I read someone who said Barro's pizza reminded them of Pizza Hut. That is NOT a compliment! And after trying Barro's the other day, I have to agree - it does taste like Pizza Hut pizza. That's not a good thing. I stay away from the pizza chains as much as possible, and I want a pizza that's going to taste original. Barro's doesn't fit that bill. read more

The only reason I'm giving you stars is cause the food is always good. That was the only thing this place had going for them today. You'd think at 1:30pm on a Saturday you'd have more than one person at the register. Ordered a gluten free pizza 2 slices a cheese bread, a ranch and a glass of wine. The cashier said she needed to find someone to give me our drinks. I went to drop off or plates and number at the table. Came back grab my drinks and the person at the register was going to charge me again I had to explain they were already paid for. They dropped the GF pizza off and I told the girl we were still missing the 2 slices, the cheese bread and the ranch. After a while she brought the slices. Told her again we were waiting on cheese bread and a the ranch.... no one came back. I finally went to the counter and asked for the ranch and cheese bread. She gave me the ranch and looked for the cheese bread. I gave her my table number and she said "I remember you ordering it" then read the order back... no cheese bread. This would of been noticed by me if they ever gave you an Itemized receipt which they never do. I'll stick to delivery maybe.... read more

Good food and atmosphere. Not much variety for alcoholic beverages other than some beer, but that's okay. First time I have eaten in rather than taken it to go - much better this way! Needs to label on the fountain drink machine which is water and which is soda water - I had a big surprise, lol! read more

Great food. We go about twice a month and are starting to notice that they have about a 2 1/2 to 3 inches of crust on the pizza. Which means less cheese and pepperoni on the pizza. Did not notice that in the beginning. read more

Besides the pizza being mediocre at best, apparently I should know better and request a fork to eat my salad with when I have food delivered to my hotel. Armando the "manager" is clearly young so I can't blame him to much for his lack of sincerity and his sarcastic childish tone. This place used to be really good, but now their customer service sucks. I don't know what qualifications they're using to hire people anymore, most likely just their looks I would assume. I understand that they want to attract the college guys, but the food should do the job. Speaking over the food it has become substandard compared to what it used to be. I have been a regular at this location for more than 6 years, and over the last year the decline has caused several mistakes in my orders. I have a large family and when I order food I need it to be ready and good to go because I'm feeding more than just myself. Hopefully they can get back to their prior form. read more

Wow. Been going to Barros for 15 years and never again. Wife and I walked in for lunch, each carrying a baby. We asked an employee if we could get 2 high chairs. She then pointed to where those are kept, on the other side of the dining area. Umm thx. So with baby in hand, I went and grabbed one.. took it to my wife so that she could put a baby down.. then grabbed the other one, which was missing a strap. I felt it would have been great if the employee had helped me. Not very welcoming. I will buy pizza elsewhere from now on. read more

We ordered delivery to our hotel room. It was somethin' special for sure! Beautiful soft, think crust, lots of cheese and loaded with toppings. We also has a cesar salad. It's pretty hard to "dress up" a cesar salad, but these guys did it. We had tomatoes added to ours (free of charge), and the parmesan cheese isn't the shredded stuff from a plastic bag, but freshly shaven from a block. The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is the food tasted fine. Service was awful. I called in a carry out and they game me a 20 min window I arrived 5 mins early therr are workers all over seemingly waiting to do something, pay and wait I'm the only person in the place aside from a few people who were eating. Cashier tell me it'll be just a few mins. As I wait people come in after me and order and leave with their orders I finally (after now waiting 15 mins after my promised pickup time so 35 mins now) and I finally get someone to stop chatting with each other to ask if I needed something I let him know I have been waiting for 15 minutes after the 20 minutes my pizza was promised so he goes to check and a few mins later a woman comes up unapologetic no smile nothing and grabs the stuff on the counter and pizza from the warmer (mind you no one said anything about my order being ready) and she looks at me still no cordial bone in her body and says "Have you paid yet" and I nicely answered "yes" she looks at me and moves my order to the computer (does not tell me anything as to what she is doing) and keeps typing stuff up and finally says "here you go". Still no apology or recognition and the only nice words were to tell me have a nice night still emotionless face no smile and very inscencere. So I am not sure why there are 8 people "working" when there is no sort of process. This was my first time ever having Barros and with this experience it will probably be my last mind you it's even the closest place to me and I still probably will not go. Thanks for the poor experience but I will take my manners elsewhere and strongly recommend you pay attention to experience it's kind of a big deal. I frequent this place quite awhile often after 4:30 pm. I call in my order from work and pick my meal up on my way home. Everybody is friendly and glad to help. This morning (Sunday) we went as soon as the Restraunt opened. The gal that took our order, must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed. She was not friendly to us right off the bat. As a result, I did not want to be friendly to her either. My husband, bless his heart, was cordial to her, in spite of her snotty attitude towards us. Don't know what we did to her or she just chose to treat us that way. I can't say, but I prefer the evening peeps. They are a lot friendlier than the morning people. My Husband said that he went to get to go boxes for our leftovers and the same girl basically ignored him.... Even though he was the one saying please and thank you. Anyways she wasn't very friendly, I liked this establishment in the evenings.... They are more attentive and friendlier. read more

I love, love, love Barros! Great pizza and the ranch is to die for! Do your self a favor and get extra ranch so that you can experience it for your self! The crust is so delicious with ranch, the pizza itself is not in need of ranch but it adds another level of satisfaction! Pizza maybe good, but delivery SUCKS. And then when you call to check the status they say "Your on his list, just be soon". WTH does that mean? I asked for an eta. My household loves Barro's Pizza, and this new location on Rural and Baseline is twice as big as its old location, they have more TV's for watching sports in the big room, a children's play area, video games and even a TV dedicated to kids programming. This is a great spot especially for lunch! Lunch Special menu almost everything is under $5. The family seating/games are separate from a quieter area when you first walk in. So I was in town & had some Barro's pizza (of course) Suggestion to the owner: Is there anyway you can creat something for the traveler?? like vaccume sealed pizza or something?? I wanted to order a mid size pizza to take it w/me to Dallas then I thought about carrying pizza box through security & sitting in the airplane making everyone's mouth watering won't be fair so I didn't do that (actually my BF kept saying "they won't let you carry it!!" Next time, just to prove him wrong, I am going to order one & take it with me to Dallas!) . It's getting too expensive to fly out to AZ for your pizza. Maybe you can open one here in Dallas or help me open one! Or better idea, traveler's from other State who provides airline ticket stub get's 20% off! That is a great idea! Barros special pizza is the best. Crust is delicious. The Wings are big and meaty. I never liked wings before but these wings are fully cooked and not dried. I would highly recommend. The seating is kinda weird like a maze lol read more

definitely the best barro's location i've been to!! it's always consistent, clean, pleasant employees with great customer service! they can be crazy busy and still be smiling and attentive. i usually get a veggie pizza, veggie salad or cheesy bread which has all been SUPER bomb! it's nice to go here and watch a football game sometimes to take a break from the busy loud sunday football bars. i miss living in tempe and by this location! no other ones compare. read more
