Decided to stop by as I was close by. As soon as we got there we were served sweet bread, instead of the traditional chips and salsa; I thought it was a nice gesture. It was quiet there this morning so the order came out quite fast. I ordered huevos rancheros and they were delicious with a good amount of spicy. Today I went in for lunch. The place had some full tables but they served me quickly and happily. The vibe of the place is so relaxing with a mixture of modern and industrial chic. The staff is amazing the owner is as good as gold and when your stumped on what to eat she will help you out. Service is fantastic. First of all, we are out of towners and just happened to find this hidden gem. We were a group of 7 and we all tried different foods off the menu. No one had a complaint about their meals. Everyone said their dish was delicious! The service was great and for 7 of us the bill was also great! The portions are plenty and I would highly recommend if you haven't tried this place it's worth the trip to have a delicious brunch! I wish I had taken pictures but sorry, next time! read more

The service was great, the water poured in a "tequila " like bottle was a nice touch, the REAL coasters (not paper) was also a nice touch. Good location if you're around the Plaza de Lagartos. The prices are well... reasonable. They were out of certain wing sauces, but they still managed to make the order and whip something up and the sauce tasted great. We enjoyed our food and the service was great. Unfortunately, it wasn't very family friendly. The whole time we where there (5:30pm - 6:30pm), relatively loud music (a speaker was right above our table) with explicit lyrics was playing. Some songs were extremely vulgar, if it was a video it would be a porno (an XXX porno). I thought it was inappropriate for a restaurant dinner service, and it made it difficult to enjoy my meal and conversation. After we ordered, a couple came in, sat down, and quickly left. Review in take-out: My mom was craving flautas ahogadas but my stomach cannot handle Chico's. I did a quick search for them on Yelp and Barrio Eats turned up. I called to place an order and I love that they have options: beef or chicken, red or green. We tried both sauces and while the red is more in the Chico's style, the green will be my go-to in the future. The flautas were crispy and held up under the sauce and cheese (maybe just a tad too much cheese--and two different kinds at that--but cheese lovers will celebrate). What surprised me most were the fries, they were outstanding! And usually fries soften under the moisture if the takeout containers but not these...I couldn't stop eating them. The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice and their menu is vast. Service was really friendly too. I look forward to eating inside in the not too distant future, but I may have a difficult time ordering anything but the flautas ahogadas! read more

Ambience is very laid back, food is ok. We ordered chips and queso.. the chips were very chiclosas and not crunchy at all. Queso was cold. The queso fundido with chirizo. Tasted very good. Good portion size with plenty of corn tortillas. I ordered the beef flautas ahogadas with both green and red sauce.. i was not impressed. Flavor was dull and nothing extraordinary for a 14 dollar plate. I had the paloma cocktail and the presentation was excellent, but the flavor was nothing extraordinary as well. Came here for breakfast one morning and no servers came to my table for 20 minutes so I left. I decided to come back the next day, I was able to get my order in the the omelette was greasy and the coffee was not regular coffee it was a caramel flavored even tho I had it black. My husband and I went for brunch and food was good my veggie crepe top with poblano crème was definitely better than his huevos rancheros, they needed more flavor. We would of enjoy our brunch more if it wasn't because they had the music super loud. For an indoor small place it was waaay to loud we ate fast just because of it. We were a party of ten and ordered a wide selection of the menu, from bow tie pasta to the carnitas and nachos. The palomas were popular and came in mugs that reminded me of Winnie the Pooh honey jars. Mojitos were also a favorite. The ribeye was prepared well, the carnitas pork was a little dry and came with this salsa that needs a biohazard warning label: "burns like napalm...I wish my insides could cool down". Overall very disappointing. A group of three people had lunch here. On person ordered the chili colorado. It was a very deep dark red/ brown. Turns out it was the mole chicken. They did offer to correct the error but my friend thought it was pretty good. I ordered the carnitas and they were a major disappointment. The serving was 2 large chunks of meat. The problem was that they were dry with no crispy bits. I've had better from any number of meat markets. The corn tortilla were thin , tasted store bought, and fell apart as you unwrapped the foil they were steaming in. As others have noted, this place is pricey for lunch. Yes! The food is delicious!! No joke! But the prices.. ouch! Before deciding on the shrimp tacos, I asked the server how many came in an order, he said 4. The reason I asked, bc an order is $18. Turns out, it was only 3. Okay, so now he knows, not a big deal, but 3 shrimp tacos for 18 bucks.. they're good, but not that good, skip. I don't write a lot of reviews. After one sip of the Paloma I knew I was going to write one for this place. Then we got our food and I knew I had to take some time to write a long one. We came with a large group on Friday night. The place was full, but never felt overly loud or hectic. Everything was so good that we all kept passing our drinks and food around the table so everyone could try everything. My cousin and aunt got a Pina colada and mojito and those were both really good too. That Paloma though is my new addiction. Then there's the food. The chips and salsa were next level. The chips are made in house and that salsa was HOT in a good, flavorful, way. My husband is from ABQ and was in love with it. They need to jar that stuff and sell it. The chili rellenos appetizer was amazing. Wonderful flavor, and a crispy outside that wasn't over-battered or soggy like some places get. My cousin got the elote and really enjoyed it. We ordered a cheeseburger and French fries for the kids and they sat happily chowing it down. Then our entrees came. My husband got the chicken tacos and was very pleased, especially loading them with that salsa. My cousin got the shrimp tacos and my dad the caldo de pollo. I tried them all and they were all very good, and we were impressed. Then there was my meal. The suiza enchiladas. Mine was by far the best. Every bite caught my attention and there was no mindless eating here. It was creamy, a little spicy, and so, so, flavorful. It came with rice and some corn which was a nice touch. But I could live off that meal for the rest of my life and never get bored of it. Do yourself a favor and get it. You will not regret it. We got dessert, the brownie and ice cream, which was good. It's hard to mess up a warm brownie with ice cream. But the cheesecake. Oh my gosh. Not too sweet, and just the perfect density. The hard part was remembering to get photos before it all got devoured. On top of all that, the bathroom was spotless, and had a nice changing table in it. There's lovely little touches everywhere. And the coffee!! Who would have guessed that a regular cup of joe could be memorable?? I'm not in El Paso often, but I will go out of my way to get this food again. read more
