The food is absolutely amazing. I had delivery and we had the Kung pow chicken, a large Tom, Yum soup and chicken sauté it was all so delicious. I highly recommend each and every dish it was prepared so well I recommend all of it. It was done quickly, so the service was amazing. I can't speak of the ambience as it was delivery, but the sauces were each and everyone delicious. I would order everything again. I always go at lunch time and buy their chili ground beef lunch mild spicy. It is so delicious! Their coconut and Tom Yom Soup is also delicious! Desserts? I had their Mango Sticky rice and it was so sweet and soft, like butter. My 13 year old became addicted to it as well. Based on several tries, I would guess the reason they've been around long is because their dishes are just that, super tasty. My new fav Thai Place. I finally sat down on a Saturday evening and grubbed pleasantly in this quaint restaurant. Cross streets are Hamilton and Brookhurst where the Trader Joe's shopping center is. Everything about this place is amazing! I came here for the lunch special and got the pad see ewe and it was absolutely delicious. The lunch size portion was more than enough to fill me up and the flavors were amazing and authentic. The prices were fair and for only $10 there was a lot of food for the price. The service was quick and our server was very kind. There is also ample seating inside of the restaraunt and the restaurant was clean with cute decor. They took down my one star review I left two days ago. I'll leave as many as it takes. Lol The manager Macy put me on a no delivery black list because I asked her to do her job. Doesn't refund complete orders that they mess up. She lied to me over the phone, accused me of wanting free food, called me delusional, and spoke down to me in a very condescending tone. I wouldn't be surprised if she tampers with people's orders. From the sounds of the other 1 star reviews I'm not the only one she's treated like this. I know they will know who I am because I ALWAYS order the "paradise fried rice" no matter what else I also order: it is sooooo freaking delicious!!! And the proportions? Forget about it! Huge. Also amazing is the Penang curry, the yellow, and the green curries. The pumpkin curry is OMG so so so good. Love the chicken satay and let me tell you a secret to cure a cold/flu..... their wonton soup! Leave behind the chicken noodle and just pick up a pot of their wonton soup. I swear it has cured at least 4 cold/flus I've had :p Can't say enough good things about Basil Thai, I will be a customer for life. Most of the time the food is good but this time it was pretty bad we had the same order but different protein and the food taste was completely different noodles were without sauce taste was very blend and the portion of the chicken was pretty low too ! We ordered the fried rice and it came out actually fried unlike some other places. We also ordered the Pad Thai and one main problem with certain places is either there is too much sauce or none, but Basil Thai Cuisine has a precise amount of sauce that makes it enjoyable and tasteful with a bit of sweet to it. My favorite was the Thai Iced Tea which came unmixed to mix yourself and when mixed it is amazing. We will for sure be coming back!
