Dr. Daniel Robison retired back in 2024. I was worried at first because he was such a great doctor, but Dr. Monghate, who took over the clinic, is phenomenal. He is thoughtful and genuinely cares about his patients. Our appointments are never rushed. He explains everything clearly as well as answers all my questions and concerns. His staff are wonderful too and how they have the office set-up is great. All of the tests are in one place that you just quickly roll to in an office chair. Everything is clean and I don't usually have to wait long in the waiting room. I'm so grateful to have Dr. Monghate as my doctor and couldn't recommend him more. read more

30 years ago Dan examined my eyes. He found a slight astigmatism and beautifully corrected. I was pregnant at the time, they were Godparents to my daughter Phoenix. I have made it a point to make sure my kids eye health was always good. This was due to the level of care and professionalism of Dan and Lynn. Their Goddaughter is an award winning author of a series of books, and the boy I had just finished his Masters in Theology with a concentration in Sacred Arts. There wasn't a day my husband and I didn't mention these 2 lovely people, wishing them much success and keeping in our prayers for their protection and guidance. read more

My 8 year old daughter was terrified of going to get her eyes checked. She was certain it was going to be scary, painful, dreadful, etc. We saw Dr. Robison and he greeted her so well that half her fears seemed to drop instantly. By the end of the exam, she was asking me when we could go back again! For me as a dad, that's a HUGE relief - knowing that my kids are at ease, treated well and kindly. Cascading eye care has been my eye doctor for several years. I have to get my eyes checked to be fitted for contacts each year. The staff is friendly and helpful and I trust Dr. Robinson. Personally I chose not to buy my glasses here, because the pricing is much higher than I would like to spend on glasses I only need very occasionally. I thought optometrists only treated vision problems. Boy was I wrong. I had been dealing with the feeling that something was in my eye for two days. It had become bothersome and a little painful. With an important presentation that afternoon, Dr. Robison squeezed me in that morning to get me better. He did a full comprehensive exam and spent about a half hour under my eyelids fishing around for whatever could be causing the problem. Unable to find anything, he told me that I likely had shingles and started me on antivirals. Because of my age and the odd presentation, he suggested I get a second opinion just to be safe. The second opinion came that afternoon at a walk-in clinic. They told me they had no idea what it was and that I should just take some painkillers, wait it out, and if symptoms worsen, seek another evaluation. Symptoms worsened quickly by the next morning so my third opinion came from the emergency room where the doctor told me "this definitely isn't shingles" and went searching for an aneurism or tumor with a CT scan along with running all of my blood/lab work. With all the results coming back negative, she called it a severe migraine and said there was no reason to continue with the antivirals (so I stopped). She did say I should have my eye looked at again by a "real expert that can do a much better exam and has access to better diagnostic equipment" so she sent me to an ophthalmologist the next day. The ophthalmologist did a fraction of the work that Dr. Robison did. I think his exam took under five minutes. He just repeated a couple of things that Dr. Robison had done and told me that "I can't tell you what it is but it definitely isn't shingles and that there's no reason to keep taking the antivirals." That evening, my eyelid, scalp, and face broke out in a blistery rash. Dr. Robison was right, it was shingles. Dr. Robison is a true primary care eye doctor capable of diagnosing and managing things far beyond vision problems. He was friendly, compassionate, very knowledgeable, and highly professional. And the experience doesn't end when you check out and leave the clinic. He has been there with followup phone-calls just to check in and see how things are progressing. I will refer everyone I know to him and if you are having problems with your eyes - or just need your vision checked - I highly recommend you seek out his care. read more

Just stopped in to get scratched lens replaced, doors locked during business hours. Closes at 5, door says 6. For a working person this place is inconvenient. I missed an appt. for frame selection they did not bother to call to reschedule. Wouldn't call my insurance either to verify benefits after doing that for me the first time I got glasses here. There is a bit of a drive (we live in outer southeast) and business is located just off I-5 near Bridgeport. However, the care we receive is worth the drive! I will not go back to this office. What I felt in this office was not a team of compassionate care providers but a group of business oriented individual that their act is offensive. I am not saying they were rude or disrespectful, but the way they look at you and talk to you seems they are just seeing $ sign all over you. I didn't feel they were compassionate caregivers but a bunch of salesperson, like when you go to Macy's and they want to spray you with perfume or you go to a buy a car and the sales person follows you around and ask for phone number. They are very organized and have a system for seeing patients that is organized and makes you feel as though the whole team are effective, efficient and know what they are doing.
