I was out and about decided I wanted some tacos. I was near Tacos La K'lera and I smelled something good and went right in knowing it had to be coming from there. I was greeted upon entering and walked up to order, Once ordered the cook started my order right away and it was nice to see him cook on the grill. The smell and the taste were equal. It was clean inside. We were almost the only people there at lunch. Ordered a fish taco & a open taco. We watched the owners loading food supplies from trunk into restaurant & still went in. I knew we should've left based on the no customers part but I was really hungry. It was about $11.00 plus tax and both were tossed into trash less than a third eaten. No flavor, strips of al pastor (tasted like a seasoning packet from a tienda) were underseasoned & dry. The fish taco was so covered in sauce to hide the teeny fish chunk that tasted like tilapia. I do dig local restaurants but you gotta put more love into your meats! read more

This is a local restaurant in T Town & I was very excited to try it. We went in for an early dinner on a Friday. The service for the food was SLOW. My fear is that if it's busy (& it wasn't) that could be an issue. My husband had the K'lera burrito & it was so big he took it to work for lunch the next day & that's really saying something about the girth of that big boy. I had the al pastor & carne asada tacos. I thought both of mine were very greasy however it's Mexican so some is to be expected. The flavor of both meats was really good. We also shared the Jalapeno Bites with carne asada. Now those were something to write home about for real. They even had a cheese skirt IYKYK but it's what you get when you order a cheese burger from a diner. Crispy cheesy goodness. We really really enjoyed them. The young man at the register asked if wanted tortillas for the jalapeno bites & we said nah. Of course once they got to the table I understood the thought there & will get them next time. I'm looking forward to another trip to get the fish tacos & one of the flights. Stay tuned. read more

I've given this place plenty of chances. I don't think I'll ever be going again. They're always messing up my orders. One time they give me an extra small burrito and another time I was given a burrito with no meat. Hands down Best tacos in the area !! We live in Mesa and we drive 45 mins to go eat there. They have chicken, asada and pastor... and you won't get a regular taco after trying the jalapeño bites, they're the BEST thing on the menu if you ask me!! The staff is friendly, they're quick! My husband and I wanted tacos one day after moving back to Avondale. Everyone else closed super early and we showed up late to check this place out and not only are they super kind here but they have some of the best tasting tacos I've had. I'm very picky when it comes to Al pastor and there tacos I'll have to say they're some of the best I've had in a long time. They are perfectly balanced with flavor and loaded up with so much meat, as someone who counts there protein intake this place definitely helps hit the protein goal. I'm a be honest with you I grew up in Los Angeles and just moved out here recently and what's unfortunate about this taco place is the fact that they're charging you twice as much as much as any other Taquero and they're giving you the smallest amounts of food that people aren't going to get full on. When you serve a quesadilla for $10 you should make that quesadilla at least for two people, you guys serve that quesadilla on a regular home tortilla and it was just not worth the money. You're charging prices that benefit you and at the end of the day are not benefiting the people who come to you and provide you the ability to give food. I get things are a little expensive for everybody but at the end of the day you have to make sure your customers are full and that you're providing them a good amount of food for the amount of money your charging. I paid $27 for 4 tacos and a little ass quesadilla. You guys are charging way beyond what prices should be like three dollars a taco, that's way too much for a taco and at the end of the day like I said a quesadilla for $10 and you're making it with a little ass home tortilla that I would get from frys. . It was a disappointment and I will not be going back like I said if you're going to charge top dollar for your food make sure that the people are leaving with full stomachs. Coming from a taco buyer from Los Angeles where a taco truck was every hundred feet and they would put you guys to shame. read more
