Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I attended Projekt Redlands recently and unfortunately witnessed a situation involving the security…read morestaff that quickly became uncomfortable and unnecessarily intense. From where I was standing, a group nearby seemed to be having a normal night out and wasn't causing any major disturbance. However, one security guard, a tall man with black grills appeared agitated long before any confrontation actually started. The issue seemed to begin when the guard confronted a couple and accused them of not moving quickly enough, even though they had already stepped aside. Instead of trying to calmly handle the interaction, the guard immediately became confrontational and aggressive. The man in the group responded verbally, but I never saw him physically threaten anyone before security escalated things further. What stood out most was the behavior after the group was told to leave. Several guards continued yelling insults and profanity, including disrespectful comments directed at the women in the group. The tension kept building because security seemed more interested in provoking the situation than calming it down. Eventually drinks were thrown, and multiple guards rushed in physically shoving people while pepper spray was used. As someone who was not involved and simply observing, the entire interaction felt avoidable and extremely unprofessional. Security staff are supposed to help maintain a safe environment, but this situation made the atmosphere feel hostile and chaotic instead. After witnessing this, I would seriously reconsider returning to the venue unless management takes a closer look at how their security team handles conflict.

It may have just been the day but all females got a free light up flower headband, so that was a nice pleasant surprise! The front section is a dance floor area with lights and video going along to the music and some fog, the middle had areas to sit plus games (beer pong, big Jenga) and a fireplace, and the back area was back inside and had the bar and some more area to hang out. Not sure if it's a partnership or just a perfect spot for opportunity, but there was "Downtown Tacos" right outside the entrance and they hit the spot after a few drinks and games of beer pong! It was fun! I only gave 4 stars because they can build it up - more fire pits? The group stayed there the entire time we were here. More seating and more games all in the middle section area?
