For all I know I was being charged $200 per hour for that guy to talk to his girlfriend! This company has no scruples so I wouldn't put it past them! Besides, I didn't realize customers now foot the bill for on the job training! If you have money to burn use this company but money will be the only thing burning if you do - it certainly won't be your boiler!

I found Q's on Yelp and looked at the reviews and contacted Mark (the owner). He got back to me very quickly! When my furnace had issues they came out same day and the price didn't break my budget. Chris and Mike came out and serviced my furnace, they were professional, quick and efficient. I can't recommend them enough to everyone I know. Broad Brook discovered the leak, patched it, and done, for a fraction of the price. Amazing! I highly recommend their maintenance agreement plan, which covers you for a whole year, making sure things are ship-shape. He reassured me his company could do the repairs and even continue to service our boiler. After receiving the estimate, I called and left Dennis a message on October 23, 2017, to have Broad Brook come do the repair work. As of November 14th, 2017 I have yet to hear from Broad Brook. They responded immediately, had someone at the house within a few hours, and didn't charge me for the visit. The tech reviewed it with me and said he would let the office know what was involved. The leak was coming from a high point vent which would require very little labor and the only material would be the high point vent itself. I spoke with Jordan from their office and she told me the estimate was for $590.00 plus tax. I made a point to say that the estimate sounded really high for what needed to be done and Jordan said there was much more material and labor involved then I was seeing. I told Jordan I would want to see exactly what was being replaced and track the labor time while the tech was here doing the repair and we scheduled the repair. May 6, 2026, the tech arrived at 12:10PM, he went to the area and confirmed that the repair was just the replacement of the high point vent itself, and he was done and back in his truck at 12:50PM. A week later I received the bill for the full $590.00 plus tax, I called and spoke with Jordan who said that I had agreed to the price when I scheduled the work, I told her that's not how I remembered it and regardless the tech was here for less than an hour and only used one small high point vent so the $590.00 plus tax was really high and I asked to speak with the owner. Jordan called me back to let me know the bill had been reduced to $230.50 plus tax which I felt more accurately reflected the work that was actually performed. Jordan made a point to say that there would be a note in my file moving forward where I would have to agree in writing with the estimate before any further work would be performed, I stated I was not happy with this and that, if the original estimate had been accurate in the first place this issue would not have happened. I again asked to speak with the owner and to date I have not heard back from anyone. Jordan was somewhat confrontational and did not in any way try to resolve the issue. I have been a customer of T&S for approximately 9 years without any issues like this before. I know they were either recently bought out or merged with another company so beware if you are having work done to make sure you fully understand the scope and advocate for yourself regarding pricing. It is a shame to have to do this as I deal with many service companies and rarely ever have issues like this. On the rare occasion there is a conflict between pricing and the actual work the other companies I deal with reevaluate the work and corresponding bill and adjust accordingly without any attitude and/or statements that I'm going to have to accept their pricing in the future whether or not I agree with it. I will be looking for other options for fuel oil, maintenance, repairs and installations in the future...
