We really loved it here! We snagged a last-minute reservation before a concert since we were craving something light and fresh, and this place was perfect. We started with the tuna and guacamole--both were fresh and delicious. Then we shared a flatbread and the special watermelon arugula salad, which paired perfectly. The portions were great too--we even had leftovers! Our waiter was excellent, kept our drinks full, and recommended the flatbread, which we're so glad we went with. We had a great experience at Indulge Bistro & Wine Bar recently. The first thing you notice is the massive selection--they have a plethora of wines available by the glass, bottle, or through tastings, but they also have a full bar with beer and liquor if wine isn't your first choice. I opted for the Chateau Ste. Michelle Sauvignon Blanc from the Horse Heaven Vineyard, and it was lovely. It was very refreshing with light citrus notes that weren't overpowering and a really nice body overall. I also have to give a shout-out to the staff for the presentation; the glassware was crystal clear and spotless, which always makes the drink taste a little better. The atmosphere is perfectly casual, with TVs playing the NFL playoffs (and presumably other sports), making it a relaxed spot to hang out without being too "stuffy." We dove into their large food menu and started with the fried pickles and the spinach artichoke dip served with veggies, both of which were delicious. The service was friendly and jovial throughout the visit, which made us feel right at home. The only reason I'm knocking off one star is that we had a small lapse in service where we had to ask a second time for lemons for a glass of water, but the staff was so pleasant that it was a minor blip in an otherwise excellent visit. Drove into Golden, "It Was Busy!" A country Singer was at Red Rocks, still I found more than what I had known in the past! First: FREE PARKING, covered or outside off of Washington and 12th. I felt I had won the Lottery. As I was exiting, a man pulled in next to me, and stated, Indulge Bistro around the corner is "Fantastic, you and your Service Dog will love it!" He was spot on. A short corner walk, the street were crowded, I thought, has Golden changed so much - I have been out of the loop? Strolling past a lovely "Every Table Filled" with delighted guess enjoying food and conversation. Pretty Eyes and I walked into the Front Entrance, What a Lovely Presentation. Immediately I was greeted by Pearl, a lovey young lady who sat us inside, (I was over done on the heat!) She asked if we would like water or a drink, I prefer Ice Tea, and some water in our special Doggy collapsible bowl. Service was prompt, with menues with a Special menu, "Staff Suggestions!" This fit my desire for an incredible salad. "Butternut Squash with Feta cheese, walnuts, over frisée, drizzled with a Maple syrup house fashioned dressing!" YUM Do you have a small plate of chicken, nothing special please, Pretty Eyes and I enjoy our meal together, "Please a simple portion/child portion would be great." What the chef prepared was phenomenal. If I were not a vegetarian, (sampling for spice) I would have gobbled the glazed chicken myself. The chicken was freshly cooked, with a ever so slight glaze, TENDER was the primary touch. The service was exemplary! Especially learning the facts. Pearl and Daryl were the ONLY TWO servers!! Daryl took orders, made the drinks at the Bar and Tables besides taking food order, delivery the delicious meals to all on the patio, at the Bar and tables!! Pearl presenting seating, drinks - menu and cleaning up after customers left. This is a HUGE amount of work, and accomplished flawlessly. I had to ask, "am I out of the loop on the busyness of Golden?" "No, we have a famous country singer at Red Rocks for several nights; these are all people from Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico and more states including Colorado. During my time at Indulge Bistro, I watched while two women accomplish a daunting task in seating, taking orders, delivering, clean up, bartending - with out as much as a whisper of non contentment. Instead many "Thank You from all customers." More than IMPRESSIVE! And the food was Incredibly Delicious. I will admit I would had preferred less frisée, yet the salad was unbelievably delicious I could not shave off 1/2 of a star! The service extraordinary from two lovely woman, and the Ambiance is not wanting for any more extras. In town visiting family for the holidays and the whole crew decided to eat at Indulge Bistro & Wine Bar and it was great. We had a pretty diverse group and this included young grandchildren. Despite this we all were able to get something we wanted and enjoyed. I ordered the "Tony Soprano" flatbread pizza with a side salad and it was great. Now, let's talk service. I'm not saying our waitress hated us, but if eye-rolling were an Olympic sport, she would've taken home the gold. Every time we asked for something - like, say, a drink or acknowledgment of our existence - she acted like we were personally ruining her evening. Definitely not winning any Miss Congeniality awards. Speaking of drinks, I ordered an Old Fashioned that was more Old and less Fashioned. At $15, I expected magic; instead, I got something that tasted like a melted ice cube with a hint of regret. We found this bistro and wine bar with a decent menu that has flatbread and burgers, though they are a little pricey I think it's apropos for the downtown area. The service was fine but a little short. It was still happy hour but they didn't offer us happy hour, though they did to the next table. We were too tired to argue. Ordered some spicy burger with cream cheese and it was amazing. Really hit the spot. Their cocktails are tasty. The cherry drink that came in a tall glass was too easy to drink at $15 each. The dining room is intimate, with nooks and crannies for small parties. I asked the server if the garlic fries come out crispy. He said they did but I asked for him to request a new dish. We ate here a few nights ago and was pleasantly surprised per some reviews I had read. We ordered prime rib, salmon and fish and chips. All were great--especially the salmon and prime rib which were cooked perfectly. The wine is a little pricey but we got $2 off per glass because of happy hour. Service was great. Met a friend here after a hike and was absolutely blown away with the attention to detail - in more ways than most places offer. Let me explain. My friend has Celiac disease and has to (really) police her food and how it's cooked. She called ahead and had a lovely conversation with staff. So, we're on our way. If you've been to this location, you already know how gorgeous and well laid out the interior is. Absolutely stunning. Add the same attention to detail with your food and bam, there's five stars. We also hit happy hour, which is always a plus. Gluten free or maybe you're working with Celiac? The kitchen has a dedicated frier and is attentive to the potential of cross contamination. An audible exhale, a big smile and amazing food = priceless. The app I had was delicious - packed with flavor and very pretty to look at. This place was awesome! Had several things I could eat with my allergen concerns (gluten, soy, potato). I got the steak and broccolini and it was so good. Melt in your mouth steak. I see other reviews about the waitress below and from my perspective, she did her job. She took our order, gave us drinks, refilled drinks, brought our order, cared about my allergens, and brought the check without a fuss. Even used the Yelp code for a free dessert without complaint. None of the service was with a smile, but I don't care about that. Hell, I don't like to smile either. Much less at work. Good service doesn't have to come with a smile. It just has to be operable and correct, in my opinion. She got everything right, was efficient, and verified she'd heard me on my allergens without my prompting. We went to this restaurant while at a conference. The restaurant atmosphere was nice, and the food was good. Two of us ordered some wine. We did not specify a label, and our waiter, Aaron, did not ask. I was looking at the first (and cheapest) of the options, and we openly discussed the price while he was taking our drink orders. When the check came, we were charged for a much higher priced wine. We asked about the difference, and were told that "he picked a nicer one for us." Without asking. We went on a Sunday for brunch. It was very quiet there and we wanted to sit outside so we sat at the open bar area and there were shade trees above us. The other outdoor area is full covered. It was an awesome place to people and puppy watch. We had mimosas and just stayed for an hour. My husband had steak and eggs and said everything was cooked perfectly (since it is a dinner place he felt safe ordering this and getting some good). I had the veggie bowl which was really good. It was potatoes, a succotash type mix and asparagus with some lovely, perfectly ripe avocado and scrambled eggs. The server was attentive and did not push us to leave. I decided to have dinner here before going to the theater. I had made reservations, so I was sat right away. The option to book reservations online is so convenient. The inside of the restaurant has a definite wine bar vibe with wine bottles displayed everywhere. They have a large selection of wines of all varieties to satisfy any palette. I arrived during Happy Hour which is from 3:00-6:00, which gives you about $2 off some of the appetizers, flatbreads, and certain drinks. I was excited to see that they had fried pickles on their menu and started to order them before discovering they were large pickle spears instead of thinly sliced rounds. That is just too much pickle for me, so I opted out of ordering an appetizer. When we ordered our dinner, I got the Tony Soprano flatbread and my friend got the "Margherita" flatbread. I enjoyed the Italian sausage and mushrooms on the Tony Soprano. The sausage is finely crumbled and slightly crispy. I did order a side of jalapenos after it came out because I felt as though it was lacking another flavor element. After I was about 1/4 of the way through, the cheese started to get weird. It became strange...like greasy yet hard. My friend who ordered the Margherita flatbread did not like hers. She said that it was just a regular cheese pizza with thick slices of Roma tomatoes and lots of basil all over. Neither one of us wanted to finish our flatbread, especially after I found a hair in mine. Our waiter was friendly and kept our sodas filled up. He seemed knowledgeable about the menu and everything came out fast. I didn't mention the gross hair in my food though since I didn't want the restaurant thinking I wanted a free meal after I ate half of it, but I certainly didn't want any more after I found it. Overall, the restaurant seemed clean. My only critique on that would be that when I went to wash my hands in the bathroom, the way that the sink and faucet are set up makes it impossible to not contaminate your hands while washing them. The faucet is so low in the sink and butted up against the side of it that your hands literally cannot fit under the faucet without touching every surface area of the sink. That is a serious design flaw all for the sake of aesthetics. I was glad to try a new place, but for the price and quality, I think I may try other options in Golden. read more

Nice sophisticated spot with a great wine list in an upscale setting. Food and service both need some work - first the food: we shared the fried pickles which were delivered hot however about a third of it was just bits of batter. The wedge salad was generously portioned and the greens fresh however the dressing tasted bottled. The Mediterranean flatbread was more done on one side than the other and the toppings weren't evenly distributed so a couple pieces of it were soggy. They have a lot of great items on the menu but the kitchen execution needs tweaking. Service was slow and not highly attentive - it appeared it was just two servers managing the inside and outside dining areas (and working the bar) plus they were running their own food from the kitchen. We were promptly offered a second round of wine and then waited 10 minutes for it - likewise the wait time between the pickers and the salad was at least 20 minutes. It would have gone a long way with us if the server had just acknowledged the wait. Staffing is a management issue - you can't have two people covering that many seats so you either put more staff on the floor or limit the number of tables seated at any one time. Yeah - either way it's an additional expense but it's what customers expect with a $150 meal. read more

The last several times I've been here the service has been terrible and I've been ignored having to almost yell at the bartender for a drink/menu/ water even though the people next to me were waited on relatively fast. I've always been polite and tip well 20% or better) but there's been a shift. Poor service, appetizers coming out after the meal and the food has gone downhill in taste and quality. I truly like indulge and have always enjoyed it as a great date night choice. But like I said. There seems to have been a shift in service attitude.
