We stopped by here on Saturday night after the recommendation from a few people. The menu offers a lot of options. You can choose their custom creations or build your own pizza (which we did). As well, there are 3 different options of crust consistencies. For those that are gluten free, not to worry they have that as a choice and a cauliflower crust too! There's also some tasty looking pastas, salads & sandwiches. We started off with a few adult beverages & wings Did the two sauces (12 ct) buffalo bbq & buffalo garlic parmesan. So surprised by the taste of the buffalo garlic parmesan. Best one "flavor wise", we've had out thus far. Great wings! For our pizza again we did the build your own. Went with the thin crust topped with pepperoni, garlic and fresh basil. It came out piping hot, fresh and fantastic. The crust was amazing. Light & crispy and held up to those ingredients perfectly. The way that the pizza is presented and cut into those grids gives it a stylish dimension & easier to share amongst others. A genius creation to make it effortless to handle. Atmosphere was fun. Even had time for a karaoke tune! Our server was polite and always on top of things to make sure we were being well taken care of throughout our experience. Superb customer service! This location is a family operated business. You can feel the presence of that right when you walk thru the doors. These are the best types of restaurants as you feel the comfortable warm hospitality while at the same time pleasantly enjoying a good authentic Italian experience. I live nearby an have always wanted to stop in and have some pizza. Yesterday was the day. The inside is small but they make the space work. They have a wrap around bar, a lot of low level tables and high top tables. They also have seating outside. They had freezing cold AC blasting but also offered heaters for the outdoor seating in cooler days or nights. We were seated right away and the waitstaff were all very friendly and attentive. We ordered a small Caesar salad, 6 buffalo wings and a 10 in Sears Tower pizza. Everything was good no complaints. read more

We really enjoyed this place! Stopped in during a visit and met family who lives in the area but had never been, either. They accommodated our party if 8 with no problem, even when we asked to move (felt like we were kind of in the way, originally). We ordered three pizzas and two orders of bread. Each pizza was on their thin crust which was like a cracker crust with cornmeal bottom. The sauce was really good and cheese-- amazing! Very impressed with the food, overall! The ambiance was also quite inviting. Music at the appropriate volume to still be able to enjoy conversation, tv's playing multiple sporting events and comfortable seating. We ordered the Chicago deep dish 10 inch pizza and it was AMAZING, 10/10. Everything from the sauce, to the cheese, to the crust was perfect. The crust had the perfect crunch to it (even for reheated leftovers) and tasted very fresh. It would be a 5 star if the checkout process wasn't so sloppy. The hostess who handed the pizza over didn't have plastic utensils, plates, napkins, etc. We had to use our bare hands to try to eat deep dish pizza by hand in the car. Also, after all that she printed out the ticket (which was closed online) and asked for a tip again after I already said "no tip" online which was tacky. I don't tip for take out pizza. Fix the messy check out process and have take out necessities and this would be a 5 star experience every day and twice on Sunday. read more

I will preface this with the fact I am not a fan of deep dish pizza, so that is not what I ordered. Maybe that is the thing people come here for? If you are like me and optiong for something other than deep dish, I would skip this place. Firstly, the service was pretty poor, and very slow. No engagement from our waitress, it felt like she was hurrying us to even take our order. My son had the thin crust pizza and I had a sausage sandwich. The pizza was probably the worst I have had in AZ. The crust had zero flavor. My sandwich was interesting. It was pizza sausage with motzerella... thats it. Also no flavor. I got a takeout pizza from Veros, it was a little further away than other good spots, but I thought I'd give it a try. I ordered takeout, and the pizza was ready on time and piping hot! Good thing, because it cooled a bit in the 15 minute drive home. We got cheese with bacon, the bacon was plentiful, but on the edge of overcooked, there were a few peices that were nothing but char. This has been my number one go to pizza place. I will drive the very long distance to pick it up I don't even care. Tonight I have been sorely disappointed. When I returned home with my pizza my husband and I realized the crust was insanely salty. Like so salty it's not even possible to suck it up. So I called just wanting money back. I wouldn't even have made this post if not for Kristen, the manager. She didn't even apologize. In fact initially she tried pushing back as to how it could possibly be salty; how the h* would I know, shouldn't you ask your cook???!!! Clearly she did not believe me. Last night, I took my wife and daughter out for some Chicago deep dish pizza. It was in the low 90s here in Queen Creek, so I suggested we sit outside and enjoy the nice weather on the patio. We caught a beautiful sunset while digging into an amazing pizza at a spot called Vero Chicago Pizza. The staff was super friendly, and if you're into sports, you can catch a game while eating inside. It's tucked away in a quiet residential area surrounded by farmland, which made the whole experience really peaceful. We've been loyal customers of Buddy's and then Vero's for years because we loved their pizza--especially the deep-dish with spinach, garlic, and mushrooms. It was always the best. Today, we ordered that same pizza from Vero's, and it was a huge disappointment. The "deep dish" wasn't deep at all. There was barely any spinach, and the whole pizza was made differently: the cheese was on top instead of the usual tomatoes, garlic, and spinach. It felt completely changed from what we loved. We ended up throwing away half of it. The crust still had good flavor and texture, but overall, we're really disappointed with what they've done to the spinach pizza we used to enjoy so much. read more

What a cluster f@@@ this is! Placed an order online, for pickup. Order accepted, paid, order number provided. My wife arrived to pick up the order and was told they didn't have any such order! Told her the order was probably placed at the Ironwood Veros. My wife drove to that location and was told they had no such order. Meanwhile, I called the San tan location, asked for the manager. She informed me that they did not have our order!!! I insisted that she check, because I ordered on their website and it was paid for. She found it. Said it was sitting there waiting for pickup. Not very impressed with Vero :( we were greeted and seated right away, great! I ordered a water that never came even after asking twice. So I got a soda instead. We tried the garlic fries... they were good but somewhat soggy and pretty oily and had a pool of grease at the bottom of the basket. My husband asked for an Arnold Palmer and had to ask two more times on top of that before getting it and anytime I needed a drink refill I had to wait around and ask. Our pizza finally came out and that was absolutely fantastic!!! But again, the extremely slow service and lack of service at most times was annoying as our server kept going to the bathroom and would be in there for a while and each time walk out on her cell phone. Which whatever, do you so long as the service is good! But it just was heavily lacking. We asked for the check a couple times before finalllllly getting it. Yet another cell phone bathroom break to keep us waiting instead of just ringing us up ‍ so instead of waiting for our server to handle the check we decided to just go up to the front to pay thinking that might speed up the process but to my surprise, they didn't have change for a twenty and that took a while as well so I headed off to the car where it was warm because it was enjoyably cold and borderline freezing inside. Pizza amazing? Yes. However... the. Last 3 times I've been there I have been completly ignored. So crazy. I have never experienced anything like it. Multiple employees walk right by me. I even make eye contact, raise my eyebrows and try to get their attention. That didn't even work. They're all young so I attribute it to that and also they're always busy. The worst Vero's in the area by far. There are others, avoid this one. I placed an order for takeout. When I got there, I found out they made the wrong pizza and misheard what I wanted over the phone. Someone came and said they would get it corrected but it would be 35 minutes. I waited 35 minutes for the correct order. You would think they would have offered a discount or something for the inconvience and having to wait. They offered nothing. The bartender who came to reenter the order was about to enter it wrong again. He severely lacks any kind of customer service skills. Never coming back to this location again. Wings are seasoned in cayenne oil, came with ranch, carrots and wings! Delicious! Large thin crust pepperoni pizza, a side salad, and a large cheese pizza with no sauce for the kids who have tomato allergies. The staff are super friendly, food was made to order and fresh. This is the best pizza around! I moved to AZ about a year and a half ago, and could only find large chains like Dominos for a while. I don't care much for the large chains, except Round Table, but I can't find one around here. So far, I've liked every pizza from Vero, and all three of the crusts. It isn't greasy, and they use quality ingredients. It really is the best pizza I've ever had. Depending on how many toppings, a large pizza will run you $19 and up. The large will feed a family. I am originally from Chicago so I know good pizza. I would definitely recommend Vero Pizza. Also next time I went had the Italian Beef Sandwich and it was Outstanding. Sure beats Portillo's. What is going on? This place used to be top notch and now they seem to have lost some of the magic. We have had issues in the past, with some pizza customization getting messed up, but know its just a plain steal of my $. Food: Pizza is still good, but the toppings were almost non-existent. I spent almost $10 just on toppings and some I didnt even see on the pizza. Service: Decided to go with delivery, which is DoorDash. The driver made another drop-off before heading to my house. So while it took longer than expected, it still arrived hot. Problem is that the oils and sauce at that point soaked through the crust and it was just a sponge, with no crispiness left. So word to the wise: Do dine in or carryout only, delivery from here will be a disappointment. Overall: This was a great option for a long time and it's closer to our house than Lou's.
