While we were there we saw lots of take out orders and they seem more set up for take out. Lunch and dinner specials 7 days a week was a nice bonus to see. My wife picked from that menu and enjoyed her selection. I noticed a new sign for Ka Prow (Ka Prao) and went with that. It was very tasty too. Counter service was helpful, and polite. We had the pad thai, pad see ew, 2 different types of curries, fried rice, mongolian beef (which we requested spicy and there was no spice), orange chicken, mango sticky rice, and some tofu/egg plant dishes. We also had some fried Wong tongs with beef. These were OK but had hardly any meat in them. The pad see ew with chicken and orange chicken were my favorite. An easily missable, but valuable spot for quality Thai food. This restaurant serves a variety of dishes, but the one I gravitated to always is the Garlic Pepper Chicken. I love how savory it is and how the garlic isn't too overpowering. I appreciate their lunch and dinner specials featuring a crispy wonton or egg roll. Their Thai Tea also doesn't disappoint. Thai Pepper was on vacation when we went last month.. so I see that they are back for business. The lovely missus convincingly said that we won't have a chance to go if we don't do it today. Placed an order via DoorDash. Food was ready upon arrival. All the containers were filled to the brim except for the spicy eggplants. I had no idea the latter was a dinner combo of sort and it came with a salad and spring roll. I thought it was nice surprise! The packaging were well thought out as the spicy eggplants were wrapped in a separate bag in case of leakages. This avoided a big mess because it did leak and saved me a lot of hassle from having to do extra cleanup. The food itself were absolutely delicious. I would have loved to turn on food vacuum mode and eat everything in one sitting. I don't eat seafood, so I ask them to leave it out and they do. It also comes with a little salad. They don't have fountain drinks, so when you order a drink, it's in a can, but they give you a cup with ice for it. I have been visiting Thai Pepper since moving to California over a decade ago, and it has stayed consistent and perhaps even made some improvements on their menu items too! Personal favorites include Tofu Thai Basil Fried Rice and Panang and Massaman (varied spellings) Curry with Rice. If it wasn't for the friendly staff, I would absolutely give zero stars based on the food. Absolutely disgusting, I threw everything I ordered away. I had high hopes based off the reviews, but I was left in complete shock that this place is even open. The beef broccoli was drowning in tasteless water with chewy beef. The shrimp was not deveined, chewy and had a weird smell. The rice and pad Thai were so bland, no spice at all, and again, just completely shocking it's being served. The egg rolls, if this is even possible, were completely mushy and wet on the inside. I was scared to take more than I bite and risk getting sick. Be careful with the food at this place definitely ask for mild if you don't like hot, I've asked for a medium before here in terms of spice and it just ends up being hot. But otherwise I did ask for the glass noodles to be no spice and they were excellent and delicate, my other friend who was dining with me had another dish with peanut sauce and veggies and chicken and he loved it. For anyone saying anything about spices or flavors, you can request spice level. Even 'mild' has a bit of a kick, so you can also has for 'no spice' i think. But honestly. They give SOOO much food for a good price compared to all the other places I've been to, so that was already a win for me! We got the pad thai, spicy beef salad, string beans, and fried rice. One of our orders automatically comes with shrimp fried rice, but we don't like shrimp. They exchanged our fried rice to white rice. The curry was sweet and was supposed to be "very spicy". Thai Pepper has been one of my favorite take out Thai places in the area. It's a super small casual restaurant thats run by a super friendly guy. The food is always excellent and they always give me more than I can finish. It's also one of the lowest priced Thai spots in the area. They have lunch and dinner specials and they give you fried rice instead of regular rice. Their food always has tons of flavor. Oh and if you ask for spicy it actually is spicy. The yellow curry was very mediocre. The flavor was there but it honestly tasted like it was drenched in sugar. Similarly, the teriyaki chicken tasted like super watered down soy sauce and a crap ton of sugar-- quite disappointing.
