If you just want to look like you're active, then by all means snatch up the latest Nike sneakers, North Face gear and pro sports merchandise but if you actually participate in a sport, the selection is lacking. I wanted to look at a Garmin for timing instead of using my iPhone on a run. I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before walking away. Neither of the sales girls would break from their conversation about their weekend plans to assist me. Very poor customer service. I needed a hydration belt and a knee strap for my half marathon. No one in that store had a clue as to what I was talking about. I found a limited selection of hydration and fuel belts in the running shoe department. The guy manning the shoe department was a little lost as to what exactly I meant when I questioned him about the hydration belt being easy to use and withstanding a 13 mile run. Ok fine. I was then directed across the store for a knee strap which was "somewhere around that basketball hoop." It wasn't; it was way over by the softball and baseball gear, but whatever. The selection was poor. No athletic tape, very random sizes and almost all of the knee products were out or in sizes of XL-XXL. Very disappointing. And finally, when I went to check out, I was accused of shoplifting GU energy gels because I picked two up, put one back and carried the other to the register. The idiotic checkout girl with an overly annoying lisp asked where the other GU was. When I told her it was back on the shelf, she called for her manager who called security to look at my purse. Really? All that for $1.79 of energy gel which was NO WHERE in my purse? Never again. To be treated poorly in a store with poor customer service, inept help and products that are never in stock, I'll pass. I'll make the trips to Fleet Feet in West Hartford or Woodbridge Running Company for my running needs and where I won't be accused of shoplifting.

Prices are right where they should be, especially considering it is in a mall right off of the highway. Employees try to sneak in the "rewards card speech", but it is a credit card so unless you shop there frequently say no thank you. $300 for each reward last time I checked. It is always clean in there and I always find what I am looking for. Everything is very organized. Parking is great. There is a dedicated ramp right outside the building. This place is a must for any fitness nut or camper who lives in the area.

This target is great!!!…read more unless you want to be able walk down aisles that aren't blocked by them putting shipments away at 12pm Or Get food that won't go bad within 1 day Or Have expiration dates on meat (I've never seen this before at a grocery store, even the employee I asked thought it was wild) Two days ago I ordered valentines for my sons school and they gave me an open box with half missing lol. Today my pick up order had rotten peppers and bananas in it. I shopped at the north haven target once a week when I lived in New Haven. Since moving every other time I go to the Meriden target I ask myself why. Save yourself and go spend more at stop and shop for groceries, at least they won't be rotten the very next day.

They will make sure you are properly fit & will teach you how to wear the shoe properly. Great place to show kids (teen/tween) how to wear a properly fitting shoe. Also, you can order custom t-shirts, sweat shirts & team gear. They supply many of the area teams with team sweats & uniforms. The prices & quality are also very good! They usually have some great local team apparel in stock. Also, this store carries the quick pick ups you need like mouth guards, tape, socks & shoe care. They also carry Power Balance bands and Phiten. I'd rather shop here than any big box shop!

My three stars is based off my of my personal experience, I'm not accusing of every employee being…read morelike this. On January 3rd, my boyfriend and I went to this location the exchange the sneakers he bought me for Christmas for a different size. We walked in and approached the counter, where Ashley was doing some of her side duties. No hello, I'll be right with you, nothing. We stood there for about 3 minutes and she finally muttered I'll be with you in a second. She finally comes over to us about two minutes later and just looks at us. My boyfriend said we'd like to exchange these after an awkward stare down. She instantly snaps "you can't if they weren't worn" we tell her they weren't, we just need a different size. She says well we don't have them. We asked to have them ordered. She said yes and starts to go through the process. Another pair of shoppers walked in and were greeted kindly, the way I would greet my customers at my store and the way I expect to be greeted. She is looking confused which is really freaking me out. I just want my sneakers!! She finally asks a coworker to help her. He guides her through and completes the transaction. She hands us the receipt and walks away. Her coworker, who I don't have the name of, gave us the info she should have gave us. The order number, customer service number, etc. I would have much rather he helped us than her!! So now it's 10 days later and I haven't seen my sneakers. I was told 3-5 business days. I found the order receipt and realized she didn't put my address in right!! The last two numbers are no where near each other on the key board.. so I was confused. She was holding my ID to put all the info in so I'm not sure how she messed that up. I called customer service and my shoes have been sitting in a different locations store and no one has bothered to get in contact with us about this. I did call the manager of this location and he was appreciative and nice about it. I am giving 3 stars based on Ashley's poor customer service and failure to be careful when entering the info. I do understand that everyone has bad days, it happens, but this is just annoying at this point. I would have given two, but the extra star is for the manager who was very nice and understanding.
