Because I'm starting this review at the beginning of the meal so I will be sure to document it as it progresses for your enjoyment dear reader. Well, some time has passed, and that lofty goal has already been abandoned. Because I devoured the bread service before I had a chance to take a picture of it. I've got to do better. The bread service is absolutely worth it. I do not know what is going on with that dipping sauce, but it is spicy and exquisite. I also did not take a picture of my Mojito but should have. It is a classic Mojito prepared exactly as I remember it from those long ago days in Puerto Rico, where I first sampled this sumptuous libation. Time has passed. Oh my God! The size of the steak! We came for tomahawk Tuesday tonight. That's when you can get an entire tomahawk steak for $109 instead of $139, which makes it about 30% more delicious. Anyway, in order to take a picture of this tomahawk steak I had to zoom out on my iPhone! Because they're just so big I could not fit it in the frame! I ordered mine medium rare and sliced for two, so my lady can share in the enjoyment. Perfection. No notes. The truffle fries are the best I've had anywhere. And they are abundant. A must have. I have to say, this has been one of the best meals of my life to rival Gibsons in Chicago. But what this location lacks in views it makes up for in every other way. Especially the service, which is top-notch. Oh, and did I mention they have complementary valet? This is starting to sound like I was paid to write this review. I was not. But I will gladly accept free Mojitos in the future. Should the right person happened to read this. For we will be back, and often.

St. Petersburg, Florida…read more This restaurant is inside the Marriott Hotel Clear Water. The atmosphere is nice. Rich earth tones, dark wood, with reddish/orange achair and stool padding. There was soft music playing that was easy to listen to. Some restaurants play there music too The restaurant has a nice bar with a decent selection of wines, beer, and liquor. I had the Whiskey Ginger (Bulliet and ginger ale), it was good. I ordered an 8 piece BBQ chicken wing appetizer. Very good. Tasty, piping hot, and came out quickly. My server was prompt and gave me plenty of time to select my meal. I did not feel rushed. For my main course I had the Marriott burger. An 8 oz burger with bacon, lettuce, and tomato. I had the fries for my side. The burger was just okay. Nothing to write home about. The meat tasted char grilled, but maybe just a bit strong on the char flavor, and also a bit dry. It was cooked medium as I requested and hot. The bun was grocery store quality. The fries were hot, but had some type of coating on them. They were okay, but I prefer regular crinkle cut or straight cut fries without a coating. Overall I give this place a 3. I was just satisfied, not disappointed though. When traveling and needing food and if you don't feel like leaving the hotel it's a decent place to eat. But if you are up to it I suggest venturing out and checking out some of the other restaurants in the area.

Amazing neighborhood liquor store…read more I remember a time when I would have to plan a trip to buy bottles of alcohol. Sketchy stores scare me, so large retail wine and spirit shops were my go-to. This would result in twenty-minute trips over to Tampa (forty minutes round trip not counting the time spent in the actual store). It was as if my prayers were answered when this place opened. Also, I considered it supporting a local business, not fueling my alcoholism, which makes it a win-win. I don't cook. This means that whenever my friends have a get-together, I'm always in charge of bringing a drink. Therefore, at one point during football season, I was buying a handle of [insert gin, tequila, vodka] at least once a month so I could whip up some complex cocktail (we're talking hand squeezing fresh limes and pureeing watermelon. We aren't in college anymore). Even though this isn't the largest store, Feather Sound Liquor Store stocks all my cocktail needs. You won't be getting your mixers here (unless it is basic orange juice), but you'll be able to find all your liquors! The people here are super friendly. It really does feel like a neighborhood store. I had to bring wine to a blind wine tasting party - wine is not my forte. The woman who works there (and who is almost always there every time I go), helped me pick out a wine. My wine was deemed the favorite at the party! Additionally, the next time I stopped by, the woman asked me about the party! Customer service at its best. This place is clean, bright, and friendly. Shop local and come here!

Lunch was great, they had some nice specials! I had the Italian beef, which was excellent on Turano rolls. I'm from Chicago, and I have a relative who works for Turano. So I'm partial to those buns/bread. Side of sweet peppers which were tasty. Also enjoyed jalopeno poppers which were excellent. The wife had the Buffalo Chicken pizza which I tried and enjoyed immensely. Service was good, but the girl who waited on us was working the bar as well. We chose to sit at the bar, figuring we'd get better service than we did but she was kind of busy but did a nice job. I guess they don't bring in waitresses till later in the day, I don't know. Food was great! we enjoyed a couple pitchers of beer as well. Really happy with this place. A lot of the locals are former transplants from Chicago we know a few in the area but weren't able to get a hold of them when we were down here, but they use this bar as a meeting place for Cubs, Bears, and probably a little bit Blackhawks. Very nice!! No White Sox fans. Definitely will return next season and enjoyed it . Parking is a little bit tight down here, is they're in a shopping center but they do have a large gathering room outside the bar in main seating area which I'm sure a lot of people fill up completely at at night. Good arrangement, and the owners are supposed to be from Chicago and they are doing a great job of replicating Chicago, I felt at home here. My only remorse is: that my place is not close to here, it's a bit of a ride, so it will limit my visiting. That's OK,we'll still show up from time to time next year. If you're thinking about coming here, they do at the Chicago Way... so definitely just pop on in,and enjoy yourself !

Service was slow (not crowded) and our Large pizza was literally a small pizza. Never, in Chicago, would a large pizza be that small. Fine, we take it. It was so bad. We'll get our Chicago za in Chicago and stick with NY style pizza while in Florida.
