New building is awesome. Too bad it's in a spot that doesn't provide a mtn view or something. The food is still high quality and the service is very attentive. You can't go wrong with this Chinese spot.

The new building is beautiful. You can tell a lot of work was put into it. The miso soup was delicious. Probably one of the best I've had. The crab Rangoon and fried rice were also great. I don't think I'll order the Mongolian beef from here again. It was thick compared to other Mongolian beef recipes and not as flavorful. My husband got the wagyu and honestly we aren't experts in wagyu but it just seemed like a regular NY strip. There wasn't any of the normal marbling you'd expect to see and it was much tougher than the wagyu we've had in the past. The server was kind so overall it was a good experience but we will probably reserve this as an every now and then as there are other similar restaurants that are more reasonably priced.

Another fantastic dish, we went for the Hot & Sour Soup our staple, we always get 2 large orders, but we were grabbing To Go and decided on the Mongolian Beef! Let me tell you best Mongolian Beef in Alaska we've ever had. For a snack in the car we nibbled on 2fried spring rolls. Tender succulent beef and perfect sauce with the onions and scallions! This place is the best Asian in Wasilla bar none for many items. You can always count on the quality and the taste is spot on!

Lovedddd everything we got! I had the Mongolian beef dinner special which came with a good portion of rice and 4 dumplings, all very tasty! The general tsao chicken with lo mein was flavorful together but the lo mein itself was plain. The hot and sour soup amazingg, highly recommend it. The decor was pretty nice and the staff were kind. I will be going back again for sure!

This is my go to Sushi place in the Valley, as well as their sister location in Eagle River. I see them as Asian Fusion, Thai and Sushi with several classic and well recognized pan-Asian dishes. The service is fast and friendly making this an ideal lunch spot if you're on a tight schedule or a leisurely meal as you will it be pushed out the door. Clean! It's always clean The Sushi and Sashimi is fresh and well prepared and served beautifully. Pro Tips: I'm not a fan of the Pad Thai And Monkey Brains are delicious but feel free to order with just the spicy tuna and hold the imitation crab FYI their new location, just 100 yards from their current location, should be open next year.

Monkey Brain. Don't let the name turn you off. It's an avocado bomb of deeelish.

I've been here multiple times, enough to have tried at least 50 percent of the menu, which is relatively unchanging (and glad for that, because it's good!). I have whittled my preferences down to a couple of servings of maguro, with hot green tea. Then a Monkey Brain, sometimes with a house roll. They are proud of what they serve (as they should be) so be prepared to spend a bit of green. Reservations are not required but the wait is usually short. While the faces of the service team change frequently, they are always polite and attentive. Looking forward to enjoying dining in their tripled-in-size new location, just a few steps away.....still under construction at the time of this review.

Came here with my husband after passing it many times. The inside was pretty and welcoming with gorgeous paintings of Asia! We were seated immediately and serviced super fast. Everything came out insanely fast and the food was pipping hot! It was great! We ordered egg rolls, sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken. All of it tasted great and well made. The portions were also much larger than we expected so I'm glad I didn't order a side of soup or salad. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Although, there was a young girl who looked like Wednesday Adam's that was running food; she was stomping around so loudly you could hear her moving around in the kitchen area from the front sitting room and feel the whole floor bouncing around. It was incredibly distracting. She also was throwing the plates of food and on the tables very abruptly. I'm sure she was just super busy but it was wild. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Great Asian food, especially on a cold windy day! Will absolutely return!

The food was delicious, for how tasty the food was the service was super fast! Awesome Japanese themed artwork and very clean.

First off, the new building is GORGEOUS. After a little issue with our drinks, the staff came back with full force 110% great service! The food was beautiful and delicious, not to mention so quick from order to table! Thank you guys for everything, you made our night better than you know!

We stopped for lunch driving between Talkeetna and Seward. It was amazing! The sushi was some of the best we've ever had. The staff and service were wonderful and so friendly. Highly recommend and would definitely be a regular if we lived in Wasilla.

    My tasty Thai tea

Very nice ambiance, and attentive staff. I was eating alone following an appointment, and was offered a seat at the sushi bar, or booth. I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed a Thai tea. Loved the tall glass and the cute straw that had a swirl in the top, and it was delicious! I went with a side order of dumplings, and the crunch roll as my main entree. Was all very yummy and really hit the spot.

My sister and I have celiac disease and this is the only place in the valley we trust to make us truly safe gluten free food. An added bonus is that it is delicious. The staff is always super nice. I've never had a bad experience here.

We have never had anything we haven't liked here. The portion sizes are good and service is fairly quick. When we tried delivery, it was a 45 minute wait and only $3 delivery charge. First, I waited 15 minutes just to be acknowledged and given a menu. Throughout my wait, the staff in the back were speaking very loudly in a foreign language; it sounded like a heated argument, which made for a very uncomfortable atmosphere. When the soup finally arrived, it wasn't even served hot. The situation went from bad to worse when I noticed a live bug crawling on the plate that held my bean sprouts. Upon checking my soup, I saw several small black specks that looked like more bugs. Needless to say, I immediately stopped eating. When I brought this to the staff's attention at the counter and showed them photos, the response was dismissive. Instead of taking ownership, the employee tried to suggest the bug might have just flown onto the plate from the dining room, as if that makes having insects in the restaurant acceptable. To make matters worse, they still charged me for the meal. I am disgusted by the lack of hygiene and the poor customer service. I will never return, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this place.

It's the first little box you're probably gonna open and it's gonna make you mad. They're $10 for two eggrolls the size of your finger. They were unremarkable and should've been two dollars. I was ready to be pissed off about the rest of the food, but I was pleased. I got the chicken lo mein, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were the perfect consistency. The chicken was tender, and I was not expecting that, and the veggies were perfect. It was so freaking good. I was also ready for the sesame chicken to be meh. Or at least hurt my mouth. It was soft, perfect battered covering perfect amount of sauce. Perfect amount of sesame seeds. White rice doesn't always grab me and there were two big scoops in the container and it's the best rice I think I've ever had and it went really well with the chicken. And the last item was a roll that had tempura shrimp, crab, avocado, eel, and then your standard spicy mayo and EL sauce. It was outstanding. The only thing I didn't like was the prices. I understand they're inflated for Doordash. I also understand that Doordash provides consistent and constant business to these places and I still don't like the prices. They are comparable to every other place in town though so understand that if you're gonna blow some money on DoorDash and sushi at least get the good stuff at Jimmy's.

When we arrived, the parking lot was pretty small and seemed like it could fill up quickly during peak hours. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a table to be cleared before we could be seated. Once we sat down, I immediately noticed how sticky everything was! The table, the menus, and even the soy sauce (or "shoyu" for all my Hawai'i people) were noticeably sticky! The booth seats were also cracked. Luckily I was wearing long jeans so it didn't bother me too much. Normally, I don't mind a little noise, but the restaurant was extremely loud. Everyone around us seemed to be talking at full volume, to the point where we could hear entire conversations from other tables. It definitely took away from the overall dining experience and vibe. As for the service, it was underwhelming. Our drinks were never refilled, not even once, and we had to go without refills for the entire meal. I also noticed some of the staff eating behind the sushi bar while they were still working, which I found a little off-putting and unprofessional. We started with the garlic edamame, which was loaded with garlic, something I personally love. Unfortunately, the edamame itself was mushy and overcooked. We also ordered a shrimp tempura roll, combination fried rice, and a bulgogi bento. The shrimp tempura roll was decent and ended up being the best dish we ordered. The bulgogi bento, was VERY sweet, a little too sweet for my preference. The salad dressing wasn't anything particularly special, and the tempura was just okay. Overall, I really wanted to love this place, especially because I'm always on the hunt for good sushi outside of Hawai'i, but unfortunately, the food and overall atmosphere didn't quite meet my expectations. There were some decent dishes, but I don't think this will be a spot we rush back to.

But I was out and about today and saw this place and Pad Thai sounded good so I decided to take the risk. The place is nice inside and the girl at the counter who took my to go order was super sweet, so this is not a service issue. It's the food. It's just...meh. Marginal is even a reach. I ordered the fresh spring rolls, pad Thai with shrimp and extra veggies, and panang curry with shrimp, all to go. Total cost $83 + tip. Ratings as follows: Fresh Spring rolls-3/10 Veggies are sad and not very fresh. At least they put a little bit of cilantro in there but these did not taste like the fresh spring rolls you would get anywhere in the lower 48. Also: that nasty sweet chili sauce that most places here seem to serve with their springs rolls is just...not it. Shrimp Pad Thai with extra veggies-3/10 No egg. No green onion. They gave me 'extra veggies' but the veggies they gave don't belong in Pad Thai. I got broccoli, cabbage, and carrots....lol. As for the flavor.....VERY bland and you almost can't tell it's Pad Thai at all. Panang Curry with Shrimp-3/10 Okay so this was the saddest dish of all, because the flavor was 'okay,' but that was it. Literally ALL you get in the panang curry broth is whatever meat you asked for, thus mine had shrimp. NO VEGGIES. NO HERBS. NOTHING else. THAT was pretty sad. I've never seen Panang curry served with literally nothing but the broth and meat. I shouldn't be surprised tho as this is Alaska, and the Valley at that, and nobody here gives a flying F about fresh veggies. Sad state of affairs. I won't go back.
