Sushi Bar.

Another fantastic dish, we went for the Hot & Sour Soup our staple, we always get 2 large orders, but we were grabbing To Go and decided on the Mongolian Beef! Let me tell you best Mongolian Beef in Alaska we've ever had. For a snack in the car we nibbled on 2fried spring rolls. Tender succulent beef and perfect sauce with the onions and scallions! This place is the best Asian in Wasilla bar none for many items. You can always count on the quality and the taste is spot on!

Chicken lo mein

Lovedddd everything we got! I had the Mongolian beef dinner special which came with a good portion of rice and 4 dumplings, all very tasty! The general tsao chicken with lo mein was flavorful together but the lo mein itself was plain. The hot and sour soup amazingg, highly recommend it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor was pretty nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the staff were kind. I will be going back again for sure!

This is my go to Sushi place in the Valley, as well as their sister location in Eagle River. I see them as Asian Fusion, Thai and Sushi with several classic and well recognized pan-Asian dishes. The service is fast and friendly making this an ideal lunch spot if you're on a tight schedule or a leisurely meal as you will it be pushed out the door. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean! It's always clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Sushi and Sashimi is fresh and well prepared and served beautifully. Pro Tips: I'm not a fan of the Pad Thai And Monkey Brains are delicious but feel free to order with just the spicy tuna and hold the imitation crab FYI their new location, just 100 yards from their current location, should be open next year.

Monkey Brain. Don't let the name turn you off. It's an avocado bomb of deeelish.

I've been here multiple times, enough to have tried at least 50 percent of the menu, which is relatively unchanging (and glad for that, because it's good!). I have whittled my preferences down to a couple of servings of maguro, with hot green tea. Then a Monkey Brain, sometimes with a house roll. They are proud of what they serve (as they should be) so be prepared to spend a bit of green. Reservations are not required but the wait is usually short. While the faces of the service team change frequently, they are always polite and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Looking forward to enjoying dining in their tripled-in-size new location, just a few steps away.....still under construction at the time of this review.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Rainbow roll

First off, the new building is GORGEOUS. After a little issue with our drinks, the staff came back with full force 110% great service! The food was beautiful and delicious, not to mention so quick from order to table! Thank you guys for everything, you made our night better than you know!

Rainbow roll and Naruto roll

We stopped for lunch driving between Talkeetna and Seward. It was amazing! The sushi was some of the best we've ever had. The staff and service were wonderful and so friendly. Highly recommend and would definitely be a regular if we lived in Wasilla.

The food was delicious, for how tasty the food was the service was super fast! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Awesome Japanese themed artwork[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken

Came here with my husband after passing it many times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was pretty and welcoming with gorgeous paintings of Asia![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated immediately and serviced super fast. Everything came out insanely fast and the food was pipping hot! It was great! We ordered egg rolls, sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken. All of it tasted great and well made. The portions were also much larger than we expected so I'm glad I didn't order a side of soup or salad. The staff was very friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Although, there was a young girl who looked like Wednesday Adam's that was running food; she was stomping around so loudly you could hear her moving around in the kitchen area from the front sitting room and feel the whole floor bouncing around. It was incredibly distracting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She also was throwing the plates of food and on the tables very abruptly. I'm sure she was just super busy but it was wild. Overall, I highly recommend this place! Great Asian food, especially on a cold windy day! Will absolutely return!

My sister and I have celiac disease and this is the only place in the valley we trust to make us truly safe gluten free food. An added bonus is that it is delicious. The staff is always super nice. I've never had a bad experience here.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice ambiance, and attentive staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was eating alone following an appointment, and was offered a seat at the sushi bar, or booth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed a Thai tea. Loved the tall glass and the cute straw that had a swirl in the top, and it was delicious! I went with a side order of dumplings, and the crunch roll as my main entree. Was all very yummy and really hit the spot.

Fried calamari

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is very attentive and the establishment is super clean and well appointed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is extremely consistent but prices are higher than other places in town like Zushi. I don't think their Thai dishes are that flavorful but their sushi and other Asian dishes tend to be very good. Their calamari appetizer is the best ever. I really like their crab dip too.

Hot Sour Soup

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a really beautiful restaurant with very attentive staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered from the lunch menu and the dinner menu. From the lunch menu we ordered the Panang Curry with Chicken ( includes 4 pieces of a California Roll) and a Fire Toll from the dinner menu. The lunch menu comes with your choice of soup. We chose the Hot and Sour Soup. The soup was excellent. I could have used a straw and a bigger bowl of this deliciousness!! We received the lunch order of curry fairly quickly. This would be very convenient for folks who have a limited time to eat during the work day. The roll came shortly after and was fully loaded! No skimping on this one! Now, down to the food. The soup was exceptional, the roll was great ( it was a fried roll) and the curry was decent. Not sure if they always add a heap of Thai basil stems on top.... But they did in this situation. I did not care for that. Unfortunately, there was a lack of depth of flavor in the curry. It just felt underdeveloped. However, the portions are very generous and the price is right.

This was a Doordash order…read more If I was to base this review on the eggrolls it would be one star. So don't get them. It's the first little box you're probably gonna open and it's gonna make you mad. They're $10 for two eggrolls the size of your finger. They were unremarkable and should've been two dollars. I was ready to be pissed off about the rest of the food, but I was pleased. I got the chicken lo mein, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles were the perfect consistency. The chicken was tender, and I was not expecting that, and the veggies were perfect. It was so freaking good. I was also ready for the sesame chicken to be meh. Or at least hurt my mouth. It was soft, perfect battered covering perfect amount of sauce. Perfect amount of sesame seeds. White rice doesn't always grab me and there were two big scoops in the container and it's the best rice I think I've ever had and it went really well with the chicken. And the last item was a roll that had tempura shrimp, crab, avocado, eel, and then your standard spicy mayo and EL sauce. It was outstanding. The only thing I didn't like was the prices. I understand they're inflated for Doordash. I also understand that Doordash provides consistent and constant business to these places and I still don't like the prices. They are comparable to every other place in town though so understand that if you're gonna blow some money on DoorDash and sushi at least get the good stuff at Jimmy's.

But I was out and about today and saw this place and Pad Thai sounded good so I decided to take the risk. The place is nice inside and the girl at the counter who took my to go order was super sweet, so this is not a service issue. It's the food. It's just...meh. Marginal is even a reach. I ordered the fresh spring rolls, pad Thai with shrimp and extra veggies, and panang curry with shrimp, all to go. Total cost $83 + tip. Ratings as follows: Fresh Spring rolls-3/10 Veggies are sad and not very fresh. At least they put a little bit of cilantro in there but these did not taste like the fresh spring rolls you would get anywhere in the lower 48. Also: that nasty sweet chili sauce that most places here seem to serve with their springs rolls is just...not it. Shrimp Pad Thai with extra veggies-3/10 No egg. No green onion. They gave me 'extra veggies' but the veggies they gave don't belong in Pad Thai. I got broccoli, cabbage, and carrots....lol. As for the flavor.....VERY bland and you almost can't tell it's Pad Thai at all. Panang Curry with Shrimp-3/10 Okay so this was the saddest dish of all, because the flavor was 'okay,' but that was it. Literally ALL you get in the panang curry broth is whatever meat you asked for, thus mine had shrimp. NO VEGGIES. NO HERBS. NOTHING else. THAT was pretty sad. I've never seen Panang curry served with literally nothing but the broth and meat. I shouldn't be surprised tho as this is Alaska, and the Valley at that, and nobody here gives a flying F about fresh veggies. Sad state of affairs. I won't go back.
