't know, and when it came out looking a little more on the rare side, I couldn't even blame them. It was my fault. This time around we got the 72 hour braised pork belly and it... was... amazing. At first bite, you get a little bit of a sweet and tangy flavor, and then all of a sudden, you're biting into a light and fluffy pillow of heaven. The portion sizes aren't really great if you're actually sharing. For a table of four we quickly needed a second order, but I had no regrets. Poutine was also a great choice as well. The crispy fries were amazing and I didn't get tired of the flavors. We also got the Fritos pie and spicy pasta (which, to note: I was skeptical of at first because I don't like spicy food, but it really wasn't too bad at all!) This place is the ideal spot for a happy hour/dinner with coworkers after work or lunch/dinner with friends so it's a no brainer that I'll be coming back, but I had to tell someone about my love for the pork belly.
