She loves Thai food, especially the aesthetic of Thai Fix on Magnolia & Atlanta next to GoldenSpoon Yogurt. You know it's good because our first visit, we learned it's also a favorite of a local MMA fighter. The owner has two locations -- this one and another in Coto de Caza by the HomeGoods/Trader Joe's center. What makes Thai Fix stand out is the flavor. They don't hold back. Our favorites: Heart-shaped Mango Sticky Rice, Basil Meat entrée, and the Thai Coconut Chicken Soup. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. We got this food to go so we could eat on the beach. The food quality was very good and I give them high marks for everything on their menu being customizable; when you place a to-go order, that's not usually the case. We ordered fresh spring rolls adding shrimp to the tofu, spicy eggplant add chicken, Thai fried rice with combo meat, and Tom Kha soup with chicken. All food was great at the perfect spice level. Very spicy though, which I like. 5/5 The potstickers was also popular. It was gone quick. I would have liked it with a bit more meat filling. 4/5 Garlic chicken was good. 4/5 Stir fried veggies with tofu: veggies were very good and had a nice crunch still, tofu a bit over fried and hard. 4/5 Pad Thai was okay. I have driven by this place a hundred times and never tried it. It's kind of hidden at its Atlanta/Magnolia location but it was late last night, I was tired and so I finally did! OMG! The food is delicious! I had a spicy beef basil dish that came with white rice. The owner and I had a conversation while I waited for my meal and he is so warm and friendly I almost enjoyed that as much as the meal! My dish was fresh, super flavorful, generous in size and reasonable in price. He mentioned it's been a little slow since Covid hit so I hope locals start supporting him and give this place another look because honestly, it's really one of the best restaurants in that area! This restaurant is in a small to medium sized strip mall. The lot is usually medium to very full, but parking has not been a problem. The restaurant is not that big, but does have adequate seating and is nicely decorated. One or two large groups can increase the volume here. Our server was a lady who was nice and efficient. We were satisfied with her service. The menu is medium to large size with a significant, but not overwhelming number of choices. There are lunch and drink specials posted on signage and on the menu. These are generally good only on weekdays. We got the spicy basil fried rice and traditional pad Thai noodle, both with chicken. They ask you how spicy you want it. We get it very mild. We liked both dishes, but the basil fried rice was the best of the two. The pad Thai had a unique flavor that was close to but different from other places. I didn't care for the flavor, but my wife liked it. However, it was close enough to other places that I could still eat it. Overall, we had a good experience here and would try them again. If you can go for a weekday lunch to get the special it would be good. Prices are high like everywhere due to inflation. If you like Thai food, then give these guys a try. Just be prepared that they may have their own unique flavor for your favorite dish. read more

I ordered my food through UberEats, and so my review will reflect that fact. I ordered their promotional buy one, get one free for the Pad Thai; it was made quickly and the order came swiftly. I had no issues whatsoever with the ordering or the delivery process. I will say, however, one thing I did not appreciate during my ordering process was the pricing model. I understand that pricing is always a game of push and pull between customers and restuarants, and I willing to support restaurants, especially those locally owned and operated. What I cannot agree with, however, is when the price is listed as one, only to be increased moments later. It feels very much like a bait and switch. When I ordered my pad thai, I see it listed for x dollars. When I select it, I am now brought to a separate screen where I must now select a "mandatory" selection of an addition whether its vegetables, tofu, or animal protein, all of which increased the pricing of the pad thai. Now I know its a small increase, and I understand that, but I would much rather see the price upfront and not be surprised when the base price of the dish increases no matter what choice you pick. That feels predatory to me. *end rant* Now what you probably came here for: The food review. While I did enjoy their pad thai and think that their portions are excellent, not even mentioning that you get two portions of that large size for the price of one (plus the additional fees mention earlier), I feel the pad thai itself is pad thai. It does not strike me as amazing, but it also does not strike me as bad. I feel it reaches a very comfortable medium in terms of flavor profile. The tamarind sauce one expects is notable throughout the dish, peanuts are included as well as cabbage on the side, the noodles are supple and bouncy (but broken into smaller strands), and the "protein" choice (chicken for me), wasn't incredibly chewy, but wasn't super tender either. A happy medium for those looking for more of quantity than quality - which isn't always a bad thing. I knowingly wanted more, and this was my end goal in my ordering process. I do wish I had an option to choose my spice level, though. That would have been a nice addition. All in all, while I don't agree with their menu styling, I can say that for pad thai, you'd definitely get your bang for your buck and it definitely satisfies that craving if you have one, and you'll definitely have left overs to spare. read more

Atrocious, unacceptable customer service. We ordered dinner for my entire family while we were visiting, almost $200 for delivery. Ordered at 5:06, with delivery at 5:35. We call to check on the order at 6:00. 'Food is almost ready'. Our (first) poor driver leaves. The 3 toddlers are hungry. Reassigned with new arrival time 6:30. We call again to confirm, because that's not 'almost ready', that's 'we didn't even start cooking yet.' Apparently our food was handed to the wrong driver, and instead of firing new food, they were attempting to recover the original order. For 30 minutes. Didn't bother to call us. I ask them to fire new food because WHAT? It's unacceptable to send food away, try to get it back and then Send it to us, AN HOUR LATER. That's cold food, dude. 'Ok we'll get right on it.' Our third delivery driver cancels after waiting another 20 minutes. I'm writing this review as we feed the kids peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I've been calling since 7:00 to try to figure out if they're even making the food, so at least the adults can eat. I'm chatting with our 5th driver, at 7:36, and just got a 'they told me 10 more minutes.' At least have the decency to tell your customers when you've made a mistake, and that you can't accommodate the order. RIDICULOUS to waste everyone's time. Particularly the 5 poor drivers who keep getting told to wait 10 minutes, 3 times, until they give up and leave. read more

This small Thai food restaurant was empty when we walked in, however, they did have a few to go orders. The service here was great! The gentleman there seem to really have a passion for working there and was excited to talk about the items on the menu if we had questions. He was very attentive and informative. The boat noodle soup was very flavorful, however it was a little spicy for my husband. It was in a large bowl, however it was a lot of broth. The yellow curry called California curry, was missing the coconut flavor, however it still was decently tasty. I asked for a one on heat level, but could not taste any spice. I asked for no onions and carrots on the side. They obliged and were able to give me a side of steamed carrots so I could give those to my husband to eat. The avocado and cream cheese puffs were amazing. I love the flavor combination of the avocado and cream cheese. The dipping sauce was decent, however it needed a little bit of heat, in my opinion. The Thai tea was flavorful and the iced tea was good. We will definitely return here. They also have crispy pork, but it is not yet on the menu. So you can definitely ask for that! I can't wait to try that. I just hope the side of crispy pork is decently priced. Most places charge 20 bucks for a plate of crispy pork, when all I want is a few bits and maybe pay less than $10.
