Need new management! What use to be a great fast food restaurant has fallen short. I most always get coffee as my beverage but the last three times it's been barely warm. The last two times the door has been locked so have to walk around the other just to enter. The last Tuesday I was there and I ordered bean and cheese burrito and it had very little beans and cheese. I got a coke this time and the cone machine was out of order. The cold water faucet I. The restroom was missing and no paper towels to dry off my hands. I don't blame the employees cause they were very apologetic and sympathetic. It is the management responsibility to oversee all these problems and to train the employees on what to do. I will start with why this was a four star. The drive-thru agent had the quietest & softest voice. We had to turn off our car to even attempt to hear what he said. And when we tried to explain it to the person that was helping at the drive-thru window, we just heard a bunch of excuses. Just speak louder!! We had the Carne Asada burrito, which was really good. And the mini chimichangas, which were great, especially with their spicy salsa. They just needed a bit more crisp on the breading, as they were a bit too soft. BEWARE_ SOMEBURROS- VERRADO- After 80 minutes and no food (despite asking for help at 45 minutes), we were insulted by the cook in the kitchen, who, instead of apologizing, yelled across the counter in front of all those waiting to order, "Well, you know we're really busy." I said, "Hey, everyone before and after us has their food. You clearly forgot our food, and apparently you haven't even made it either." She replied, "Well, we're doing the best we can." Apparently taking the cue from the middle-aged cook, two of the young counter staff chimed in, "Yeah, we're doing the best we can." Then the manager, Lola, intervened and apologized for the "unacceptable and unprofessional manner of the cook." She asked what we wanted, and I said, "I really just wanted my food.... (Showed her our order ticket with the time stamp) and said, "but now I just want a refund, and your staff needs a lesson in customer service." She promptly refunded us and apologized again for her staff. We won't ever go back. I'm for supporting local businesses, but there is nothing worth waiting 80 minutes for on their menu. If the owner is reading this, you have too much competition in the area to allow your staff to push their mistakes onto the customers. I had the carne asada plate. Overall, the food was okay, but it didn't feel like authentic carne asada. I was expecting savory, slightly tangy beef with a good char and a nice crust on the outside. I really like this place, especially for quick, simple lunches for the kids. The first time I came, I was genuinely impressed -- the bean and cheese burritos were great, with the perfect tortilla-to-filling ratio. Unfortunately, that consistency hasn't lasted. Lately, the burritos have gotten smaller, and now there's way more tortilla than filling. I ordered an asada burrito for $10 and was really disappointed -- barely any meat inside, definitely not worth the price. We used to love the quesadillas too, but now you have to ask for extra cheese just to get what used to be standard. I don't know if management is telling the kitchen to cut corners, but if this keeps up, you're going to lose loyal customers. Someburros was ok for "Mexican" food. I loved the decor and the aesthetic but some of their food left much to be desired. We tried a veggie burrito which was quite small and mostly consisted of beans. We also tried the quesadilla with green chiles which was sooooo good! Also, we loved their hard shell shredded beef tacos. We loved the fact that each person was given a small order of chips to accompany their yummy salsa. My husband and I eat at Rosies Tacos every Tuesday but decided to try the food here to see if their combos or burritos were worth alternating every other week. Sadly, that won't be happening any time soon. I judge most Mexican restaurants by their carnitas, so I tried the limited carnitas burrito. The first bite was super salty, and by the third bite, the burrito was overwhelmed by too much lime. I tried dismantling it to save the individual components, but, alas, couldn't eat more than four bites in total. My husband's chicken taco and chicken enchilada combo was also subpar. The brownish enchilada sauce was visually unappealing, and its flavor was surprisingly tasteless. The taco shell was overcooked, and the chicken was dry. Ultimately, we both threw out the food in dismay. Maybe things will improve with time since the restaurant just opened, but we'll need to see dozens more rave reviews before venturing there in the future. Really disappointing. read more

Review: Chips, Guac, & Crispy Beef-Potato Taco Experience So... we tried the chips and guacamole, and the crispy beef-and-potato taco. Let me break it down like a food detective. First up: the guacamole. Listen, I love avocados, but this guac came out looking like it was in the witness protection program no lime, no salt, no flavor. It was giving... "Hi, I'm mashed avocado, nice to meet you" instead of guacamole. If the chips had been salty, maybe they could've rescued it, but nope the chips showed up bland too. It was like watching two weak superheroes try to save the world. Then came the taco. Whew. That beef and potato combo... tasted like it had been through something. Like it had seen some things it wasn't ready to talk about. The flavor wasn't fresh, the potatoes weren't poppin', and the beef had no business being that tired. Honestly, it tasted old like leftovers from last week's potluck that got reheated and said, "Fine, I'll try one more time." Overall: Bland guac, sleepy chips, and a taco that needs therapy. Two bacon, egg, potato and cheese burritos. Sorry no photos. That's what we got at 7:30 am this morning at the drive-thru. Unfortunately, only drive-thru from 7 to 9. We were warmly greeted by Andrew who was very polite and helpful. It looked like he actually liked his job and he has very good people skills. Now for our review of the burritos. First look review: Our view as we removed the foil from half of the warm burrito was that the flour tortilla looked perfect. It was hot and pliable. The burrito was tightly wrapped with no broken tortilla areas. First bite review: Delicious. All ingredients were in the first bite. Tortilla, egg, cheese, potato and bacon. We later added the tasty salsa that Andrew put inside our bag. Overall, these burritos were excellent! All ingredients were in every bite until the last.
