This place is just a chill environment to enjoy a few drinks and if here on the right now to listen to some amazing live bands. What I love about this place is that there is such a diverse group some regulars and some not but it doesn't matter the staff are always friendly and helpful. Well I will start with I went on a Sunday around Noon. First. Sign on front door "no one under 21" I walk in and there are 4 little kids running around the pool table. I guess it was bring your kids to work day. Next. Sat at bar. Only person at bar. One of the few in the place actually. Waited. Waited. Waited. After about 10-12 mins I was about to leave and the bartender finally ask if she can get me something. I guess her Starbucks was more important. Order a draft. After trying unsuccessfully to pour draft she gives up and offers a bottle. Ok. Whatever. Next. I ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich. Tip to the chef. If you are going to nuke frozen buffalo chicken breast patty from Costco at least nuke them all the way and don't advertise it as Nashville Hot Chicken, that is a cooking technique not a microwaved frozen patty. Ask "for another beer when you get a min" sure. She brings me one and grabs my other one and throws it away. It was half full. After waiting about 15 mins for food she comes back and says "the kitchen is backed up" seriously there are 7 people in the place. Including the 4 kids. I'm hoping i just hit at a low staff time. Few TVs around. Line dancing and live music in the back. Might try again but wasn't all that impressed. read more

All I'm going to say is make sure you're not double tipping! I went this past Friday with a big group. Rented the "speakeasy room" what they dont tell you is they add $12 to your tab for being in that room. Then add multiple other charges. Their own tip was added ($18+) which was labeled as another "fee" and still asked for a tip at the bottom. Totaling $141 and some change for 4 drinks, two shots, and chicken stripes with fries before tip. This happens far too often here. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

**ETA: Saw a response to a recent review that mentioned the lack of diversity in the jukebox selection and the bar stated that it's a "country bar" with, presumably, country music. Fair enough - except we were able to find Sublime, Alanis Morissette, and Green Day to play which, last I checked, was alternative music. My husband and I came in to get a drink and the drinks were just fine. My issue came with how little attention we were paid. She ignored us the rest of the time and opted to talk to anyone else BUT us, including to take shots with other parties. It would've been cool to at least get a "You guys good?" once but meh. When we were ready to go, we asked for the check and she walked to the cash register without looking at us (I did hear her say, "For sure" from a distance) and she seemed confused that she had taken my husband's card earlier and never given it back. He told her he gave it to her and she asked skeptically "Are you sure?" He confirmed and stated his last name and she looked hesitant, so he took his ID out to reassure the whole thing. She gave us the card back without even looking at us. We definitely felt unwelcolmed, which sucks because we love dive bars and usually tip very well at these spots but this felt different and I can't pinpoint why - other than the fact that their jukebox had NO black artists approved for song selections. Very disappointed in this business and sad for Redlands. Went here with my husband and friends on a busy night. My husband and friends are African American and I honestly felt like we were back in the 1940s in the Deep South. I am white and could feel the tension and uncomfortable feeling in the room. We decided to leave and as we were leaving these white men in a truck drove by us and screamed "I hate black people" "White supremacy!!" Confirming what we were feeling inside the establishment. We used to love coming to whiskeys and they keep cutting the juke box off seems like no matter what time we go I've lost money cuz they cut it off even after I've sent music. I've kind been to Whiskey Republic many times. We always had fun there. The energy and vibes are so lively. They now have single nights which runs every first Thursday of the month. I guess it's $10/pp to participate and $35/pp if you want a package deal which includes a participation fee/a drink and something else which I don't remember what he said. Couldn't hear. Loved their southern bbq plates which comes with sides. Their make and cheese is so delicious. I've also had their garlic fries so delicious. I've had their burgers too delicious. I think everything on the menu is pretty good. I like their drinks too. My favorite from there is spicy margaritas. Their services is usually pretty good. But I've been there and sometimes it takes them awhile to get our orders in. Of course that's sometimes when they are busy. I love the music and sometimes they have DJ and dancing that's always fun. read more

Today was my second time here. I loved it the first time, but today confirmed that service here is always on point! Mary, the daytime bartender, served me both times. She is very attentive, accommodating, and will be there when your drink is running low. I have no doubt that everyone is just as great but I play favorites and will be back for her! My first experience at Whiskey republic was maybe about 3 months ago, it wasn't terrible but it was a bit uncomfortable. One of the bartenders was rude when I asked her for a recommendation she almost seemed offended and upset that I asked. (I don't drink much and tbh I don't know my alcohol very well lol). The rest of the night was okay and I also got complimented by some girlies in the bathroom. I decided to come here to share my experience so maybe business management can maybe improve in some way. I went back to whiskey republic this past weekend to give it a second try and see if it could be a regular place I could go to. I LOVE country music and so does my fam so naturally I gravitate toward whiskey bars. With that being said, I don't doubt that the bartenders are great women, their manager keeps them for a reason, maybe they bring in business, or have regulars, or family that comes back to see them BUT this was the second time I had come in where I had bad experiences with the bar tenders and now this time the customers that were there as regulars. I came in excited to be there and smiley, a bit tipsy because I had just come from Tartan but very coherent. I saw and empty chair at the bar area and walked toward it, as I started to pull the chair out to sit, a man that was at least 2-3x my size yells at me in the meanest tone and pulls the chair so hard that it made my wrist hurt, He tells me "YOURE TRYING TO STEAL MY WIFES FUCKING CHAIR" I couldn't really hear him and honestly with the way he reacted I felt shocked so I leaned in and said "I'm sorry what was that?" And he said "YOU'RE TRYING TO STEAL MY WIFES FUCKING CHAIR DONT YOU SEE HER STUFF !!!!?" I calmly said "I'm sorry no I didn't see her stuff on the counter (a small lipgloss and a card), all I saw was an empty chair" he rolled his eyes and condescendingly said "YEA RIGHT!" I could not believe how I had just gotten spoken to, and the way the chair got pulled from my hand. While we were signing the receipt, one of the bartenders who clearly knew this man either as a regular or a family member was talking to him and said she was so angry that she saw that happen and insinuating how she thought she was "about to clock out", basically saying how she wanted to fight me for that. It was the most uncomfortable I have ever felt in my life in a public space like that. And they were talking about me right as I was signing my receipt on the bar so loudly. It was a horrible horrible experience and it actually pushed me into a panic attack (no one's fault that I'm that sensitive) but I had never been spoken to by a man double my age like that ever in my life and on top of that, I had never been publicly humiliated by workers of an establishment before. I'm 28 and this man looked like he was maybe in his late 40s so it was extremely uncomfortable and I ended up leaving in tears not even 10 minutes after walking in. I said thank you on the way out, I'm never rude to the workers. The bartenders encouraging the behavior was even worse because it made me feel unsafe. He seriously got so angry over the chair it looked like he wanted to hit me. Which was strange to witness because I have never seen a grown man get this upset over a chair. Like just lean in and say "hey miss im sorry my wife is sitting there" no problem, so sorry for the trouble and I'll move ya know ? Anyways, I will not be visiting whiskey republic ever again, I'm hoping I could find a nice lil whiskey bar to enjoy that's local and serves some custom drinks, but yea ladies just be careful here, don't be taking no empty chairs! read more
