Came here with a small group of friends a little over an hour before closing. there were people at the bar and a couple people at tables. the two employees stood at the front talking and ignored us when we walked in. Unfortunately for me, I had the audacity to say smile and say hi and ask if it was okay if we sit at the bar and maybe order some cocktails and guacamole and chips..and they motioned us towards the bar. ok... whatever thanks for the warm welcome. we sit down at the bar and finally the bartender decided to stop chatting with a coworker and stomps towards us. 'we're closing in an hour' . LOL...! The service was really good but the food was so bad and had no flavor. It was also really cold by the time we had gotten it. This place is way too overpriced as well. Mixed feelings here. We were a party of five and were treating a friend for her birthday. The friend's plate was dry. The rest of us either had an amazing plate or got a plate that we could have ended up with anywhere else. We were there on a weekend early evening so a little chaos was expected but our server was either stretched a little too thin that night or just absent a lot. The churro dessert plates were fabulous. Sadly when it came time to shore-up the check, the server read the ticket out loud and now our friend, our guest, is feeling bad about our bill total. We were hesitant to stop in because of some poor reviews, but we decided to give it a try since we are rarely ever in the west valley. We sat at the bar and had the best service from Maria and Samantha. We were encouraged to give some tequila infused jalapeños a try! They pack quite a punch! We had a super fun lunch and the food was yummy! Husband had the Suiza enchiladas and I had the tacos! Drinks were amazing. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes with multiple servers that passed us, but did not acknowledge us or ask if we've been helped. We were looking forward to the culinary experience at this new restaurant, but were instead disappointed by the service and don't plan on returning. Flies .... everywhere.. probably because they have an open patio bar area that faces the outside patio... but still, we sat in a booth towards the back and it too many flies inside. The taste... rice was salty, beans were ok but thought it was supposed to have "chorizo" in it, didn't taste that. Chips were burnt and very oily. Salsa was ok. She gave us a "hotter" salsa but it wasn't, it was watery. Tacos were ok but nothing special. I had better tacos at Top Golf- Trust me! I know it's crazy to say that! LOL 4. Doesn't help that she got my order wrong and it took a min for any service when we first sat down. I still ate it even though it was wrong.. I hate to return food.. such a waste. We ordered the enchiladas suizas 100%, suadero-brisket & tinga & pastor tacos 100% and the carne asada plate 100% ALL DELICIOUS! Oh almost forgot the best chips and salsa too. Tried BQ for the first time. Unfortunately disappointed. We needed a magnifying glass to see our food, lol... We had three (tiny) tacos, 4oz Margarita! The food is VERY VERY bland did not meet our expectations at all not to mention they had no blended margaritas it being a Mexican restaurant you'd think they would have that right?! I ordered the Mexican street corn as an appetizer it was delicious. For dinner we ordered a steak ranchero and carne asada. The steak seemed bland no flavoring what so ever and the salsa on top of it was just basically tomato sauce the only thing that gave my food flavor was jalapeño stuffed with cheese that I took off my husbands carne asada. 9/10 would not recommend this restaurant you would be better off eating at Manuel's or Garcia's for authentic Mexican style food and you'd have a variety of alcoholic drinks. For dessert we got the Donitas (basically donuts) with sweet cream and abuelitas hot chocolate sauce. Basically dough not cooked all the way through ate one and didn't eat anymore. This place is way over priced for the quality of the food ! We ordered cochinita flautas and birria enchiladas and they both tasted the same(not good) . I was very disappointed because I've been looking for a spot that sold good cochinita that would remind me of home .. this place was NOT IT! . The food was not authentic at all . The portions were small. Most of the plates were just filled with Cabbage and pico de gallo or water down black beans to fill in the extra space on the plate. First, they stated they had about a 20 minute wait time. We waited outside for 30+ minutes, when we went in they said they had already called and texted us that our table was ready. Although we didn't receive anything they did seat us right away. Then we sat at our table for an additional 20 minutes before someone came to our table. Our appetizer came quickly once we were able to order, but the food was subpar to say the least, especially for the price. I know that the price is more than the people of Goodyear and Avondale are used to - but we really don't have food that's the caliber of this restaurant in this little town. They did honor the happy hour menu though. Now to the food. Nothing to write home about. I mean , if there were any condiments or even salt and pepper it would have added much needed flavor. I get it that they don't just cater to people used to eating Mexican food most of the time,but have an option for Spivey vs non spicy. So today was our first time trying this place out, it's been a place we've wanted to try since they opened. We looked forward to their outdoor seating because we currently don't eat indoors so we were excited. (((Deep breath))) So we get there and ask for seating outside and was told it could be a 30 min wait note: it was almost all empty but one table with a group of 4 and a dirty table that needed to be cleaned. ( I could see this from suiting outside as I waiting. So we get seated and the hostess was super nice she got us our waters and even came back to make our guacamole. Our waitress was nice she took our order and came back with 1/2 our meal and no silverware or napkins. My fiancé went to the side door to ask for flatware and napkins and the waitstaff was in a full on argument so he just came back. When our waitress came we asked her for silverware and napkins. She brings us silverware and bar mini napkins ‍ I then proceeded to tell her that we didn't get our full order but that the wait has been too long and we are no longer interested in the rest. I know this isn't her fault it's the kitchens fault. She was super nice and removed the items from our check. At this point I'm not sure I will be going back at least not anytime soon. read more

Will never again visit this establishment!!! We found a piece of stainless steel scrubbing pad, in my 8 year old sons burrito. Thankfully my husband was the one who bit into it and not our son who could've swallowed this piece of steel. Once we advised the manager my husband was not rude about it and let her know ahead he's not trying to make a big deal and be loud. We let them know how disgusted we were, the manager just said I'm so sorry ( I'll see what I can do ) never have I ever gone to a restaurant that was so unprofessional and did not give a damn. She said she would take the burrito off and give us a $60 discount off our food. We still paid 70$ for our food and my husband threw up.
