We were introduced to La Taqueria in 1999 as "heaven wrapped up in a tortilla." We were poor grad…read morestudents living in the Mission and ate here once a week. After all this time, this place still delivers and we were so happy to see their 2025 Michelin sticker. My go-to order is the super burrito, no beans, dorado grilled. Get the bottle of the green salsa for the table and squirt on each bite. Mmmm... it really is magical. So good. The strawberry Fresca is still refreshing and had fresh bits of fruit. We got there right at 11am and had a short wait. We enjoyed the live mariachi band. Street parking may take a few rounds, be patient. We will always stop by here anytime we are in SF. So glad it was stayed the same all of these years. Don't change a thing!

It didn't wow my socks off, but it was good and better, marginally better, not insanely better. I got a carnitas burrito with guacamole. They did not ask me what type of beans I want. I think they just gave me the default, which was fine. It worked. It tasted like a Mission burrito. I don't know how else to describe the taste. It was rich, salty in a good way, and tasted like a burrito should taste The line was around 30 minutes long for me on a Wednesday night, around 6:00 p.m. Everyone in line was very nice and was curious about the wait. It does move fast. However, I did order to go, so by the time I was three-quarters done with the line, I got to fast track to another window to just order to go. The food was made pretty quickly after I placed my order. They do take credit card

For two carne asada tacos and an al pastor quesadilla, they charged us $25. No idea what the cost breakdown is since they don't have a menu lol Service was prompt and friendly. They have pickled onions with sliced habaneros and a few different salsas. I like the red salsa, creamy green one (kinda spicy), and the creamy habanero (very spicy). The tacos were good. Pretty decent amount of meat. The quesadilla was also good with a decent ratio of cheese and meat. I thought the al pastor was missing that typical strong savory-sweet flavor though. They also added pineapple in the quesadilla. There are a lot of options in the area but this place is worth a try.

There's also a pickled veggie, radish, and lime bar along with 4 different (spicy af) sauces. Not sure which one was sooo spicy, I think maybe the white-ish one which is misleading haha. We came for the Al Pastor but was wowed by the Lengua. Asada quesadilla was also good, especially when you bite into a fatty piece of Carne with cartilage :D
