My friends and I went to have breakfast one morning after class. We're Hispanic so we were looking forward to our meal. We all ordered the chilaquiles, and they were good, don't get me wrong, but they were over priced for the portion, plus the order didn't not include rice and beans as it usually does elsewhere. But two others found that fried eggs were overcooked, that seasonings were lacking, and that a hot drink was served, barely warm. The second and most concerning thing is that this lady was going back and forth to the kitchen with a backpack and a little chihuahua dog on it. The waiter went out of his way to provide good service to my mom. She didn't bring her glasses, so he read the menu for her. She is also preparing for a colonoscopy and can't eat certain foods, so he prepared another plate after she said that she couldn't eat it, free of charge. Great service! Amazing food. My friend and I visited for breakfast on two occasions, since it's close by to us. Now it's one of our favorite places for breakfast or lunch. They have a wide variety of Latin dishes and a really nicely decorated indoor and outdoor setup. My favourite part of this cafe is eating on the outdoor patio. My second favourite part is the Mexican Mocha. But the food is also excellent. I've only ever eaten the breakfast/brunch options The plato tipico sounds quite simple but everything is done really well. I also like the chilaquiles. I haven't ventured farther down the menu because I like those enough I keep going back to them. It's a little bit pricier than your average place that serves burritos but not a whole lot, and this is more of a place for lunch on the patio, enjoying the atmosphere, than for quick takeout. What a cutie-patootie. This small casual spot quickly became a regular of mine. It's tucked away from the main drag and mostly only known to those living nearby. The restaurant has seating outside with heaters that I appreciate, and the inside is very quaint and cozy. Huevos rancheros were filling and delicious, very flavorful.
