Cup of Chili

This has been a local favorite for years. I've never had a bad meal here for any time of day (dine in or take out). The place is always clean. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is always hot and fresh. The daily specials offer great options in addition the normal menu as well.

Turkey Dinner

I was craving diner food so we decided to give them a try! Very good! Prices were very affordable, portions were great and the food was very tasty! I of course went with a Turkey Dinner and I would definitely order it again!!

Fish and chips

In the mood for some classic diner food, we stumbled across the Kozy Nook. It was nice and spacious inside, and the booths were very comfortable. They have a good variety on the menu; so there will be something to please everyone. I went with the fish and chips. Although the coleslaw wasn't my favorite, I absolutely loved the generous portion of delicious fish. It was really delicious and I would definitely order it again next time! The prices are fair, and the portions are good, as is the service. Having such a good experience, I definitely can't wait to come back again soon!

Chicken and rice soup

As soon as the waitress brought my order out and place it on the table in front of me, I automatically knew this food was going to be bland. A business trip took me to the great state of Massachusetts. I ended up stopping in for dinner at the Kozy Nook Restaurant. Chicken and Rice Soup I was starving so I ordered a cup of chicken and rice soup as an appetizer. This dish was actually pretty good. A sprinkle of salt, pinch of pepper, and a pack of crackers, the chicken and rice soup was a great warm up for my empty stomach. The Sirloin Tips I normally order my steaks medium well. This time I opted for medium. The sirloin tips were the best part of the dish. You could taste the grilled flavor in the meat. The meat was very tender and juicy.... kind of made me want to order just a side of the tips to take some home.... to eat with grits of course. The Corn Nothing much really to say about the corn. The corn tastes just like corn. It was warm. No added flavors. The Mashed Potatoes and Gravy Too start..... Throw that gravy away. The gravy taste as if they scraped the bottom of the pot and diluted it with water. The garlic mashed potatoes could have used a little bit of salt... Otherwise it was fine. Creamy. What I will say though is on the way out, we walked past this couple's table. They had ordered three different types of pizza. They looked really good. Somebody let me know how they taste. Overall I left full but my taste buds were let down.   #Westport  #sirlointips #foodtour #Dartmouth #Bedford #explorepage  #foodie #foodporn #neweats #instafood #foodstagram #foodblogger #foodlover  #corn #foodgasm #instagood #foodiesofinstagram #foodpics #tasty #traveling #followforfollow  #GratuityAdded   #goodforgroups #imhungry #garlic  #foodlover  #Massachusetts #restaurant  #dinner  #foodbeast

The drinks that we tried were all quite tasty. The calamari was good. The fried chicken Caesar wrap was great. It didn't have croutons so beware if you're looking for that, but it had great flavor. I was a little hesitant to have the peanut butter thing cheesecake as I don't know why you'd stray from the peanut butter thing. That being said, it was delicious and I would definitely get it again.

Our waitress (Ashley) was very personable and made some great suggestions. We started w/ drinks (I tried the Bravo Zulu as suggested). It was excellent. We had Wellfleet oysters that were sweet & delicious. For our dinners we had the pineapple glazed steak tips & fish tacos. The fish tacos were very good BUT the steak tips were incredible. They were blackened on the edges but very juicy and so tender, they melt in your mouth. The dish came with mashed potato's that were creamy & delicious. It may sound strange but what put it over the top was the roasted carrots. I could have eaten another dish, although the portion was generous. After dinner we sat and watched the sunset. My wife had a Hugo spritz and I tried an espresso martini but w/ tequila instead of vodka (as my waitress suggested). It was spot on. Fast, friendly service. Great atmosphere and incredible food and drinks. This was one of our best restaurant experiences in a while. They get a 10 out of 10 bc I can't imagine how it could have been better.

If you like thick clam chowder, this is it. For meals we opted to split the honey, hot chicken sandwich and a buffalo chicken pizza. Not gonna lie, the bowl of chowder was pretty big, and I was pretty full by the time I was done with it. The honey hot chicken sandwich is more like a honey mustard chicken. It was still pretty good, but if you are expecting hot honey, this is not it. I opted to have the blue cheese on the side with the pizza, because my husband doesn't like blue cheese. The buffalo chicken pizza was actually really delicious. It was like a bar pizza that you would get from the south shore. You really can't find this pizza in Rhode Island or in Southern MA, so this was a great find. Staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't get any alcoholic drinks cause it was pretty early and not much of a day drinker, but it had a really good vibe and I'm sure it's a lot of fun at night. The drink menu looked really good so I'll likely come back for drinks and apps. There's a cute outdoor seating area. It was pretty hot so we sat inside, but I'm sure this is a great place to sit at night time once the sun goes down and it cools off.

Place was busy but the he was able to take care of us. Some of the girls had bottomless mimosas (only oj as a juice option). The drink menu was not very extensive. Our Asian salad cups appetizer tasted exactly like an Asian salad mix I've bought at the grocery store and looked like it too - I'm convinced that's exactly how they prepared this. My veggie burger had burnt edges and wasn't too enjoyable flavor-wise. It didn't help my overall impression that when I got takeout here another time, they totally butchered my boyfriend's name when we ordered over the phone, and we had a hard time picking up our order because of this (how you get "Stephanie" from "Anthony," I just really don't know). I think this place just gets lucky having a good location across from Independence Park and being close to but just out of the way from downtown. Can't say I was impressed by the food - there are too many other good options in Bristol, I just can't say I'd recommend this to others. Perhaps it's improved since I visited, but it's a pass for me based on experiences I've had.
