We met some family here on our way out of town and we really enjoyed it. We were greeted and seated right away, which was a plus, and since there was quite a few of us, they put us in a more secluded back area where we could chat and hang out and my nieces toddler could get some running around without bother bothering anyone. There are plenty of TVs to watch which is a plus if you love sports, etc. I opted for some fish tacos that came with a side of rice and beans. My husband ordered a sandwich. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer as well as another couple of items. I can't remember off the top of my head this go around. I just opted for water while others ordered some beer as well as sodas prices are pretty fair and portions were good size. My tacos were great, but the beans were quite dry and I honestly didn't try the rice cause I was pretty full off of the tacos. Service was good. I don't have any complaints and parking was easy. Plenty of street parking nearby. Vibe is definitely sports bar and OK for family

Darbys is best for the good TVs they have inside! Lots around the bar & in the dining room. A great place to watch sports. Vibes are good. Place is clean & they have a decent happy hour. The food is decent, nothing great but not horrible either. Bar food. Service is good but every time I've been, they've needed more.

Duuuuuuuude *facepalm* ***Disappointment ***Inconsistency The only word that continues to come up is so disappointed. And the catch is, last time we were here (Nov10) the burger was so fire. Let me start from the beginning. When we came back in November we ordered the pulled pork and a burger along with drinks and the Irish Nachos. The appetizer was fire, the burger was delicious, literally the patty melting in my mouth. The pulled pork sandwich on the other hand has to be sent back because it was too salty. I think their orange sauce had an error. Like they put salt instead of sugar when they were making it because it was that salty. Other than that everything was fine and I was gonna put 4 stars **** on my review. AMAZING service, great feel, and totally fun atmosphere. We came back this Friday. About a month apart from last time. Since the burgers were so good we thought that was the preferred pick. My husband got the chimi spicy burger and I got the darbinator, our pick from last time. Idk if their product distributor changed, or hasn't arrived and they went to their mystery meat and bread because we were sooooo surprised and NOT in a good way. Bread on BOTH burgers was stale and dry. It literally crumbled and we took a bite. The square meat patties weren't even seasoned. They felt like they had been frozen and microwaved. Let's just say my medium rare was fully cooked, and not on the stove. The only reason they get 2 stars is because the regular nachos we got this time were good, and service keeps being great. Two burgers gone to waste. We literally left all our food. We learned our lesson. Don't come here for dinner. Maybe appetizers and drinks.

On my last visit here the security guard asked my age almost apologetically before allowing me entrance, saying he had to ask. He did not seek any written proof of age afterward, probably because my white hair was ample confirmation of adult status. I would have been flattered if the reason for the inquiry had been based on a suspicion that my physical appearance indicated that I might not be 21. But, alas that did not occur. Bacon Wrapped Shrimp was again a superb starter, with really plump and hot shrimps. And, Classic Chili with Kidney Beans was also hot and excellent. Then I moved on to an Ancho Pulled Pork Sandwich wtih Onion Rings that were good and crunchy but varied widely in size. And I only detected a slight barbecue flavor in the pulled pork. Meanwhile, Diane again enjoyed her Orange Street Fish & Chips with French Fries. We received fine service amid a festive atmosphere of happy cantina goers mostly in their 20s. Demographically we looked out of place, but didn't really care. Most important to us here as elsewhere are the quality and variety of food served. And we both really like tavern food done right.

Been here a few times. Always sit at the bar cause it can be a little packed in here. Today I got the fish tacos and they did not disappoint. Pretty yummy!! The sauce was really good. I'll say, I wish it had more fish on it.

We came in after work and were seated immediately. They have happy hour specials after 9pm til closing so we took advantage of the $8 menu. For dinner, we ordered the spicy chimi burger with fries and the chicken pesto sandwich with onion rings. Split between two people it was a very filling dinner. The ambiance wasn't too loud on a Sunday night and the service was quick and attentive. Darby's made for a nice cap to our evening.

Delicious patty melt and onion rings

This is my first time at Darby's and I enjoyed the experience thoroughly. It's a sports bar with many screens and decent music playing. The help is friendly and professional. The food came out in a timely manner. I had the patty melt, which was delicious. They added a fried egg and avocado, which added some extra taste to the already flavorful hamburger. I definitely recommend this place and plan on returning soon I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed in the food

We seated ourselves at our favorite raised table in the corner on the far side of the bar. My husband and I stuck to traditional cocktails, and old fashioned and a Negroni. Our friends chose signature cocktails: the Turbo Granny and the Electric Feel. Now the Electric Feel was not just a drink, it was an experience. Our server explained to our friend that he should sip a little of the drink, then chew the Szechuan buzz bud for about 15 seconds, letting it coat his whole tongue, then enjoy the rest of the drink which would taste different afterwards. Our friend went through all those steps and said it was incredible, like all the flavors were enhanced along with different sensations in his mouth, kind of numb and tingly. His wife was not satisfied with his description of the experience, so she bought a Szechuan buzz bud for $2 and she said it was kind of like pop rocks. These buzz bud looks just like a little flower bud like the end of a dandelion once the seeds are blown away. It comes from a plant. Totally fascinating! We enjoyed our one cocktail each here and just had great conversation. It was a fun night because of the company, and also because we had a little adventure going to two amazing places!

We decided on weekend brunch, especially since there were endless mimosas. Our kids have a recollection of being down the class umbrella alleyway, so they were amazed when they saw it. A short while later, we were in front of the restaurant and were quickly seated by the staff. They didn't ask if we preferred outdoor or indoor seating, but we were seated inside right next to the kitchen. We heard that indoor seating was better for service anyway. The interior of the restaurant was "very fancy," and my daughter thought we were in a date spot. We knew we wanted French fries and opted for the garlic Parmesan fries. At first, the kids were weirded out by the arugula, but my daughter ended up enjoying it, noting the bitter and salty notes. My son devoured the entire plate (not the arugula) and asked for another round. We also ordered the lemon ricotta French toast, made from Brioche bread, lemon blackberry butter, whipped lemon ricotta cream, blackberries, mint, and maple syrup. They perfected the crispy exterior, which contrasted well with the fluffy bread. My wife ordered the breakfast pizza--a focaccia pizza topped with marinara, ham, spinach, fresh tomato, red onion, a sunny-side-up egg, and herb-infused maple syrup. This was really delicious with the tart, fresh tomatoes, the salty ham, and the sweet maple syrup. I ended up eating the sunny-side egg by itself, so we didn't get to try the pizza with the egg. Lastly, I ordered the steak and eggs, but it was sadly a small portion. I ordered it medium rare, and it came out medium. The seasoning was a bit strange and would have been better with simple salt, pepper, and garlic. The mimomas really made my wife happy. She started feeling it pretty quickly. She chose the pineapple juice while I got the traditional orange. Not sure if the alcohol made the food better or the other way around. I was brought to reality when I saw the expensive bill, though.

It's a perfect place for a date or a night out with friends or family. The focal point of the main dining room is the bar, which faces the restaurant's entrance. Meticulously designed with a nostalgic feel, the bar features blonde wood shelves holding hundreds of vinyl records, carefully curated design objects, and a DJ booth neatly tucked into a corner next to the bar. The beer taps are elegantly minimalist, and every detail in the bar--for example, the old-fashioned glass syrup bottles--seems planned to give a nod to history (specifically the late 19th century, when Redlands was founded). The main dining room offers plenty of comfortable seating choices, including a long bar along the center of the room. The patio is spacious and well kept. All of the spaces inside and out have music piped in from the bar. There are two restrooms just off the patio, and these are well-maintained. On busy nights, patrons can enjoy a drink in a standing bar area just off the patio. I love that the Overland provides a choice of setting depending on the kind of night you're planning. A romantic date? Get a reservation to sit inside, and it feels intimate. Just hanging out? The bar is fun as the mixologists make excellent drinks and friendly conversation. Sitting at the bar after 7 PM, you can watch the DJs spin the platters. If you have a larger group or just like to eat alfresco, the patio is perfect. The menu offers a really nice variety of drinks, including the pricier craft cocktails, more classic, moderately priced beverages, nonalcoholic drinks, and all sorts of beer and wine. The food menu is solid, with plenty of appetizers, salads, entrées, and a dessert. The real star is the tacos! These are very moderately priced at seven dollars apiece, and all three varieties are delicious! There is a potato taco, a beef taco, and pork chili Verde taco. I highly recommend these! The green salsa they provide is extremely mild, but they do have a variety of hot sauces on hand. It's worth mentioning that even a humble plate of tacos is served on nice ceramic dishes, along with good flatware and napkins. The espresso martini cheesecake is creamy and delicious, and the portion is really generous. The staff seem to enjoy working at the Overland. The servers work hard to make sure your order is to your liking, and food comes out pretty fast. There's a good sense of teamwork among them. The staff is also accommodating about seating or any special requests. We've been there on a busy Friday night, and on a Sunday evening and late night. The Overland is always at least moderately busy, so reservations are strongly recommended. The city of Redlands should be very proud of this establishment. Go and have fun!

We made reservations for four, and as soon as we arrived, we were seated right away, which was a great start. Unfortunately, I noticed a few cleanliness issues almost immediately. The tables were pretty dusty, and the glass water cups we were given still had food residue on them. One even had what looked like a lipstick mark on the rim. I let our waitress know, and she apologized and quickly brought us new glasses. Those were still dirty as well, with (food residue) so I asked if she could replace them again. After the third attempt, the glasses finally came out spotless. It seemed like there may have been an issue with the dishwasher filter?, but I really appreciated how kind and apologetic our waitress was throughout the entire situation. The drinks were good overall. I ordered a couple of nonalcoholic drinks, and they were refreshing and flavorful. We also tried the cheese fries and the fried onion, and both were really tasty. Overall, I'd give this place a 6/10. The rough start with the cleanliness definitely affected the experience, but the service helped make up for it. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making things right, and that went a long way. I absolutely loved the vibe and the music, and I think this place has a lot of potential. I'd definitely be willing to give it another try because I think it could be a great spot for a fun night out.
