Fry trio. The chipotle aioli was great
    Jessica L.

Speakeasy vibes and very relaxed. I love dim lighting and the ambiance is great. Friendly service! I lovedddd their take of the Cuban sandwich. Carnitas with shaved ham and delicious mustard with pickles and Swiss on sourdough. It was outstanding! The fries have tons of pepper on them but it was nice. I liked the chipotle aioli too. The old fashioneds are yummy and they made me a lovey mocktail! It was a great place to swing by and have a little date afternoon! We will be back again!!!

OMG! The food is absolutely amazing. We got The Alley Pesto Pizza, Artichoke Dip, and the Fish Tacos. All great but the pizza was the best. Love the atmosphere. Has speakeasy vibe with cool music. Service was fantastic. Thank you for taking such good care of us Ariana. ‍

Honestly one of the best hidden gems in Redlands. We stumbled upon The Copehouse Bistro by accident and ended up being seated at the bar by the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff -- which honestly set the tone for the entire experience. The space is intimate, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, making it perfect for a date night or even a first date where you actually want to talk and enjoy the moment. We ordered a pizza along with a couple of cocktail drinks to kick off the evening, and everything hit the mark. The pizza was flavorful and well made, and the cocktails were balanced, creative, and clearly crafted with care. What really stood out was the atmosphere -- relaxed, warm, but still elevated. It's the kind of place where you can sit back, slow down, and genuinely enjoy your time without feeling rushed. If you're looking for a spot in Redlands to unwind, enjoy great drinks, and soak in a great vibe, The Copehouse Bistro is absolutely worth a visit

    Happy hour menu

I found this place quite by accident. I was actually on my way to Batter Rebellion when I ran into one of the co-owners of both restaurants. When he talked about The differences in menu between the two I decided to give it a try. Copehouse has a great bar menu. I ordered the tuna tacos served on wonton taco shells. They were delicious! My dish was a little sweet, a little spicy and 100% awesome. It surprised me! I didn't expect to like tuna tacos. Our server was helpful. The restaurant is more of a bar with a few extra tables than a restaurant with a large dedicated dining area. I have to use a wheelchair. If I knocked of any points it would be for limited accessibility. The building is old some corners are tight. The restroom is less than ideal but I made it in and out nevertheless. The food was good the happy hour prices were a nice treat. I will eat here again.

Darrien is a great server, I got to try the food and all was delicious! Fun atmosphere.

A true gem of Redlands! The entrance is hidden, down the side street with cute colored umbrellas hanging overhead. My husband and I came across it unexpectedly and were so happy we picked it. The menu features upscale dishes and the environment inside is moody, perfect for date night or drinks with a small group of friends. For starters we got the Garlic Croquettes which were extremely rich and large (had to cut ourselves off so we didn't get too full). My husband also ordered the Electric Fell drink which is a fancy mojito with a bit of a twist. They recommend drinking some and then chewing on the Szechuan which activates your taste buds for a tingly feeling. Unique experience! For the main we had a Pork Shank dish which was totally to die for. The pork was extremely tender and fell right off the bone. I believe they rotate the items on their menu so I'm not sure if this is always available but it should be. By the time dessert rolled around we were too stuffed but still got a chocolate cake to go and enjoyed it heated up once we got home. Lastly, the waitress was very attentive to us all night and also gave us a heads up that the pork would take longer to make.

We just stopped by for a drink, but it was a very pleasant time. The vibes were great and so was the bartender. Loved it.

    Ribeye steak

The drinks and food were excellent. We had the chicken Cesar salad and the ribeye steak. The bread with butter candle was sooo tasty too. Service was great. Copehouse has such a cute speakeasy vibe with added bonus of good music. Very reasonably priced.

Lemon ricotta berry French toast and side of bacon

First time coming here for brunch. The lemon ricotta french toast was a standout! And the bacon was awesome. Love when restaurants use bacon that tastes like what you make at home versus that weird extra leathery stuff some places use. My friends loved the endless mimosas and the breakfast ciabatta sandwhich. I would like to come back and try the pancake. The only item that fell flat IMO was the lavender iced coffee. I realize this place isn't known for their coffee but even a nespresso machine could deliver a better coffee or latte for those of us appreciate a real coffee taste and caffeine hit. Overall that wouldn't stop me from coming back tho as the cocktail menu sounded great and the mimosas were good. Would just need to get coffee first elsewhere. Also the place runs pretty loud when you sit inside so heads up for that.

If you're looking for a spot with just the drinks you need and the food to pair, this is your place. We were seated at a cozy corner and our waitress let us know what drinks they had on deck. Super helpful! Trust me this place has what you need, from the list of cocktails to just a cold beer, they got it. But the food is where it's at! The pizza was packed with toppings and the right amount of cheese! The steak was perfect cooked and the fries (let's just say we ordered a second round, they were that good)!

    Rachel H.

Second time visiting. Wasn't too packed at first, but filled up as the night went on. We both ordered the steak and it was delicious! At one point, our last order of drinks took forever to come out, but it was one bartender and I'm sure everyone else was ordering drinks too. Our waitress was really sweet and it's has a cute ambiance to it. This time, we got seated in the main room, but it still felt very quaint.

Before we arrived my friend attempted to reserve a table through open table and was unable to find the bar. I want to mention, this place is one my favorite bars in Redlands. Especially because there are no TVs and they play great music. I usually come here often but I've been busy. I haven't been here in 2 or 3 months. We'll tonight was my 1st night back and we arrived and was approached by Darren. She greeted us and said inside was for reservations only and we can be seated outside. It was cold this evening so we declined. The bar was empty mind you and seats at the bar were available but she did not offer that to us. She just walked away. 2 mins later we were greeted by another gentleman who was able to seat us a table for 2 and he also informed me that seating at the bar was available as well. Very strange. We continued our night the bar was still empty pretty much until 45 mins into our dinner. So I am not sure if they're hosting ghosts here? Or what reservations were they waiting on but the original service was not usual service I've received. Everything else for reminder of the night was great. Pesto pizza was amazing and the crust was cooked to perfection. I also had watermelon Paloma and it was delicious. I understand reservations are priority but if someone comes and sits us less than 5 mins later is strange. And I thought if someone is late more than certain time frame their reservations gets canceled. Maybe this is new system but the experience was strange.

    Don M.

Wow! What a lousy response from this restaurant . They could've apologized. They could've tried to make it right they could've offered for us to come back in, but no that would be taking responsibility instead they tell us, they don't deserve my one star review? They've never been open in eight years? Why would I know that? Why would I know that you've never been open in eight years and why would you treat your possible customer so bad? I will never come to your place! I belong to a lot of networking groups and I will make sure that to tell them to never come as well. Thank you for your lack of sensitivity and your lack of concern for our experience with your restaurant. Any company that does not take responsibility and just blames everybody else ultimately has a lot to learn about being in business and keeping client tell. By the way, you have the same problem on Google and I'm not the only person who wrote a bad review there. Original review We booked a reservation for this restaurant for Christmas Christmas Day at 5 PM. Arrived to the restaurant and they were closed. We were left trying to find a place that not only was open but still had a reservation. So incredibly frustrating. If you're going to use social media, yelp, Google maps, etc. you need to make sure to turn off your reservation systems when you're closed. You really screwed up our Christmas! Now today, their message system is inviting us to secure another reservation. Are you kidding me? I've never been to your restaurant before, and I will tell you this experience has left me never wanting to go there again.

    Yes we are. Tuesday-Sunday

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the hype. Service was the main issue. The bartenders seemed inexperienced, and our server wasn't familiar with the drinks, often needing to check with someone else. It took about 20 minutes to receive our first round. Our reservation was at 10:30, we were seated until 10:40, and the place closes at midnight so timing already felt tight. Because of the wait, we asked to order two drinks at once for the next round, but were told it's limited to one at a time. That would be understandable if service were faster, but it took another 20 minutes to get the second drink. We were also told drinks from the regular menu take longer, so I tried one from the specialty menu...still a 20-minute wait. It was a frustrating experience. That said, the space itself is smaller and more intimate, which could make it a nice date spot. I do think this place has potential, and I'd consider giving it another chance, hopefully with smoother service next time. Oh Beignets were amazing!! Yummy little donuts!

When we walked into this speakeasy, behind a movable shelf, I was greatly disappointed by the size of this place. It literally was the size of a walk in closet. Probably a fifth of the size of the one in Rancho. The room was so small and cramped. We sat at the round tables which was small for 2 people, and they were spaced so close to each other. Another couple sat next to us and we could here their entire conversation. The space is just so cramped. Maybe 6 round tables with barely a foot apart. Then the bar top basically when someone is sitting there, theres less then a foot of space to go inbetween. The decor is beautiful. I did enjoy the library theme. Service here is a disappointment. There was inly 2 groups (including ourselves) when we arrived and service was excessively slow. On their featured cocktails which was the same as the one in Rancho (6 drinks?), they were already out of the first 2. And mind you, they've only been open for 2 hours. We asked them to prepare unique off the menu drinks. They basically gave us drinks from the main restaurant menu. Rum for the hills and an old fashion. The bartender at the Rancho location is so much better and nicer and way more creative. Able to create unique individual drinks off the top of his head. Not here though. She asked us what we were ordering at least times. And she still got our orders (food) wrong. The glass was sticky from the sugars. We ordered no grilled onions on the burger and it came with grilled onions. She was so unsure of what they carried (alcohol wise) that she had to go ask the other guy on multiple occasions. When the bill came, we didnt get a pen to sign it with. So we went to the bar area. The guy was a total A-hole. He was like what do you want? Woah guy. We're trying to give you more of our hard earned money via tip and sign this check so we can get the heck out of here. Like chill bro. We should be there ones angry with how bad the evening went. Not you. There were multiple flies flying around our table and food. A large fly, and then a small gnat around our drink. It was gross. Overall, it was a terrible experience here. There was mystique (I give you that, love the books). But nothing high end or exclusive about it. Usage of the space and their knowledge of the drinks reminds me of a run down dive bar. They need the bartender from Rancho to come here and revamp everything about this place. The only good thing here is that we were able to order burgers (full menu availability) in this speakeasy as suppose to the one in Victoria Gardens. But besides that, I am 100% not coming back. It just isnt worth it.

This is for Sunday brunch. Ordered the bottomless mimosa and was provided a whole bottle of…read morechampagne and a glass of pineapple (requested) juice. It was great to be able to refill as I wanted but kinda awkward to pour without making a mess at the table. Perhaps they could change to a carafe style in the future. My friend ordered a wrap which was huge! And the sweet potato fries were to die for! My steak focaccia sandwich left me wanting. There was maybe two oz of steak, not cut well, and the garlic Parmesan fries just didn't hit. Not bad but also I've had better. Service was prompt and friendly.

They have karaoke here on Wednesday's and Sunday's, which is a lot of fun. Usually I get to sing a few times, not just once, but does depend on how busy it is. Last Wednesday I got to sing three or four songs which was great! On Thursday's listening to the open mic night singers and bands is super fun. I'm not a fan of the comedians, but I just tune them out when they go up and wait for the next singer. It's easy to either order a white claw or a bottle of bubbles with oj when I'm here. Bottles here are a bit pricy, $30 for a super cheap bottle of bubbles (like 6 bucks in the store - just google Wycliff Brut), but on Wednesday's for karaoke they usually have half price bottles which is a pretty good deal if you plan to stay for karaoke. I've gotten the house salad and the cali sliders. Both were fine, not amazing, but good. I really wanted to try the duck fat chicken wings but they've been out every time I've come and this time didn't even see them on the menu anymore! I'll prob try more food around happy hour sometime since they have some pretty good happy hour deals. Service is always nice too, and I never have a problem ordering a drink. They're pretty good about leaving you alone once you have everything too - which I love as an introvert. This place is also very dog friendly and my pup is welcome here. Def come here more for dog friendly karaoke and bubbles/white claw!

I was there with my family and all the TVs were on different sports everything from hockey to Bull Riding and some MMA fights. My family and I are all practicing martial artists. I've been training 25+ years so naturally the sport we were interested in were the fights. One by one each TV that had the fights was changed to hockey. I asked my server about it and could he change one of the smaller TVs that I could see back to the fight. He left, came back and was told by his manager this was a family establishment. I'm not one to make a scene so I finished my meal, tipped my sever well as I do when they deserve it and I left a review stating my grievance on the tablet at the table as I paid my bill. The idea of it's a family establishment is bogus. I'm literally there with my family and every one of us trains BJJ and I myself train BJJ and judo and have had multiple professional fights in my younger years. My kids know this, and sometimes pull me up on YouTube to watch "Daddy fight" there's nothing virtuous about excluding one family because the unrealistic idea that another family might be offended. I was very disappointed and will not be back because I am a man of principle. I guess me and my family are just barbarians how dare we enjoy pugilistic contest. I spent a significant portion of my hard earned money to take my family there. Gas is $6 a gallon and everything is expensive, finneys needs to appreciate every customer that spends their hard earned money in their establishment. I will not be back. There are plenty of other places in town.
