Absolute favorite place to go for lunch. Mega shmeat special is the highlight of my week! Love the people there, they've always been kind and very respectful with overall great service. As for the less than stellar review left by Juan M. I am quite appalled by your lack of respect for my boy Barro, he is a saint and I will not have you and your great clips haircut tarnish his good family name. Their pizza is second to none crafted carefully and masterfully by Barro himself. Clearly you have no taste for pizza and I'd like it if you kept your inferior opinions out of this review section. It's really a shame to see people who have personal vendettas against Barro slander his name behind his back. No words. read more

If I could I would not give any stars I got the spaghetti and that's pretty much all I got was spaghetti not very much sauce was on it if all I want was pasta I could make it a lot cheaper I was very disappointed in it. My frist and only time I will be eating there. read more

Been to multiple locations, all about the same. Loved the one on cactus in Peoria. $2 slices or $2.75 w/drink. Salad bar is decent and they do "slice of the day" deal. Recommend walking in for lunch for best experience / best deal. read more

Stopped in here today to ask to use the phone in somewhat trying circumstances. My cell phone was in for repair and I was locked out from where I needed to go and they weren't responding to knocks. I was told no, can't make a local call. Not even a "sorry we can't help". Very unneighborly. If their service reflects this attitude, I would avoid. read more

I haven't been to a Barro's in years and figured I'd try it out. The place was spotless and the customer service was great. The problem was the pizza is just so bland. It was like eating styrofoam that looked like pizza. It was cooked fine, no problem with that, but it was just so bland and tasteless. I only ate half and left. The staff were nice and pleasant but I can't give a better review because of the bland nature of what I ate. read more

Pizza is pretty good. Nice crust, tangy sauce with a slight kick. The service was good, but I've had better. We ordered 24 wings and sauce on the side, and the wings were awful. Small and dry with very little meat on them. Their antipasto salad wasn't really good either. The meat you get with it was a joke. Not enough for an appetizer for a four year old. I'm not from the area as our daughter and her family live in the area and we were just visiting, so safe to say we won't be back to this place. If you're looking for a great pizza place for either dining in or take out, I highly recommend this local restaurant. Employees are always very nice and helpful and definitely the best Pizza in Tempe. The wings are always perfect and the best ranch with larger containers which I always appreciate. The mega meats is my go to for any day of the week but you cannot go wrong with any toppings you pick. If you dine in, they serve beer and wine as well...super bonus for me. read more

Holly cow once you try this pizza it will be your families new pizza place!! If you're a thin crust person the thin crust pizza is good, but their original crust tops the charts. The prices are reasonable and the pizza is phenomenal. I have been going to Barros since it was new to the valley and the quality has been great since the beginning. The best part about Barros is that not only is their pizza phenomenal, but their wings will make your mouth water also. I frequent this location so much that I have become more adventurous since I am seldom disappointed in their food. If you're looking for something a little different I highly recommend their BBQ chicken pizza it actually has BBQ sauce as opposed to to red sauce. Also their Honey Hot wings have a great taste as well! If it is your first time try the basics (pepperoni pizza and hot wings) I assure you, you have not had rising crust as good as theirs! Furthermore, my goodness... that cheese on the pizza. Your pizza for the first time will actually look like what they promise in the pictures, the cheese will stretch as you pull each piece! ****Tips: get the hot wings well done, adds a crunch to your bite and their sooooo darn good. they are always willing to do certain toppings on only portions of the pizza so sharing is simple. read more

When I travel to Tempe I always stop in for a pie. The new location is great! Ample seating which can accommodate large parties! The pizza is always fresh and the crust is fantastic! We usually keep it simple and grab a large pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. If you are looking for a great local pizza joint you won't be disappointed. The corner of Rural and Baseline has a problem with new businesses. Each time one opens, it is either a different version of an existing establishment (Chiptole opens across the street from Q Doba, Circle K opens diagonally across the street from QuickTrip) OR the exact same establishment that semi- or un-successfully existed very close by. In the case of this review, Barro's Pizza has opened a brand shiny new location about 3/4 of a mile east of one that just closed. They might call it "moving", but for someone who lives nearby it's just annoying and frustrating. So, this Barro's location is new, but the pizza still sucks. Overly doughy, soggy in the middle despite being prepared "double well done", meat toppings tasting very frozen, sauce tasting very canned. It's cheap and quick, and they're nice enough. But the product rivals the Kroger store brand freezer version. I may try their wings or subs, and I will probably regret it. I'll update this review if I do. Boo Barros. read more

Nice thick gooey flavorful pizza at a great price. Pizza was piping hot and ready as soon as we came in to pick it up. Not your standard thin crust New York style but but who cares. Splits the difference between Chicago deep dish and New York's thin style. GOBS Of cheese. A beautiful over the top indulgence. read more

We love Barro's pizza for delivery or pickup. I wouldn't reccommend a salad there because it's only made of iceberg lettuce which seems pointless to me, but the pizza is always wsaucy and always has a ton of toppings. read more

Barro's is what Digiorno wishes it could be with that rising crust crap. I swear, if I could eat Barro's every day without my arteries protesting, I would. (And could, because it's cheaper compared to other pricier options like Venezia's and Spinato's.) The cheese is high quality, salty, melty, and they don't skimp. The crust is chewy and thick and awesome with some of those rad mega crust bubbles near the edge. The toppings are always high quality and generous. The wings are thick and juicy, deep fried to a crisp and then smothered in the perfect amount of sauce. And they deliver to me three miles away, which makes me super happy. read more

I don't usually order spaghetti out but I was so in the mood for spaghetti and meatballs and did not feel like cooking it....so glad I did! If you like an EXTREMELY CHEESY pizza barro's, this Barro's is for you. Every other one I went to always had a good portion of cheese, sauce and meats. This used to be our regular pizza place but for some reason recently it has declined. This last order we got pizza and wings and the wings were cold and the pizza was over cooked. Might give them one more chance but just a heads up, I wouldn't order later than 5. Update: Emailed and never heard anything back. Hopefully this isn't a way to make people think you're "on top" of your bad reviews. read more

So first time at BA121 Rural & Broadway - First Props to "Peyton", a very knowledgeable kind voice on the phone who answered every one of my questions. And found we shared a commonality in our names. I had planned and was a bit later then I wanted, called and spoke to CHO who took our order and it was pretty simple and we found that hunger out wayed a correct meal. So we will score the meal 4 out of 5 As we found Wings, close to extra crispy Sauce requested Mild tasted more like Fire PIzza requested Easy Sauce more like normal sauce The fact that I called it in, jumped on the freeway and was there before the Pizza came out of the oven and wings were boxed and ready. AS our experiences go, we used to the style and make, and they did a good job, with making sure there were 3 Ranch sauce and Celery almost forgot, was in a paper bag and not in a plastic bag so they were a bit dry and fell out when I grabbed the bag and pulled it out of the wing box. Recommendation next time plastic bag the veggies and foil protect the bottom of the extras bag. Dinner was split between myself and taste discerning coworker who had nothing to say but yummy. Driving down Borderline Road, looking for something to eat, went pass this place and was tempted, after going another two miles or so we made a U-Turn (Not sure if it was legal or not) so ended up here and we're very glade we decided on this place, the whole pizza is VERY good! Went here to check it out since my coworker was singing Barro's praises. Welp, it's pretty run-of-the-mill. The crust (the most important part of a pizza) is weird and kinda spongy, but otherwise comparable to any other run-of-the-mill pizza joint. I got the Kona, which is some kind of play on a Hawaiian pizza except it has chicken instead of ham and some kind of sweet teriyaki glaze instead of red sauce. Not very good, and if I had it to do again I'd just get a traditional pizza. Still, don't think it's really worth it without a coupon or something. The staff was nice and the atmosphere if you're dining in (I didn't) seems above average for this type of place. read more

When we want good pizza, we go to Barros. It's best when eaten in the restaurant - fresh and hot. I don't think pizza travels well in a box - it starts to steam and it affects the crust. Good service, good pizza, good prices, clean, efficient and friendly employees. Plenty of TV's to watch the game. Lunch specials. No complaints! read more

I ordered delivery and the food came on time, it was hot and was good! I had pepperoni pizza and mild hot boneless wings. I got 6 but they actually gave me 9 which was nice. I will say they tasted spicer than expected. I also noticed the pizza wasn't cut enough so I had to cut a bit myself but otherwise a good experience. I would eat here again! read more

I've gone to more than a few Barro's Pizza & I was completely unsatisfied with my experience at this one. It was awful, even though it's closest to my new apartment, I will NEVER be returning. Ever. The lady that checked me out was so rude.. everytime I go to Barro's, I get the same damn thing every time & this place is so stingy.
