    Ometeo Margarita (8oz) - 1.5 servings

After our first experience at Ometeo being negative due to service issues a year ago, we tried again and were very pleased with service and food quality. The staff was very attentive and each dish (enchiladas, guacamole and even the. French toast) was wonderfully prepared and tasted great. I would've given the restaurant 5 stars, but it was hard to hear the other person at a two person table as the tables were deep and lots of folks around. Ambiance was lovely.

Ometeo is located in Capital One, Virginia. The entire block is basically Capital One buildings. Nonetheless, the food was decent. Their guacamole was good, their green salsa was good and their chips were good. I had the pork belly tacos and the tacos were nicely constructed and the ingredients paired well. I don't know if I would come here if I wasn't in the area already but it's worth a try if you are. Free parking for 2 hours as well in the open parking lot down the street from it.

My family and I came here for Mother's Day lunch and we didn't have the best experience with our service. The restaurant plays really loud music so it's hard to hear ourselves talk and makes it hard for our waiter to hear. Our waiter was not the friendliest and didn't smile at all. We didn't get refills on our drinks or water unless we flagged down our waiter. Our appetizers were also forgotten. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside but I don't think we would come back here due to the service we received and the food was just okay. You can find better service and food at Rangos tex mex which is just across the street.

Went here for a family dinner. Goid authentic Mexican food. Fajitas with shrimp were good. Sides were large. Guac was good. My sister and husband shared the giant meat lovers fajitas with short rib, brisket and more for around 85 dollars. leftovers gallore. Great strawberry margaritas.

I was so excited to try this place because I heard good things and the ambiance is fun and clean. However, I didn't love the fish tacos or shrimp chimichanga. Both were oily, resulting in much belching. The regular margarita was watered down sugar water with no alcohol flavor. I probably wouldn't go again even though I'm in that area for other things pretty frequently.

Mina was just an amazing server! I'm updating my review to giver her credit for also recommending the Mezcal Negroni!

We decided to go here for restaurant week since it's been on my list for a minute. Pretty solid menu with massive portions all things considered. I opted for just a water but landed on the chicken tortilla soup, enchinalas, and some vanilla ice cream. The atmosphere there is pretty cool and they have a sick private event space upstairs. Speaking of upstairs, that's where the bathrooms are too. Single stalls for the dudes, sick. They goofed our ice cream (pina colada instead of vanilla bean) but quickly made it right. Great spot and I look forward to going here when it isn't restaurant week.

I have eaten here since its opening, celebrated many special events and casual dinners. 1. Reservation: recommended, but you will get a table just fine unless you come during special holidays. 2. Food: taste is good but I usually feel indigestion later. - tacos: great! - ceviche: was a bit disappointing. I normally like the taste - meat platter: huge and it is good! 3. Dessert: not good. The cakes are dry and tastes like they had it in the fridge for long 4. Drinks: mixed drinks are great! 5. Service: very accommodating and polite. 6. Ambience is welcoming, warm and can host both small and big parties, including business meetings. 7. Don't order takeout here! It travels poorly and doesn't taste good. Just need to eat it fresh. All in all, a great place.

I've been here to eat and for events. The food is Americanized Latin food at best. Flavor is bland. I think my gripe is that during events, I haven't even finished eating or drinking and my food is quickly taken away. Even requesting that I am still working on my food or drink, it's generally disregarded and taken away. It causes the organizer or me to have to order more food and drink. I don't like the game of buying more food and drink just to make more money because I think it is awfully wasteful to just throw away half eaten food and expensive drinks that I would totally eat but am just busy socializing. I end up feeling like I have to hold the items in my hand or eat as fast as I can or else it will be taken away.

My only complaint is that it's not closer to my house!! The service, top notch! The food is elevated on another level. The ambiance is also lovely, i can't wait to come back for summer nights.

Beautiful restaurant, great for big groups and easily shareable menu! We were a group of 7. Service was attentive and helpful. Fried Cauliflower- yum! Flautas-tasty Pork belly taco-were good Matamoros taco- was ok, was kinda bland Fajitas- very generous portions Food quality was solid. I'd prefer a little more "heat" but overall food quality was good. We would definitely return.

really great dinner, seated right away with a reservation (weekend night so highly recommended given the capital one hall next door), and the western decor were so unique! Saw a reception in the upper mezzanine space and overall great vibes

Came here with a friend for dinner. We sat outside which was really pleasant! Perfect music level. Nice breeze. Good service. We started with a margarita which was pretty weak. Then we got the queso with chorizo. It was good. Chips, and most things, needed more salt. Chips came with a green salsa that I loved. I got the pascal tacos and loved them! Three come to an order. I also got the beans charros which had a kick. Loved them and serving is big so I made nachos with them the next day.

They have a few tables with umbrellas for cover during the day and even some lighting for nights. Food: The steak and sushi combo was interesting. The sirloin bites were small, but good, the sushi was mid - just not enough tuna on the crispy tuna rice and not enough flavor. The pesto spaghetti (Shrimp and Scallop Spaghettini) was good, but came with only two shrimp and a handful of the smallest scallops I've ever been served. The salmon entree was cooked well. Drinks: The cocktails were the highlight of the night. Several good margarita and martini variations on the menu that were perfect for the weather. Service: This was the worst part of the meal. Our server seemed to be frazzled the whole night. Twice during the meal we had our drinks delivered to the wrong table. The manager verbally apologized, but took nothing off the bill. It wasn't just our table though - we saw several of our server's tables get the wrong food or drinks. It also took a really long time to get water refilled at the table which was an issue in the heat. Verdict: 6/10. If they ironed out the kinks with service and dropped their prices by 10% on select dishes (tiny sirloin bites and subpar crispy tuna rice for almost $50 is madness), they would probably be an 8/10. I'll probably give them one more try and just avoid some dishes.

Delicious Indian restaurant - great happy hour and brunch spot!…read more The happy hour from 4pm-7pm Monday-Fri is an amazing deal. I ordered 2 dishes and a cocktail for under $20! I requested for the Paneer Tikka Flatbread (not on the menu)- vegetarian version of the Chicken Paneer Tikka Flatbread. The naan pizza was delicious, it was stuffed with cubes of paneer with a side of Tikki Masala dipping sauce. Highly recommend it! You can get the Paneer Pizza next door too! The Paneer Tacos were filling and fun to try, but large chunky blocks of paneer. While I enjoyed the spicy mayo sauce, I wish the paneer was cut up into cubes. It just felt a bit heavy with the paneer. The Spinach Artichoke Fritters (4) were tasty. The Mango Mojito and the Mumbai Mule cocktail weren't that good, but it honestly it's hard to complain when it's only $6/drink. The unlimited weekend brunch at $38 is a great deal and well worth it! You can choose from over a dozen Indian fusion dishe - as a bonus mango lassi, chai, and soft drinks are included! You can order 2 dishes/person at a time and the servers hastily swing by to clear your plates and place your next order! Between the 3 of us, we ordered almost conquered the full brunch menu and had a delightful brunch feast! The food had a spicy kick, but not overpowering and wasn't greasy. The portions range from small, bite-size apps to full, large entree size. There's a lot of vegetarian dishes on the menu with a few non-veg as well. There's a good balance between traditional Indian dishes and Western fusion with a hint of American flavors/presentation. My favorite stand-outs: - Aam Chat Papri with crispy Papri pita like chips with mango, chick peas, and potatoes smothered in yogurt and chutney, and topped with spicy garam masala mix - Chana Bhatura with chick pea curry and fluffy, bubbly fried bread. Large portion. - Spinach and Artichoke Fritters - Crispy bite-size balls filled with creamy spinach artichoke dip, 4 come in an order and perfect for sharing! - Aloo Bravas - Crispy, diced potatoes very reminiscent of the Spanish Patatas Bravas with aioli sauce and mild masala spicy kick - Butter Chicken - My friend enjoyed it, solid full entree size. I didn't order or try it in, but it looked pretty tasty and could easily why she made a happy empty plate! - Nutella Bread Pakora - Tastes like a bites-size Nutella fried donut! So good we ordered another one! - Helluva Hallawa Trio - I enjoyed sampling the 3 types of Hallawa, ranging in savory (carrot) to more sweet and milky (my favorite). - Mango Lassi - The sweetness of the mango lassi helped to balance out and absorb the spiciness of the food. - Masala Chai - Great ending to a meal, perfectG caffeine pick me up! Paired well with the Nutella bread Pakora. The other dishes on the menu were fun to try, but would probably skip and save room for my faves: - Aloo Sabzi and Katchuri - The dense hollow shell katchuri (similar to a round empanada) made of dhal lentil smothered in Aloo potato curry sabzi was very filling and dense. After a couple of bites, I threw in the towel. - Egg Burgi and Paratha - The masala spicy scrambled egg on paratha flatbread was kind of bland and a very small portion. - Mango Mimosa - While the mimosas were only $4, it was quite tangy and didn't pair well with the meal. I wish fresh mango juice was used instead of mango flavored juice (tastes like Izzy). The lunch buffet (Mon - Fri 12pm - 2:30pm for $23 wasn't the best experience. Admittedly, I came to the buffet at 1:30pm and the food was tepid and sadly overcooked under the heat lamp. The plates were very small and it was hard to fit a bunch of food. I went to the buffet at least 3 or 4 times to try out the dishes in search of the perfect bite, which I sadly couldn't. There were 5 main standard dishes with 3 vegetarian dishes (Dal Makhani, Aloo Ghobi, and Mehti Paneer) and 2 non-veg featuring both chicken dishes (Butter Chicken and Chicken Curry) and a galore of fried fritters/pakoras (spinach, onion, potato) with a couple of new rotating stations with Pani Puri (not much going on) and Spinach Tikki and Fish Pakora fried fritters. The Mehti Paneer was quite greasy with a coat of grease at the top and the paneer was pretty stiff. It wasn't tender. The Dal Makhani was bland. The potato aloo potatoes were brittle as they were sitting under the heat lamp too long. The best part about the meal was the fluffy naan, which was made-to-order. I enjoyed 2 rounds! Order the Masala Dosa crispy! When we got it the 1st time on the lunch special, it was a bit rubbery and soggy. After the server asked us a few times whether we liked it, my hubby relented and told him the honest answer. The server got the dosa re-made to go extra crispy, which did the trick! The masala potatoes paired well with the dosa. I wasn't a fan of the Sambar. I ordered quite a bit right off the bat but my guests slow roll throughout the experience and she didn't seem too happy with that. Taking away our menus doesn't encourage us to order either. You charge $22 for one tea sandwhich but can't afford to print out more menus? The menus were also pretty dingy and I hand sanitized after using them. 5. Food. Was mid at best. Not at all authentic Japanese. I had the oyster shooter, temaki, Wagyu toast, Wagyu quesadilla, and mocktail. The oyster shooter was too sweet. And you could only taste the oyster and caviar at the end. Mostly as an aftertaste. There was a "too sweet" aspect to most of the food. The temaki was okay and I liked the crunchy bits but they went too far with the plastic wrap on the seaweed. The plastic wrap gave me Japanese 7-11 onigiri vibes. You do that if you aren't efficient enough to get the food out to guests at once and the seaweed will get soggy. I'm not sure if it was for a "fun factor" for people who are unfamiliar with grocery store onigiri in Asia but in a restaurant it should be done for you. The Wagyu toast was a HUGE disappointment. It was Sooooo sweet. I filet barely taste anything except the gross, sweet jam. And the toast was soggy and the texture of the bread felt prepared the day before and like refrigerator. It was not toasted at all. The star was the Wagyu quesadilla with beef tendon chips. It was the cheapest item on the menu and the most filling and delicious. 6. Drinks were very good. Expect about $20 a pop... $50 for the Japanese whiskey is highway robbery. Nothing really "rare." I have most bottles on the kitchen counter from the Virginia ABc or DC Costco. You can buy an entire bottle of the Japanese whiskey at Costco for the cost of one serving here. Overall, the Naisho room felt like all hype. For over $100 I was still pretty hungry. If the food tasted good I would have ordered more but I didn't think it was worth it. You get a nice view but it's the same from most of the capital one building. Same view from the brewery. Don't waste your money. Go elsewhere. Plenty of better happy hour spots for much much less considering if you stay for more than two hours you have to pay for parking (we did becuase, well, our reservation was at 4:30...)

O my! I don't know where to start…read more.. Chris L. was our serve on this trip and he had wonderful recommendations, like: 1. Golden hour cocktail - It was just lovely! It tastes like the best rum punch you've had. It was perfectly sweet, but not too sweet. Beautiful in color. So good I had to sip this one very slowly...like it was the last or only one ever made. DELICIOUS! He also recommended the: 2. Smoked Old Fashioned and it was served to perfection as well. Nice and smoky and smooove. Then...we had the lobster tacos. I don't like lobster. Well, I didn't like lobster until I tried these tacos. To be honest, the lobster tasted like crab legs and the taco was dressed in all fresh ingredients (avocado, charred corn, cilantro, and a fresh flour tortilla) Alright...then next up was the Panko Crusted Sole. It is not filleted tableside because it is pan seared in the kitchen. It was very filling. I think I had three nice-sized filets. It came pretty much with a light and fresh tomato salad. You should do it! Then there was the Crab Cake, which was good. It was in the sweeter end. It was a large portion. It does not have jumbo lump crab meat, but don't let that deter you. Christ also informed us that the "Accompaniments" (sides) could be ordered in half sizes and indeed we - I - had a half size of the Au Gratin Potatoes. They were very smooth, flavorful, and creamy. Also, shouts out to Oscar who held down the water service and the other little things in between that also made this evening even better. The ambiance...I can't wait to head here again on Friday! I went in Saturday evening and the 3 Bears (band) was the live musical entertainment. They were AMAZING! To be honest, I just want to drop in and get a salad and drink...but everything else was so wonderful that $300 later, I'm writing this review. It was worth every penny - and don't forget to tip the band yall! That's it.

The food is always exceptional at Eddie V's no matter the location…read more This is my first time at the VA/Tysons location and I just wanted to highlight the kids menu. My son is very particular about what he eats, and the fact that a mini filet with French fries was an option made this an easy dinner outing with a 4 year old. He had a fruit plate starter then the fillet and finished with a vanilla ice cream! Top tier! Bravo and Thank you Eddie V's!
