Well I found the next salon Tabatha needs to take over! This place is beyond cooked. The receptionist was trash entirely rude, and patronizing. I went out of my way to keep a level head and be kind despite the absurdity. It was like being on the line Verizon wasn't comprehending basic logic. So I remained calm and asked to speak to the manager or the owner, which I thought they would be embarrassed that anyone at their would act in such a way, so I'm not sure how it's possible but, the owner was actually worse. They are on class pass therefore had all of my information including my credit card on file and then asked for my credit card on top of it, which goes completely against class, pass rules. I'm "I've been in business for so many more years than class pass" very rudely mind you! Screaming at me and telling me that they said their own policies. I just found the whole thing odd like why are you even on class pass then? they were both rude the whole time, this was a play to double charge me. I wanted to think it was just a problem with their system as they had suggested, but the whole thing was fraudulent. It gave bad vibes if you're thinking of booking here don't walk away, RUN!! I went out of my way to be kind and reasonable. NO Business has ever done that in the entire time I've been on class pass, because your credit cards already attached through the app and it tells you exactly how much you're gonna be charged if you missed the class and in this case it would have been the full amount of the service. Which I was fine with. I also verified the amount of the service so that I knew how much to tip in the first place. There's clearly a reason why their score is so low. I have never been disrespected like this at a salon point blank period before even setting foot in the salon. I thought Los Angeles was bougie, but I've never been mistreated in LA salon I tried to make sense of this with them, assuming would be reasonable people, but the response I got from them was in both infuriating and comical. I'm like it's a pass for me and he's like spend your money with someone else then and I'm like absolutely I would never spend a dime with you absolutely not. And I recommend that no one does. I requested bright blonde highlights with no yellow and some of my naturally dark hair peeking through.. What I got was an overall hair color that doesn't look like highlights. I went back and they tried again but it still looks like an overall yellowy color with none of my dark showing through. So disappointed. I live in Florida, and had my hair done and was horrified by how the lady colored my hair. Then the latest hurricane hit (I live on the west coast) was given emergency evacuation orders and could not get into another salon to have my hair fixed. I knew I was coming up to Atlanta for a concert so I booked an appointment with Theresa. She saved me! She did an amazing job. I could not be happier. I loved her so much and the job she did, that I am driving the 7 hours ut takes to have her do my hair again in November! Highly recommend. If I could give less than a 1 rating I would. I have had the same hair dresser for 20 yrs and have had the same beautiful auburn color with caramel highlights but she retired. I was scared to have someone new do my hair because I have had some bad hair experiences. It's why I chose a high end salon. I have never had my hair at this type of place. I had my hair done by David the store owner himself. I showed him 3 pictures of what I wanted. He was very stoic during the visit but that's not a big deal. He never said doing the color was a problem. In the lighting of the salon the hair color wasn't what I had asked for at all and no caramel highlights, but I thought I would be adventurous. I got home and my husband was horrified. In the sunlight my hair looked a purplish burgundy. I cried and cried and the next day went to Sallies Beauty to color it a brown color. I called the salon the next day they were open. I was requesting a refund minus the haircut/style. I explained everything to David and he could not have been more rude. He said that people come to high end salons to get their hair done and then want refund. He said it was the policy to not refund customers. There is no such policy on the website. I was too scared to let him repair my hair as they would subject it to more permanent dye. He would not let me talk and treated me more like the hired help rather than a customer. He never apologized or offered anything other than redoing it. He was arrogant and hostile. I might of considered letting him redo it, but the color was so horrible, and he was so unbelievably rude, that I was too afraid. He knew that I am a medical professional and can't go to work with crazy hair color. A friend of mine and I made an appointment with Barron's of London. My friend called Barrons to ask some questions about the person who was to cut my hair and the girl who answered the phone and David were extremely rude to her. I called them after my friends conversation with them, and when they answered I told her I would like to cancel my appointment. She didnt ask me my name, she immediately said you must be so and so, I said yes, she then said I have already canceled your appointment. ( Without ever talking to me.) She then hung up on me while I was talking. I called her back about the deposit since THEY canceled my appointment. She told me they were non refundable and would talk to David. I booked a full highlight service, when I got there, she told me I was getting a bleach and tone (Theresa) I have worked in the hair industry for a long time and I knew that a bleach and tone was the easy way out for her instead of highlighting me with 100 foils. I told her at my old salon, Van Michael, they foiled me. My hair turned out YELLOW, she refused to use Olaplex or any bond rebuilder. I LOST SO MUCH HAIR and had a "chemical cut" due to her overlapping. The best part was, I was quoted $160 over the phone, ended up paying well over $250 for my hair to be fried DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. And all the staff talks so badly about their owner, David! The culture of the salon management here is just NASTY. They TOLD me to buy a groupon when I called to make sure they would accept it; then they pulled a bait and switch a week later- the night before my appointment- saying they would not honor the groupon after all; they took no responsibility for their own mistake. They claimed it was their employees error but expected the customer to suffer for THEIR mistake and they were very unkind in how they spoke to me which of course was very upsetting. I would have never bought the groupon if they had not told me to when they scheduled me. Robin the manager is extremely rude and has NO kindness or communication skills. Teresa performed a keratin treatment on my hair to provide smoothing and some straightening. I was open to a more expensive procedure, CHI straightening. Teresa gave me honest advice, based on the condition of my hair that the keratin treatment was more appropriate. I am very pleased with the results, and I found her to be a delightful conversationalist, very thorough and efficient. She is on time and stays on schedule. I had a previous keratin treatment that has a little affect, and the hair specialist was hurried and my investment was worth nothing. I highly recommend this salon and Teresa in particular. Hair like plastic surgery is a long term investment and not one for bargain hunting and coupon clipping in the end. You may pay permanent consequences and spend even more because you need a second treatment by someone who knows what they are doing. I rank them a 10 out of 10. read more

I give this salon 2-stars for lack of honesty. When I went in for my consultation, I was told I would need 9 bundles of hair. Each bundle comes in a set of 25. After paying almost $1000 for the hair, only 7 bundles were ordered. 7 x 25 = 175 pieces. When my hair was done only 65 pieces were used. When I asked for my remaining hair, only 63.5 pieces were available. That leaves 46.5 pieces missing from the pack of seven that was ordered despite me paying for 9. read more

They call me a week or so after each visit ''just to see if I'm happy with my services." Very few companies offer customer service on this level, and I love it! Although the cost for keratin at Barrons is extremely competitive, keratin treatments are a little pricey in general, so I gave it a lot of thought and did my research before investing $250 in a hair treatment. They told me it would strengthen and smooth my naturally curly, mostly frizzy, color-processed, shoulder length hair. They told me it would last 16 weeks. They told me it would make my hair unbelievably shiny and smooth, and seal in my color, making it less prone to fading. They told me it was quick and easy. They weren't exaggerating. Read my next statement carefully: It changed my life. No more tangled ends. Shorter drying time. BRILLIANT shine. Swingy, bouncy, hair-commercial hair. It made my natural curl (which I like) BEAUTIFUL and not frizzy when I air- dried and finger combed. When I blow dry and use an iron or heated rollers, it's actually pleasant to do my hair, and my hair holds the style for days. The staff are fun and they treat me like I'm their most important client. They all seem to be very happy to be there. Brooke is my preferred stylist, but I would be happy to have anyone else at Barron's do my hair. They really do work as a team there, and they seem to genuinely enjoy each other. Yesterday I had a single process color, a cut and another Cocoa keratin treatment. All in the same day. In under 3 hours. I like these people very much, but I LOVE what they do to my hair. I'm a pretty low maintenance gal, and I watch the pennies, but the money I spend at Barron's London Salon is money well spent and absolutely a great value. My advice is to do your homework on keratin treatments and ask questions before you invest in one. But you won't be disappointed in the results, and you won't find a more professional result, more knowledgeable stylists, better value or more luxurious experience anywhere in Atlanta. read more

Okay first off, I am one to usually let things slide. I NEVER write reviews. In fact this is my first one. But so many things went wrong during the appointment that I don't want anyone else making the same mistake as I did by coming here. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I have dark brown hair and I had an appointment with David to lighten it to platinum blonde. During our consultation, he gave me a quote around 400-500 which I was okay with. He insisted he could do it in one day (this should've been my first red flag). I came in during our scheduled appointment and he bleached and washed my hair five times in the span of one day. He had to keep trying to figure out how to bleach my hair without it burning my scalp off, claiming he didn't realize how sensitive my scalp was. Considering the consultation was $50, this could have easily been discussed then. It would have saved two rounds of bleaching attempts before washing it out because of how badly it stung my scalp. Then, because of all the wasted attempts, we ran out of time and I was told to come back in the next day. Not only was the charge for this day $635, I would have to spend an additional $135 tomorrow because he messed up on bleaching my hair!!! Ridiculous. I paid $850 total!!! I went home and cried because my hair was so fried. It felt and looked like straw. Then, not even two weeks later (it's only been ten days since this incident), I realized how much breakage there was in my hair. The back of head has literal chunks of hair missing. Not to mention my roots are brassy and the platinum literally lost its color after a few days. My hair turned yellow and purple shampoo only helped a little bit. When I asked if I needed to buy purple shampoo, David said no. Thank god I went ahead and bought it anyway. I have NEVER been more disappointed in a hair salon. I gave them a call regarding my disappointment in how they handled my hair and asked for a refund. The call I got back was not only condescending, but it was dismissive of my concerns as well. They told me in order to even be considered for a refund, I'd have to go back in to get my hair looked at. Okay fine. So I go in and pretty much the entire time David was insinuating that I had somehow done something to my hair that made it fall out. I told him I'd slept on a silk pillowcase, rarely washed my hair, didn't brush it when wet, used olaplex, etc. I followed all the rules. He still continued to make it seem like my fault. He also said he would reimburse me $165, that he was supposed to send it out last Friday and I was to receive it on Monday. That was three days ago, and I still have not received the check. I am so disappointed in this salon. Not only did they ruin my hair, they did not return the $165 they said they would (which in hindsight is nothing, considering I paid $850.) I went to another salon and the lady told me my hair was breaking off and nothing could be done (to be clear it was just a consultation and the lady didn't do anything to my hair.) I am now having to go through deep conditioning treatments (olaplex costed me $200) in hopes of even remotely restoring my hair to a fraction of what it used to be. I am still reeling in shock at how I was charged almost a THOUSAND dollars for damaged hair. I am so disappointed in BLS. I hope you take this review seriously and SAVE YOUR MONEY GO ELSEWHERE!! This is absolutely ridiculous. Oh and not to mention, on top of this, David the owner made extremely inappropriate sexual comments to me the entire time during my appointment. He said word for word "your breasts are perky" and that I have "kissable lips" just to mention a few. I could not be any more disgusted with this man and his business. The only people who deserve a five star are his assistants. They patiently washed and rewashed my hair due to all the unnecessary bleaching, and didn't make me feel like I was the one at fault. Only giving one star because I have to. Highlights took 3x as long as they normally do due to major roots being shown. The highlights were not placed tightly on my head and I left the salon with about 1 inch of root showing. The stylist had to add in more highlights because she left the top of my head pretty bare in comparison to the rest of my hair. Then once it was complete and after waiting 5 hours+, the color was nothing like I requested. I wanted to go darker for winter and somehow left with blonder hair which was not even the correct tone I requested. I called and they had me come in the next day to fix it and nothing was really fixed to be honest. I still left with roots showing and a few lowlights to break up the blonde. I was also charged an additional $60 for a toner when I was initially quoted $40 which should have been offered the first day if they couldn't achieve the tone. I was exhausted after wasting so much time going into the salon, getting my hair done, re done the same day, went in the next day and the outcome was not what I requested to begin with. I will not be going back in for future services. My time was wasted and so was my money. Very disappointing experience! read more

Went in for a consult for hair extensions and was told I needed to purchase 2 bundles of hair. I explained that I had extensions for over 10 years and never needed more than 1 bundle but they insisted I order 2 bundles. Sure enough, less than a bundle was put in and Visal assured me he would hold on to my unused hair and use it next time. I was told these extensions would last about 10-12 weeks. They started falling out after 6 weeks. I called to schedule my next appointment to have the 2nd bundle put in and was told I needed to purchase 2 more bundles of hair. I explained that Visal already has my hair and was told someone would get back to me. I did receive a call stating all my hair was used and I needed to purchase more. I told them that was wrong and they needed to go back and talk to Visal again. That was last week and no one has gotten back to me. It took me writing a negative review before the owner reached out but I am being told the same thing. My 2nd extension bundle is missing and they are trying to tell me it was put in. Again, I have had extensions for over 10 years. My hair is very fine and NEVER have I used more than 1 bundle. It feels like this salon is a rip off read more

I was an established client with Hailey. She was no longer available to color hair due to a reaction she was having handling the dye. I was automatically booked with another stylist without my initial consent. When my confirmation request came to my email I called and questioned them about the new stylist( Brittany). They explained that she was an experienced stylist but not as much as Hailey. I agreed thinking that this was a reputable salon and that they would not have inexperienced stylists. I usually pay between $175-$200+ for color, framing foil highlights and a trim. The new and obviously inexperienced stylist had to ask someone else how to complete the coloring process. Then when she started trimming my hair she was not sure how to attempt to trim my bangs. Twice another stylist came over to show her how to complete this task. At this point I was becoming quite upset. She finished the trim, blunt cut the back unlike the picture I showed her which now looks like my sides are longer than the back on my hair. When she started to dry my hair she burnt my scalp. At this point I told her to stop and I just wanted to leave. As I was approaching the front desk the owner's wife, Kim, says to me "Janet, Lets talk". I explained my experience was completely not what I expected, that I had already been there 2 1/2 hours for only a base root color and a trim. After explaining my experience she became rude and unprofessional telling me that I agreed to see this stylist and that is pretty much was my problem. I tried to explain that this girls lack of confidence in coloring and cutting was an indication of her lack of experience. The stylist told me she came to the salon just 6 months ago after receiving her license through an Aveda school. I was appalled by the behavior and tone of voice of the owners wife and was still asked to pay for the coloring portion of which I hesitantly complied. RYAN SAVED MY HAIR! I had a horrible bleach incident last January where the stylist completely ruined my long luscious thick hair and 10 inches were cut off, the dry and damaged brittle hair was unrecognizable. It took a solid year of very expensive hair products (Kerastase) to rebuild my hair. I am terrified of going to someone new for this reason but my roots were out of control! Found Barron's on google, and I had a consult with Ryan. I could tell immediately he knew what he was talking about. He did a full color correct since my hair was now 50 shades of YELLOW (barf). I told him my hair history and he assured me this wouldn't further damage my hair. I told him I hate yellow I love bright blonde. Peep pictures for before and after. I went to Barron Londons for a color correction and David and his team were amazing! Made a game plan about what I wanted to fix and made it happen. Even from our talk about what he would do with my hair I could tell he knew what he was doing 100000X more than the cheap job I got before I came. I wish I came the first time around! I even had a time constraint and had to leave halfway through the process to deal with something at work but David was so flexible in fitting me in no matter what. I had such a great day there, the studio is clean, sunny and open and has a lot of great products. I get the feeling that they make every customer feel like priority. Just came back from my appointment where I went in for a $25 blowout and walked out with an $85 bill! I mentioned I was in a wedding and i wanted a blowout and a bang trim. David was super nice and said he'd make me look great. An hour later I'm under a dryer with curlers in my hair wondering how I got there. Okay fine I'm in a wedding and he's got great reviews... He pinned my curls so they'd stay longer. Well, they didnt last a minute after I took them out. And I was upsold without being told the price.
