These are the two most frequent responses I hear when I bring this up around town. Yes, discussing Home Depot's brat slinging abilities is high on my small talk list. Anywho, if you're not familiar, some Home Depot locations boast a hot dog stand outside of the store. And this particular location of 52nd and Wads is home to this phenomenon. As a new(ish) homeowner I've been making way too many trips to Home Depot since we moved in. But who can complain when I can look forward to a tasty, satiating brat after lugging around some lumber?! Will it knock your socks off? No. Is it gourmet? No. Is the fact that this whole situation exists make it worthwhile? Yes. Cash only. Build your own brat. Great toppings. Make it a meal with chips and a soda. Hand over a few bucks and you're outta there. I usually scarf it down at the picnic table, because why the heck not?
