You got kids working here however they are great. They are honest if a mess up has happened and try to resolve the issue. I bought a couple of pizzas and overheard the employee telling a guest that their order fell through. He apologized left and right and gave them a credit and a free pizza for the night. I never had an issue with bad food. Something they can work at and that's why I gave the four star. Not the best at customer service which goes a long way for a tip. The place could be cleaner as well, seems like even on slow nights it's a mess. The tables and it smells funky. . read more

Overall disappointing but let's start with the high point. My delivery order arrived sooner than the 60 minutes quoted. Unfortunately it goes downhill from there. The meat combo pizza was so greasy it soaked thru the box and the "thin" crust was soggy and limp. The slice I tried was barely edible and the rest went in the bin. The cookie sundae was adequate but the accompanying vanilla ice cream serving was barely 1 scoop when it is depicted on the website as 2 scoops. I can only say this location needs to get their act together! I'm used to the Barro's in Ahwatukee and chandler needs some lessons from them. I only hope I don't get food poisoning like a previous customer but I'm already getting a stomach ache 30 minutes afterward. I will not patronize this restaurant again! read more

This is by far the WORST barros pizza i have ever been to. The whole place was disgusting, food still on tables when nobody was even sitting there greasy disgusting table number, Random wrappers on the ground, Who knows what else there could've been!!!! I was looking to only be there for 15min max hence there was nobody in line and the cashiers were all standing around talking but no, I only got 12 boneless wings to go and it took 30 minutes for me to get them!! read more

They load their pizza up with WAY too much sauce and very little cheese. It was like eating a bread and sauce pizza. Crust is too thick. Too much dough to topping ratio. There's much better pizza places around here. I don't recommend. read more

This pizza restaurant has been around a long time. I think a lot of people in this area of town knows this pizza place. I find that the crust tends to be soft rather than crispy. I think some people like a soft, thick bread rather than a thin crispy bread. The cheese is glommed together and forms a layer over the top of the pizza. Sometimes there is too much tomato sauce on the pizza and the cheese can be lifted entirely away from the pizza. Occasionally the tomato sauce reaches all the way to the edge of the crust. People who like a lot of tomato sauce might like this style of pizza. I feel that they don't usually put a lot of toppings on the pizza when you choose a specific topping item. However, this is typical of pizza restaurants, where they don't add a lot of your chosen topping to your pizza necessarily. Overall, it is a very standard pizza. Although, I do like that they don't have burnt parts on the bottom of the crust. read more

We recently relocated to the area and got some value packs in the mail and we're going to throw everything away, and decided to look at the randoms coupons and we love pizza so how can you pass up and entire free one topping Pizza? So we got a pepperoni pizza and added chicken for 1.50$ extra! We also got a side of the garlic loaf bread, about 3 pieces in each loaf. We paid about 4$ for all of that. The prices for a normal large pizza is still REALLY good prices. The pizza was freaking bomb, the bottom crust taste just like pizza huts crust use to taste! Which I love. The garlic bread was soooooo good. I am a high consumer of garlic bread, (so I know good G bread when I eat it). We will definitely be back for more! read more

Barro's Pizza has THE BEST pizza in Arizona! We love their pizza and boneless wings. We ordered online on our way back from a day out shooting and fishing. Can't complain about the wait during pick up because great things come to those who wait. Pizza for dinner always hits the spot but Barro's is especially satisfying. This happens to be the closest location to me and every single time I order I end up waiting longer than I'd wait at another restaurant (even if it's just a sandwich!). There are maybe 4 other tables in here currently so I fail to see why it's taking them longer than 45 minutes to bring me my food. I won't be coming back to this location. The service is laughably slow and it's a much better use of my time to just drive to another location even if it's further away. I don't recommend coming here if you are expecting a quick piece of pizza and a beer. Staff doesn't care and apparently neither does the kitchen. read more

We were told that they came to our apartment but were told it was incorrect. Instead of calling to get the accurate address they just brought the pizza back and didn't bother to call. I ordered a large veggie salad online and picked it up on my way home from work. At the time, I didn't even think to check the order. After I got home and opened the bag, I discovered there was only a small garden salad inside. I had been prepared to leave a negative review, but decided to stop back in the day and explain my situation to the manager. Kendra, the manager, apologized for the mistake and offered to refund the full amount or remake my order. To ease the process of a refund, I chose the latter. The salad was prepared immediately and I was on my in less than 5 minutes. I have worked in Customer service for more than 10 years and I must say that I am in awe of the courtesy and professionalism shown here. Thank you, Kendra and Barro's staff. If i could give a zero i would. The first 2 times that I had an issue, I let it go, but after today, the third strike, that's it! The first 2 times we had forgotten orders, we were promised a credit that never happened, this time I asked for a refund and walked out empty handed. I ordered online and waited 20 minutes before going to pick up, when i got there, i checked in with the cashier, signed my receipt and was told "we are just waiting for breadsticks". I sat down, had a lovely conversation with other patrons, slowly all of them left. After 20 minutes, another worker asked me if I was waiting for an order, i said "yes, apparently waiting for breadsticks", she answered with that's all? and went in the back. Another worker came out 5 minutes later and asked me if i had pizza too, i said yes and i have now been waiting 20 minutes. She went in the back. Came back out and asked if it was delivery, i said, no i am picking it up, back to the back she went. When she came out again, she told me that the delivery person had taken my order out for delivery and that the original cashier had went home sick. I told her, i just saw her and she was still there, (as she came out of the back. ) I told the girl, I am done waiting as it had now been an hour since I ordered and since my food was not there, I was leaving. I informed her that this was the 3rd time this has happened to us and I would like a refund and I just didnt understand why pizza and breadsticks was such a hard concept to get right. I was in the restaurant so long my husband who was waiting i the car came in to see what was going on. I told him we were not getting lunch today. Possibly one of the worst serviced establishments I have visited in my life. Upon arrival we were greeted and had our order taken. The register attendant didn't even seem to know the menu, even though the display is right behind him as well, but possibly was new so that I overlook. Our order was taken and we waited 40 minutes just for 12 chicken wings (that came out cold). Note, we are the ONLY people sitting in the establishment. As another 25 minutes pass we still do not have our ONE SINGLE pizza pie that we ordered. Both were ordered at the same time. Employees began to walk by and clean and none cared to ask if we were waiting for something or anything (instead one tried to small talk after we told him we were waiting for our pizza and instead decided to tell us "Well I hope it comes out" as if the staff forgetting is an everyday thing). Finally we had to finally approach the register, just to find out our pizza wasn't started and was forgotten about. We were then fed some excuse that the "machine was out of printing paper, and they didn't think to refill it". So our order was forgotten about due to pure laziness it seems. As we were sitting other online or call ahead orders came in and out in minutes or even seconds, so leads me to believe the paper must've been filled otherwise how are these customers orders coming in? Even if it's called in, it goes into an electronic system that sends and prints the order in the back. Lastly we were given a full refund, no pizza and had to go up the road to another Barro's where they were shocked at this experience and took care of us to an extraordinarily kind amount. I just had my first meatball sub ever. This one set the bar pretty high. The bun was toasted to perfection, the meatballs were juicy and well seasoned, and there was just the right amount of cheese and marinara sauce. Yummy! My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. If his silence during the meal was any indicator he loved the meal and was too busy chewing to talk much. The location was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Barro's was one of the only places we felt comfortable ordering takeout and delivery from because they were being SO CAREFUL. Masks, gloves, contactless delivery, the whole works. When we stopped by last week to pick up an order, we were dismayed to see that they are no longer requiring masks of customers or employees. I will not eat at a restaurant that cooks and serves food to me, maskless, during a worldwide pandemic. I love their food and their friendly staff, but their careless attitude towards safety is taking this place off of our list. I ordered a simple 1 topping pizza and the promised time was 1:58pm (definitely not peak business hours), and I was waiting until 2:15 to get my pizza. If they would have said it would be ready in 45 minutes instead of 25 minutes, I wouldn't have minded. I definitely regret giving a tip before finding out I'll be waiting an extra 15-20 minutes longer than promised with absolutely no apologies from any of the staff. The pizza itself was great (which is what matters most), but they should try a little harder to stay on top of orders and be more courteous to their customers. read more

Really pleased that Barros has moved into my neighborhood. They closed down the other one on Alma School and moved here. I've dined inside and ordered take-out from them. The place is super nice and they even have a kids corner off to the side. We typically order large pizzas and wings from them. The crust is a bit bready for my taste. I've even ordered thin crust and felt it was still a bit bready as well. We usually order from them when we throw large parties and they are usually right on time as far as my take out orders.
