Unable to leave zero stars, so one will have to suffice. Ordered pickup last night and SPECIFIED a gluten allergy over the phone to the individual who took my order. Opened my salad, only to notice it looked picked through, to remove the croutons. Why wasn't this salad made fresh? Why was an individual's allergy plainly disregarded? Why advertise you're gluten-free? Why didn't a manager review the order? Whose fingers were in my food? Just another pizza joint...what a sad way to reduce your standards and prove you're not actually Gluten-free, as you advertise. read more

My 14 yr old daughter and I were excited to eat at the new location for Barros Pizza on Market Street. While eating her salad, she found a razor blade or a type of sharp metal blade in her food! I took it to the manager and he said it looks like it came from a piece of their machine and he knew what it was. He refunded the cost of the salad, but we just weren't comfortable eating the rest of our dinner, so we left. Its traumatizing and ruined my view on one of my favorite pizza chains. Who chops salad with a razor blade? Thinking about the harm it would have incur had she swallowed it, has me shooked up! read more

I went for lunch yesterday wearing my mask which is mandatory only to find the majority of the customers walking in where not wearing masks or asked to leave I asked a young lady isn't it mandatory in restaurants to have potential customers wear baskets in Gilbert she said yes and when I had mentioned how come you are serving people without masks there was no answer sorry but you will not see me there again since you have no desire to follow the law or protect those that are wearing masks shame on you Well went back again for lunch and still allowing people to enter without masks even though their is s nice sign that says mask up Arizona To them I guess money is more important than protecting those who abide by the law shame on you again location was Market Street in Gilbert read more

The food is good but I made a few observations while here. Touching your dirty, over used masks with your gloved hands defeats the purpose of the masks. Wearing the same gloves all day is worse than frequently washing your bare hands. Putting pizza boxes on the floor before you fold them is just nasty. Seriously, push back on the health Dept guidelines. read more

I love barros pizza but the way this barros does stuff drives me crazy. You have to ask for napkins and silverware and the front counter people do it but it seems to be bothersome to them. If you order 2 or more slices during lunch they stack them up on top of each other....this is the equivalent of a pizza delivery guy holding a pizza sideways and delivering it to your house. And it wasn't just one front counter person they all do it that way. Why??? Spread it out and if it's 3 slices put it on two plates. And last they don't spread the cheese out evenly on the pizza...they have like a 2-3 inch crust on the end instead of taking the cheese to the edge. To me this is either them trying to be cheap with the cheese or laziness...either way its making me look for another pizza place to go to. read more

Love Barro's all the time. We literally dream about this place (maybe once...) Barro's pizza is available across the valley so you aren't stuck to just this location and it has been good, in my option, across the board as well. We get the simple pepperoni pizza with the standard crust. It is always delicious and has never been overdone. As mentioned, I could literally eat this all the time. Going online they always have some sort of special or discount so check those out. We have ordered online and over the phone and have not had any issues. These are crazy times! Finally decided it was time for some takeout. So everyone, except my oldest wanted pizza. We use to eat here so the time, then I thought they had slipped in quality a little so we stopped for quite a long time. Anyways, we got 2 medium pizzas; a Hawaiian and a Barro's Special. Update 11/25/2019: lowering to 1 star. I made the mistake of not checking which Barro's my order was coming from and accidentally ordered from this one again, and guess what, REPEAT bad performance. The pizza is 30 minutes late and cold, leaving a house full of guests with soggy wings and room temp pizza. Last review: I love Barro's Pizza, I've been ordering from different locations for over 20 years. But my delivery from this location was room temperature on arrival. It's happened before and there's no way to give them feedback other than calling the delivery line again. Just seems like with so many options out there pushing to make sure your order is right that they may want to put more attention on this. read more

Here's the thing working in the industry I have given establishments benefit of the doubt. Multiple times I've gone to this location and the people behind the counter are rude but not only that our order is incorrect. We never have a complicated order it's pretty straightforward. We ask for no olives, there's a ton of olives. We ask for thin crust, it's regular crust. It's not like I messed up because the receipts show exactly what I order... I understand the whole world is understaffed but it isn't hard to read the order correctly and do what the ticket says. read more

Ordered wings and salad for delivery because my daughter had the wings previously and she liked them a lot. The wings were decent. No complaints. However, I'm beyond disappointed because I ordered the antipasto salad and I paid $7.49 for an antipasto with no meat, none at all what's so ever. As someone who has been a customer of Barro's for over 30 years, this location was the most disgusting, filthy location I've ever been to. Every table, was filthy and the floor was covered in food, pizza crusts etc. The bathrooms were also filthy. Pizza was great as usual but my wife and I were just shocked just how dirty it was. If I were the owner I would take pride in my establishment and make sure my team members make sure the restaurant is constantly cleaned instead of having 6 people standing around doing nothing. Never ordering again. Ordered pizza online at 4pm. Got an email saying my pizza would be coming at 6:50pm. Called right away, and the girl said "yeah, I don't know why it says that. You'll have it in 50 minutes." One and a half hours later, I call back checking on the order. Girl says "it should be going out now". Called 20 minutes later, and new girl says "yeah, your order says 6:50." I said called before to address that, and she said I would have to wait another 45 minutes." Canceled the order, and went elsewhere. Wish there was something less than one star. read more

Decent pizza for the money. Our go to is thin crust pepperoni, mushroom, and black olive. We have tried Lou Malinatis, it good but it will cost double what you pay at Barro'. Same with Vero's, good thin crust pizza but even with a 25% off coupon it was still $3 or $4 more than the Barros. Last time in we tried the 12 inch hot Italian sub. It was great and only $8.50!! We split it and had a couple beers and were out for under $25 with tip! Good family restaurant and affordable.. read more

Really enjoyed the pizza! We were dropping our youngest son off at ASU Poly and wanted good pizza near our hotel. Based on the Yelp reviews, we headed to Barron's. The staff was friendly and the place was busy! It was a bit loud, but that seemed consistent with the vibe. The pizzas came fast! They delivered a regular crust instead of thin crust, but he was too hungry to say anything. We didn't realize how hungry we were until we started eating. I really wasn't planning on coming here but everyone I was with wanted pizza so we decided to give it a try. I did argue because I didn't like the reviews, but this place is GREAT. We went in and ordered a thin crust meat lovers, wings, and garlic bread. They have a cute area for kids with games and a play kitchen so that's nice when you have to entertain a two year old. It was a decent wait, but it was worth it. They did bring out the wrong pizza, but made a new one really quickly. This pizza was DELICIOUS. OMG. I couldn't stop eating it. It was overflowing with meat, you just wanted to plant your face in it. The wings we got were medium, but we should have gotten hot. The sauce didn't stay on the wings but it was decent. The garlic bread was SO GOOD. I will definitely be back here and soon! read more

This is my first time to a Barros Pizza place and I loved it. The pizza slices are big. And the prices are good. I think I paid $7 for a soda and 3 slices of pizza. The slices were so big that I had 1 1/2 slices left over to take home. I would definitely recommend this spot to others. read more

With everything going on right now, everyone is quick to complain but I have a commendation to make. I had a "so-so" experience on Friday night with our wait time (food was great, just a longer wait than expected). On Friday, I saw a young lady running around checking on people and getting their food to them so I was slightly disappointed when she checked on me but my food was still 30 minutes off. However, I had a late flight last night and decided to go in with my wife to dine in. The young lady who took our order was incredible and the one who brought out our food was outstanding as well!!! I recognized her from Friday and she recognized me too. She welcomed me and thanked me for my loyalty as a returning customer. I am not sure if she remembered the issue with my order but she remembered my face and welcomed me back. That is what matters. I asked to leave a tip for her and she politely declined as she was the manager and could not accept tips but she said (in her words) "my closer tonight is a rock star, she took your order and was your other server tonight. If you would like, I can add a gratuity for her!" THEN, she said on behalf of Evelyn I would like to thank you for your generosity as I am sure if she was talking with us she would do the same. (not sure if those were her exact words but along those lines!) Thank you Evelyn and Briana for outstanding service and even though neither of you knew, you completely made up for Friday! Beware if you have allergies.. Ordered 3 gluten & dairy free pizzas. As I am pregnant and have a severe anaphylactic reaction to dairy, I made sure to express the importance of flagging these allergies, and making sure they was absolutely no cheese on the pizzas, multiple times. This could be fatal to both me, and my child. Got home only to realize that there was cheddar cheese all over my "guaranteed dairy free" pizza. Drove all the way back, and this isn't a quick drive for me, just to have them offer a "whoops, I guess that does have dairy" and to remake one of them, because the other two were "probably fine". Had to convince them to remake all three pizzas, as "probably fine" doesn't work for me when my life is literally on the line. Very unprofessional, and I will not be back. read more

Good pizza - really enjoy the food. Never had an issue with the food. Be wary of delivery though. I just got my 1 large half cheese, half pepperoni pizza 30 minutes late and go figure, it's cold. The receipt says time promised 6:26pm but my email said 65 minutes from time of order so let's use that time instead...That would make it due by 6:45pm as I'm just getting it at 7:15pm. My wife and I love Barro's pizza. It is the only place that reminds us of food back from back east. It saddens me to say that every sense they moved from the location on Williams Field to Market Street they have went down hill. We have both gotten very sick from their boneless wings, twice now. The first time it was literally the day after they moved. I figured that maybe some of the food got warm during transport. But then it happened a second time, last week. I asked my wife to call and complain to the manager and I brought left over pizza to work. When I was eating it for lunch I found a long black hair within the layers of the pizza. (My wife has blonde hair and I have short hair so it definitely was neither of ours.) I told my wife to the manager know about that issue too. When she finally did get through to the manager, he had zero remorse for the quality of our food. He was unwilling to even attempt to make it up to loyal customers... It's a shame when a chain gets too big to be managed properly. read more

Great lunch specials. We love that their crust is a bit thicker. Anytime we have ordered a full pizza it has been fantastic. My only criticism is that sometimes the slices you get for the lunch special are not fresh. l got cheese slice was fine but my husband's got the daily special & he said it was the worst pozza he has ever had there. I took a bite & it was crusty/stale tasting. It would be better if they got rid of the pizza after a certain amount of time. My goodness what is the deal with this location?! I've been a loyal Barro's customer since I was in diapers, had numerous birthday parties growing up at 7th st and Coral Gables. This location however takes the cake (or pie, because it's pizza) as far as sucky follow through is concerned. The staff up front does not know what to do with special orders, they just don't. They instantly turn into a politician on a swing issue "I don't know" or "I'm not sure, probably not." They cannot get an order correct to save their life and the app makes things even worse when trying to get delivery. Look, Im not saying don't go to Barro's but avoid this location at all costs. I LOVE Barro's. When I lived in AZ, I came here a lot with my mom and always had a good experience. The pizza here is so sinfully cheesy that I'm pretty sure they're the sole reason I have a high cholesterol problem, and I'm not even mad. I came back here when I was in town recently and they exceeded my expectations as usual. They had gluten-free options for two of my family members and they also had fantastic cheese bread and pizza for the rest of us. Staff was very friendly, even though we came close to closing. I really enjoy this place and wish we had some locations on the East coast, but I know I can always count on them when I'm in town! read more
