Dr. Miller was very attentive and helped relieve my husband's eye pain. We highly recommend her.

I have been a patient of Dr. Miller since she opened her practice. My husband, my four children, and many other family members were/are patients, too. She is considered one of the best optometrists in Oregon and the country for good reason. Some have gone elsewhere and come back because she gets prescriptions right where other places do not. She is very thorough, communicates well, and has excellent staff. Her goal is simple: Help people see better to the best of her ability. And her ability is unmatched. Not good with children. Car salesman type feels. Switched to this clinic after my prior closed. Gave them 1 year of my business, today's visit will be my last. Dr Miller was very impatient with my son, not very organized and down right forceful. She failed to explain just about every step to me the parent, and more importantly, my kid. At one point Dr. Miller was forcefully opening my son's eyes to apply eyedrops. He was not having it, I was in shock myself witnessing it. Not the way to get a kid who is already on edge about how things are going to take eyedrops. She also failed to even tell us what the eyedrops were for. I pray the droppers are sanitized as she shoved them into his eye. After getting to sit in another room for the drops to work and relax after the dramatic experience we just faced, she painfully attempted to get my son's prescription again. Still seemingly annoyed that he is struggling to do his best with her unorganized methods of testing his vision. 1 hour and 15 minutes later she left the room, we get 0 instruction on whether we are done or not. Then we were walked over to the glasses area as if we already discussed that I was going to order glasses, which I wasn't and never agreed to. The lady there finally let me pay my copay and leave. I was told repetitively how bad ordering glasses online never work and only they can get his prescription right. Not to mention eye drops that may or may not work were also pitched to us. Totally felt like a car salesmen holding a potential buyer hostage until they cave and buy. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Olmschenk at Baseline Vision Clinic for a couple of years now. I don't think I've ever received such phenomenal eye care. Dr. O is very thorough, explains everything in detail, lets me know what future issues I may be facing that we need to watch out for, and always asks if I have any questions or concerns before we're done. I also had a TearCare System appointment, and definitely noticed an improvement in my dry eye issues. I have ordered a few pair of glasses in their optical department. Bailey is excellent at her job. I am horrible at picking out the correct frames for my face shape. Almost every pair of glasses that Bailey pulls from the rack for me is perfect for my face shape. She really has an "eye" for fitting people in just the right frames. She has also picked out some very nice frames for my husband. Baseline Vision has also been able to fit myself and my husband in for emergency eye checks. We always receive excellent care and are never rushed. read more

The Eye Gals at Baseline Vision Clinic have done it again - I just picked up my new glasses and I am thrilled with them ! The staff is always so friendly and the lady who fit my glasses was super helpful and d didn't rush me at all.Drs. Sarah and Joan did a terrific job with all the testing prior to my cataract surgery and all my post operative care. I am just so thankful to be able to see clearly again. I feel like I am in the best of hands with these wonderful Drs. Another Dr.referred for treatment of glaucoma but Dr. Miller found I did not have glaucoma and has been monitoring my eye pressure. They have all the advanced equipment needed to get a diagnosis and all of the education and experience a patient could need. They have been treating me for years now and I will never go anywhere else. read more

Very poor experience with their services and still ended up with glasses that didn't work for me...even after several tries. The first pair I got with them worked AFTER remaking the lenses. The second pair never worked...even after 3 tries...so I gave up. My insurance benefit is used up so now I have to wait until next year to get new lenses somewhere else. Two thumbs down. read more

I have been going to Baseline Vision Clinic for a long time, and Dr. Joan Miller is just absolutely the best. I've been with her for a long time, until I moved to California in 2014. That was a bad year for my eyes - I found a couple of places down in the Bay Area and the care difference was very clear; where as Dr. Miller was through, attentive and caring, my experience in the Bay Area was just the opposite. I guess I was just spoiled! Well, after a year or so, I decided that my eyes deserved better, and I'd work visits to Dr. Miller's office around the holidays, and now I'm back to being "spoiled!" I am continually impressed by how much care she puts into me - for example, after doing an eye exam and finding the right prescription, she'd bring me outside and have me look around outside to double check my vision! Lately, she's guided me through a laser eye surgery procedure to correct my vision, and she demonstrates time and again her wisdom and experience. For example, when we sat down together to decide the "target correction factor," she took my age and upcoming life experience into account, and brought me outside to see how being nearsighted by 0.25 diopters looked to me (she brought out lenses that would intentionally make me nearsighted). It turns out I can't tell the difference, and I will be thankful for being nearsighted by 0.25 diopters will be very good as I age into my 40s and 50s (in the next couple of decades) since my close up vision will start to get poor! Most eye doctors will not think so far in advance - by planning so far in advance, an unnoticeable change today will bring about much needed relief in the decades to come! My experience with Dr. Miller and her staff at BVC has been outstanding. They are professional, kind, and can handle difficult eye problems. I am a college student so I spend countless hours on the computer and in textbooks; I have relatively high near-sightedness and astigmatism in both eyes... I also have weird optic nerves and dry eyes... Not the easiest patient to please. But with lots of care and thorough attention, Dr. Miller was able to treat and monitor my eyes over the past year. Also, my new sync 8 glasses are the best glasses I have ever worn! Highly recommend not just for glasses, but for quality eye care. Also, their coffee is pretty good so say yes when they offer it. read more

I'm writing this review in hopes of others not having the same frustration, terrible service and overall incompetence this place gave me. This review is specific to their optical department. I simply needed to order a replacement pair of eyeglass frames there were under warranty, and have them put the lenses from the old frames into the new ones once they came in. Seemed simple enough but they screwed everything up from start to finish. They gave false promises about calling me when the frames came in (never called, I had to chase them down time and again) and turned what was supposed to be a 2-3 week process into something that lasted over 2 months and I still never got what I wanted. They left me hanging time and again, and I'd suggest to anyone wanting new or replacement glasses to be very aware of this. Then they couldn't get the lenses into the new frames, had to return them to manufacturer and somehow the frames got lost, and Baseline never informed me of this. I ended up having to call the manufacturer to get updates. Fortunately they were found, no thanks to Baseline. I contacted the manufacturer again to request that Baseline no longer be an authorized dealer for their products. Then they had the audacity to offer to send them to another lab to try and get them in, at my expense ($60 or something like that), with the caveat if they got damaged I was out of luck. While the staff was overall very nice and apologetic, I wouldn't let these knuckleheads anywhere near my glasses or eyes based on this experience. Of note, I took my frames and lenses to another vision provider in Hillsboro, who quickly, easily and cheerfully put them together, at no charge (even when I offered to pay them to do it). Needless to say they have all of the eye business for myself and my family now. read more

A big thank you to the staff at baseline vision clinic! Our 3yr old daughter is severely near sighted and would get very uncooperative every time we tried to get her eyes checked. We had tried unsuccessfully 4 times to get her fitted with glasses at multiple clinics. Dr Sarah and Dr Joan were very patient with our daughter, and took great care to make her feel comfortable and to gain her trust in order to complete the exam. It actually turned out to be a fun day for her! They even had a pair of loaner glasses on hand that we got to take home that day while her prescribed glasses were being made!
