We just wanted something easy and chill for our first night in town. We weren't super hungry so ended up close to our hotel at Bart & Yeti's! Really loved our experience - lots of the cutest doggos on the patio and great food: *Green Chili (Pork green chili served with flour tortillas) - apparently green chili is all the rage in CO!! I thought it was a NM thing but I'm not complaining! Bart & Yeti's was flavorful, thick yet lighter than a traditional chili! *Chicken Wings - we got it NORMY style. Apparently that is the WAY. It's almost like barbecue AND spicy but ALSO grilled (you can see distinct grill marks). It was fire. *1/2 Rack Ribs + Chicken Breast plate (came with coleslaw and fries) - I let our server know we were splitting it and it was so nice that they brought it out pre-split for us! Talk about awesome service.

This was one of our favorite places to go during our stay at Vail. If you're looking for a fun bar with good food, great drinks and amazing company, you'll love it here as well. The first time we came, we met so many friendly people and locals including the owners that made us feel right at home. We could've talked to them all day! This bar has such a fun and great atmosphere and very cool decorations. We ended up coming back 2 days later for food before making our journey back to the airport. We saw some of the same people here and had just as good of a time as our first visit. We also split a burger with a salad and the Irish nachos that actually blew us away. To end the trip, we also purchased some hoodies for the memories. Absolutely love it here and can't recommend it more

We came her after a day of skiing. The place is a cute little dive bar. They were busy around 4 when the lifts closed and we had to wait outside for a little to get a table inside. The lady helping us was nice though and brought us inside once here was a seat available. The food was very average. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and it was a little watery. Wasn't the best I've ever had but it was edible. It was a little pricy in my opinion. But a nice place to hang out after a day on the slopes.

Came here for a quick afternoon beer and snacks. Got the hummus and pita bread. Pardon the picture as I already started eating it lol. Bartender was super awesome and helpful. It's opening day in the Vail village area so not a lot is open yet so he had a lot of great recommendations of what was actually open for dinner and what his favorites were. Ambiance is super pub like and fun. Fun stuff on the walls lol.

Bart & Yetis is a staple when vacationing in Vail! Great bar food, quick service with an apres ski vibe! We came at the end of ski season in April so I was nervous that there would not be a lot of restaurants open. Bart & Yetis was open!! I had a burger and my daughter had nachos! Serving sizes are big and delicious!

We let the kids go shopping in Lionshead village. We found this little pub and decided to hop in for a drink. The service was very slow unfortunately. We waited some time to order and for our check.

It was pretty quiet (still off-season), and my husband and I were the only ones there when we walked in around 10. We sat at the bar and had a lovely conversation with Jeremy; I ordered the Gingerbread Man (take on an old fashioned with brown butter washed bourbon, and my husband got the "50 Shades of Green" - definitely one of the most unique cocktails we've ever tried! Shortly after we walked in, a huge group of 10-12 women walked in followed by some other groups shortly after them. It was a really fun atmosphere and both cocktails were 10/10.

Price: Expect standard Vail pricing for high-end cocktails, with most drinks ranging between $16-$20. Customer Service: The service was fantastic. The staff was incredibly kind and efficient; even though we stayed for quite a while to catch up, we felt welcomed and well-attended to the entire night. Atmosphere This spot has a cool, welcoming vibe that feels very safe. It's the kind of environment where you can really settle in and enjoy the company you're with. The Drinks I ordered the Sangre del Sol. The flavor was amazing, though be warned it is very strong! It's an excellent choice if you enjoy a cocktail with a serious kick, but I ended up letting my friend finish mine after a few sips. Overall Experience I highly recommend Root & Flower for a beautiful setting and top-tier service. Pro Tip: A huge bonus for this location is the parking! You can park for free after 3 PM at the S. Frontage Rd. East garage right nearby. I'll definitely be back!

We stopped in at the Red Lion after skiing…read more It was crowded and we were looking for an outside table for six people. Only four of us were there as the other two were across the street at Christy's returning their rental skis. There was a table of 6 but the hostess said she couldn't sit us until the other two arrived. Right then, a guy walks up and asks for that same table. He was by himself and she gave the table with six chairs to him. His full party was clearly not there but she sat him anyway. Why is that allowed? Clearly favoritism. And to be clear, two of his friends showed up and the other three never arrived. So, at that point we told the hostess we were now a table of four and she said we could sit at a table that had 3 chairs. Well okay....we took it. We grabbed the table and asked other tables around us for the extra 3 chairs and everyone was nice enough to give us the extra chairs. Our server, Suzanne was excellent. Very attentive, friendly and immediately brought us our drinks and food. The nachos were tasty. Drinks were good but pricy. I give Suzanne 5 stars, food 3 stars hostess 0 stars. Treat everyone fairly and respectfully. The hostess could use customer service training.

**15/10; iconic, must be protected at all costs**…read more My girlfriend and I are in Vail for the weekend to watch dogs jump into water, as one does. We're staying at the Grand Hyatt, which has been... fine. Meh, if we're being honest. A local recommended Mountain Standard, so we tried to make a reservation on OpenTable and quickly learned they were booked solid until tomorrow (a great data point, btw). But, being the swarthy pirates that we are, we showed up anyway; and thank sweet baby Jesus, we found two seats at the bar. Our barkeep, Gummow, a fellow swarthy pirate, was excellent in every possible way. His bar back, Rowan, could not have been a better support man. Together, they delivered the kind of service that makes you remember why hospitality is an art form. And the food? Absolutely to die for. My girlfriend had the oxtail, and I had the mock paella. Both were incredible. The service, the food, the environment; every facet was dialed in. We will be going back tomorrow for lunch, possibly dinner, and possibly to inquire about monthly rent. The restaurant is definitely number one at customer service and I loved how everyone worked together. Even though the restaurant was busy, we did not feel lost in the shuffle. It was clean and inviting. They offered an array of choices, so there would be something for everyone if you decide to dine here. The food was good, preparation and display were done carefully, but the taste was overall just ok. The appetizers we chose were Warm Pimento Cheese, which was mildly flavorful, but good, and Prime Beef Carne Apache, which had no flavor at all. The main courses we chose included a pork dish and a chicken dish. The chicken had great flavor, but was placed on a bed of potato wedges which were not all completely cooked through. We felt this took away from the overall dish. The accompanied sauce made with yogurt and poppyseed did not add any flavor to the dish. The pork dish had great flavor. The drinks accompanying the food were made well and tasty. The kids menu has an array of choices as well, and our choice of macaroni and cheese was a hit! We ended with a frozen snicker bar dessert that tasted exactly like a frozen snickers bar. Overall, we had a very nice evening and would definitely visit again.

I struggled to slice it even with a steak knife, and it was also quite flavorless. I ended up leaving most of it unfinished, as shown in the photo. I had hoped the server would ask if anything was wrong with the dish after seeing so much of it left on the plate, but he didn't. Considering the quality, the prices were on the higher end.
