We were immediately met by a pleasant waitress, and when we moved she just came and found us. She was very informative, engaging, and knowledgeable, great service all around 4.8/5. I ordered the strength & my cousin the garlic wings and a margarita. The wings were some of the best I've ever had, fried to perfection and seasoned just right. A huge punch of garlic, which I really enjoy, so wings were 4.9/5. The vegetarian sandwich I ordered was so delicious, the pesto and garlic aioli really added flavor and the fresh warm bread really set it apart 4.8/9, only because the jalapeño was more spicy than pickled. If you sit at the bar top, they can run you a tab there. But it's usually pretty packed there. Beer n a Shot ($11/4*) the beer is a domestic lager (Miller Hi Life) and you can choose between 3 shots. I chose Fernet as I can use it post meal, while I have the beer with the meal. Don't love the beer but for the price ya just can't beat it. 6 Wings ($13/3.5*) Wings are a big focus on their menu. You can pick from lots of sauces/rubs; different quantities to fit your group/appetite; ranch or blue cheese; you can customize flats, drummies or mixed. They even asked how crisp we wanted the fry, which rarely is ever asked. I dug their thoroughness in the wing game. We chose basic buffalo sauce and I found it to be just average. Quite salty meaning it is mostly Franks Hot Sauce, I like ones that are more balanced with other ingredients. I did like their blue cheese dressing as they add a scoop of blue crumbles to the ramekin itself so it is very chunky which I like. Fish Taco ($5/4.5*) I chose a fried version but you can also get grilled fish. Perfectly fried strips of battered fish. Appropriate accouterments of shredded cabbage, cilantro and sour cream. 2 delicious pureed salsas come with as well that are requisite to use. Cobb Salad ($19/4.5*) Solid entree sized salad. Love how you pick between shrimp or chicken then grilled or fried. You will literally change the dynamics with each choice. The lettuce was fresh spring mix. Topped with crisp bacon bits, grape tomatoes, blue crumbles, avo slices, which is why I am fond of Cobb Salads. So many varying textures and flavors keeping things interesting. They use smaller shrimps but at least they have a nice meaty texture. They season it pretty aggressively and sear it on a hot flat top. Not sure if they cooked it next to some carne asada or if they use beef tallow to cook with, but my shrimp bites totally tasted like steak. I love surf n turf so this totally worked for me. Just don't know if it was deliberate or not. Nice add to the neighborhood and I'm sure I'll be back. Still want to try their nachos and possibly chicken n waffles. Good chance I could do both at the same time as not too often you can. Swoop in when ya can amirite!

There is typically street parking (no lot) right in front of across the street. You can order at the front or through Toast to skip the line. There are plenty of seats (think elementary school outdoor seating) outside that fit 4 people. The best part of Hotboys is definitely the employees though. They're super friendly, especially our guy, Shy! Shy's the best :)

Sprinkle a little water on it and zap it in the microwave, and it came out perfect and easy to eat. The Fish n Chips, Grade (3/5). I thought this was going to be like fish sticks and fries. "Aunt Rosella's Wings & Things" is a cloud kitchen at Jingletown Eats in East Oakland. Based upon menu items and similarities, I think I know who the parent restaurant is. But I'm not going to give it away, because food this good should stand alone. Today I ordered 1) Linguine & Meatballs w/ free rolls, 2) Cheesy Garlic Bread, and 3) JM Rosen Tuxedo Cake. Everything arrived in about 30 mins via Doordash from Jingletown Eats. The Linguine & Meatballs (large order) were delicious! Hot and fresh, meatballs were easy to cut with a fork. Pasta and sauce were perfect. Two free rolls included. The Cheesy Garlic Bread (1/2 order) was wrapped in foil and arrived still hot! You tear it apart into 4 pieces. You get the cheesy texture with a garlic bite. Not salty, and no powdery aftertaste. The garlic taste isn't really strong. OK, I actually ordered the JM Rosen Cheesecake, I got the Tuxedo Chocolate cake instead. So I'm guessing the cheesecake wasn't available. That's cool, no big deal. I know the JM Rosen Tuxedo (chocolate) Cake is good because I ordered it from Amici's Pizza (@Jingletown Eats) months ago. So why 5-stars? Because this is good food! It travels well as takeout. The pasta is delivered in a microwavable container. The foil wrapped cheesy bread could be heated up in an oven or lightly heated in a pan. The cake, well you might have a problem on a hot day. FYI: Jingletown Eats is a food prep facility with cloud kitchens. A cloud kitchen is a restaurant with no dining room. All transactions are done thru apps like Grubhub or Seamless.
