While we were certainly skeptical of a Thai and oyster restaurant on the side of the Parks Highway in Willow, we were so happy we tried it. The waitstaff are all helpful, the oysters were fresh, the appetizers and mains were delicious! The blending of Thai seasonings with oysters was a delightfully unexpected combo as well. We can't wait to come back!

Yummm! Best wrap. Ever. Not sure how they seasoned it but I need the recipe please.

We have been told to stop in here for years and we finally made it! We have already been back for round 2. This place is a little roadside stop you would never expect to have the most amazing oysters! I have tried them all now! My favorite in order of best Curry Tom yum Black Mango Shooters Fried Rockefeller (these are amazing just a personal preference for the steamed and raw) Get them all!!!!! We had a few of their special and the spicy margaritas. Do yourself a favor and stop! We will be customers for life! Thanks for the great food and service!

Oysters (sorry I forgot the name)

We made the drive out to finally try the oysters that I had heard so much about and let me say they did not disappoint! They come in a variety of flavors along with the regular raw version. The oysters were large, meaty and so fresh that we ordered more! I have never been a fan of oysters (having only ever had them from the Gulf of Mexico) but became a fan today. I had the basil shrimp which was so fresh and tasty that I stuffed myself and ate every bite. My son had the spicy beef and shrimp and raved about the flavor. Daughter had potstickers which are fresh made ( not store bought) and delicious. Also pared the meal with a couple martinis which were spot on in flavor. This very unpretentious restaurant and bar is well worth the drive and definitely won me over as a new lover of oysters!

    Seafood curry

We stopped here on our way back to Anchorage. We had the black sauce and raw oysters, and seafood curry. The food tasted amazing. The service was extremely friendly. We loved that we could sit outside and our dog could join us. My only complaint was that in-shell pieces of crab are cracked and cooked in the seafood curry along with all the other seafood and sauce, so there are lots of little bits of crab shell throughout the curry dish. Next time, I'd order maybe just the shrimp curry, because the flavor was absolutely fantastic, just minus the shells. :)

Amazing Thai food and Breeze, the bartender was even better! We had a few drinks, ate some yummy food and watched the football game! OH and the live music, how can I forget that! Can't wait to come back soon!

Seems to be a pretty good deal! The restaurant has a sign 2 miles ahead of its location. We were on our way from Anchorage to Denali. Nice spot to take a break (about 2/3 left). Service: the girl who served us told us to "howl if you need anything". Very Alaskan!! :-) Ambience: there were only one other table when we stopped by (about 12pm on a Friday). Big space for small or large group. Casual place. Food: we had fried frog leg and seafood stir. Both are cooked very similar to Chinese cuisine. They claimed as a Thai cuisine, but you know what, they are close enough! Very nice to have some Asian place on the way.

Very cute thai place right next to the parks higway. Food was pretty good. Hot delicious deep-fried shrimp appetizer special was perfect for a rainy day. Red curry with chicken and rice was pretty good too. The curry wasn't the typical thai red curry, was more creamy, but was delicious. We had some room for desserts, but they ran out of the some of the desserts we wanted to try. Service was good and the ladies were friendly. Highly recommend this place!

Wonderful little place. Our favorite place to eat and we even had a our wedding party eat here after the ceremony

Cassie Stirfry - (a stirfry with their fantastic yellow curry sauce, I chose pork but other options were available)

We have eaten here two times and the food is unmatchable!! The atmosphere keeps improving and now is quite nice and comfortable, also the staff couldn't be any friendlier. I've eaten the Yellow Noodle, and the special of the day - Cassie Stir fry, and Pad Thai - all were excellent!! We also had the crab Rangoon, pineapple stir fried rice, and oysters for appetizers and would recommend them all. So nice to have great food available on the way out of town when I don't always feel like cooking after packing up for the weekend.

    Tom Yum oysters so good

Great food being served in an unassuming restaurant. You are not going here for the decor or ambiance but the food is definitely worth it. We stopped by here on our way back from an ATV tour (SnowHook) at Hatcher's pass and are glad we gave it a try. It was the perfect meal after a long morning out filled with some cold spells and rain. We started the Tom Yum and Rockefeller oysters and both very excellent (Tom Yum the fave). We went with Pad Thai, Mongolian beef, and Cassie stir fry. The stir fry was probably my favorite but all were very good. They also have a black sauce which is their own, house-made spicy sauce. The son of the Thai chef, that owns the restaurant, owns the coffee stand next door which has about every type of delicious coffee and dessert you could ask for. Definitely worth a stop here for some good food - they have a full bar too.

    Oyster shooters

The food was wonderful. We had curry, pho & oyster shooters. Claire, our server, was great but the whole staff stopped by our table to welcome us & say hello. Definitely a great vibe & a total hidden gem we found on our way to Willow. Would highly recommend

Tom Yum Fried Rice w/ shrimp
    Kelsey H.

Tried it here for the first time the other day. We got the shrimp Thai fried rice and the shrimp Tom Yum fried rice. Both were great, especially the Tom Yum! It's sour and sweet flavor is so good. I love that their fried rice comes with fresh cucumbers and a spicy chili sauce. Sets it apart from other fried rice that I've ordered at other local spots. We will definitely be back! I don't do pork, chicken, or beef anymore so I wish they had tofu if I ever don't feel like shrimp. It's still really good though.

It's a large space, and half the restaurant didn't have lights on, but it was fine. I ordered the chicken satay which came on a slice of bread, which I had never seen before. It was simple and tasted good. I also had the beef pho with thin sliced beef, and I added meatballs. I ordered the SMALL, it was a huge portion! Wish they had an even smaller portion. It was $18 which is a little higher than what I am accustomed to, but it is AK. I try to eat pho whenever I travel, just for comparison. This broth was a little on the sweet side for me, but that's just personal preference.

This is not the first business in this space and much of the floor covering and the dining bar are from a previous tenant. It is clean, the staff are efficient and polite. I was having a late lunch about 2 PM on a Wednesday and the restaurant was not busy. But judging from what I observed I believe that they do a large takeout busy and are busy at meals times and the evening. They accept credit cards and would be excellent for families. Ten tables for four, 8 chairs for dining bar. They have daily specials. The menu has many Thai Curry dishes that you select the meat or fish additions. They also have a list of many PHO dishes to accompany the Thai dishes. As this is my first time eating here and as I always do I having my favorite soup dish. I have been enjoying this dish for more than 50 years. I believe if they can make this soup I can evaluate how they rate at least on this one dish. I usually find if they do this soup well their other dishes will be excellent also. Now to important evaluation of the soup. The soup arrived timely and steaming hot from the burner. A large bowl with the correct color of the broth and an aroma that promised an excellent broth. The broth was well seasoned but not too spicy for anyone that eats this spicy style soup. The flavor was excellent and among the best. I requested chicken and the bowl had a large amount of tender breast meat cut in 1" sized pieces. It was free of any skin, fat or trim. Cooked to perfection and flavored with the broth. The vegetables consisted of fresh sliced mushrooms, green onions, cherry tomatoes sliced in half, white onion slices and Thai basil. The soup was a meal in itself with out the rice. After eating a portion of the soup I added the rice and allowed it to soak up the broth but with plenty of broth remaining. The flavor and consistency of the soup was excellent and I will return to hav more. The Thai iced tea was lightly flavored with a slice of lemon and very good. PS: as an additional note in one of the pictures is a large red box with a photo of a young girl in bed. She is 15 and very ill with a serious medical condition. She has lost her father and her mother and friends are struggling to support her and the Med bills. They are politely asking for donations to help with her care. This is a family effort of the restaurant families. Please consider a donation when you stop by to eat.

I didn't see my old friend(the man that always loved how spicy I could eat his food) but there was a young man, quieter, but very polite! They have done some nice updating in the last years, and it was a clean and very pleasant atmosphere. Service was fast(very quiet night), only a few patrons & a couple takeout people in/out. Food was very good, pictured is the Kim Himaparn(sp?) & trad Pad Thai. Not pictured, the fresh spring rolls- not to be skipped!! The only thing I will say, is I told him "very spicy" for the Pad Thai(I LOVE spices, handle them way too well) and it was not spicy(for me). Maybe he took a look at my average middle age white woman self and thought I couldn't handle it, but I would have loved it to be a bit "more"! Def will be back again, I didn't have enough people to order "extra" things to taste, and now I'm craving some curry and peanut chicken! and MORE spring rolls, always get the fresh spring rolls!

But I was out and about today and saw this place and Pad Thai sounded good so I decided to take the risk. The place is nice inside and the girl at the counter who took my to go order was super sweet, so this is not a service issue. It's the food. It's just...meh. Marginal is even a reach. I ordered the fresh spring rolls, pad Thai with shrimp and extra veggies, and panang curry with shrimp, all to go. Total cost $83 + tip. Ratings as follows: Fresh Spring rolls-3/10 Veggies are sad and not very fresh. At least they put a little bit of cilantro in there but these did not taste like the fresh spring rolls you would get anywhere in the lower 48. Also: that nasty sweet chili sauce that most places here seem to serve with their springs rolls is just...not it. Shrimp Pad Thai with extra veggies-3/10 No egg. No green onion. They gave me 'extra veggies' but the veggies they gave don't belong in Pad Thai. I got broccoli, cabbage, and carrots....lol. As for the flavor.....VERY bland and you almost can't tell it's Pad Thai at all. Panang Curry with Shrimp-3/10 Okay so this was the saddest dish of all, because the flavor was 'okay,' but that was it. Literally ALL you get in the panang curry broth is whatever meat you asked for, thus mine had shrimp. NO VEGGIES. NO HERBS. NOTHING else. THAT was pretty sad. I've never seen Panang curry served with literally nothing but the broth and meat. I shouldn't be surprised tho as this is Alaska, and the Valley at that, and nobody here gives a flying F about fresh veggies. Sad state of affairs. I won't go back.
