Love coming here! Great ambiance, amazing service and even better food! I've been coming here for years and it's always the same consistent taste

The peach and fig ravioli and the seabass (not pictured) was beyond delicious. The papardelle was ok but def recommend coming. The service wasn't the greatest and they took forever! Ambiance was nice, not loud!

I had a very pleasant dining experience. The restaurant has two distinct indoor dining areas, and both are very well organized and maintained. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs the entire time we were there. The food was perfectly prepared, very flavorful, and the portions are just right (not small, not overly abundant). The restaurant does get crowded, so I highly recommend making reservations ahead of time. They don't have a full bar, but they have a great selection of wines. The only things that prevent me from awarding 5 stars is the lack of full bar, the prices are a bit on the high side, and the parking can be challenging; spaces are often limited and tight.

This is a Doral staple for authentic Northern Italian fare. The pasta dishes are plentiful and flavorful. Wait to hear the specials before you make up your mind. The waitstaff was very friendly and helpful, as we had a party of 10. This place is casual and quaint, with understated decor and brilliant Italian touches throughout. Their Italian wine selection is varied and tasty as well. I first went to Basilico almost two decades ago and it has maintained its high standards for food and services.

Pros: -good pricing for the quantity of food -calamari was cooked and seasoned well -Linguini Integrale al Pomodoro, Funghi, Spinaci E Formaggio Di Caprino from their lunch menu was solid with noodles cooked perfectly and all the garnishes well balance -we had a large group (~15 people) and all the food came out relatively quickly -servers came by frequently to fill our waters -the lunch menu all came with either a soup or salad -interior décor was lovely and felt high class Cons: -some of the plates were a little dirty -when some servers came back to ask if we wanted some grated cheese, they just dump a bunch without checking with us how much we wanted

18% Mandatory tip for food despite waiter only doing basics and not checking in. Small portions. Food wasn't outstanding. My dad felt similarly about his dish. What am I paying 28% tip for if you haven't done anything special. I don't mind when it is well deserved but in this case it is not.

Another fantastic lunch at an incredible restaurant. We celebrated Father's Day after church and traveled to Doral and it was well worth it. I was afraid that we might not find a table since we had no reservations but we were seated and the service was impeccable. Our appetizer was roasted octopus and followed by a delicious Iberico pork loin and a fantastic grouper dish. Again a very family friendly location and great service. Please give yourself a treat and enjoy very well made dishes with a touch of family atmosphere. A must in Doral.

The service was top notch, the restaurant is not the biggest but it has a really warm and nice ambiance. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture, really nice lunch specials as well. The bolognase pasta was another level and the pesto pasta with chicken is one of the best I had in a long time. Will definitely come back

They were both attentive yet not intrusive and I believe our server was from Northern Italy, so that added to the authentic vibe. The bread that they brought out was really good and we even asked for more, which caused us to fill up a bit before the main meal, but it was worth it. The mushroom risotto was absolutely amazing! Our server recommended it and he was so right! The best that I have ever had anywhere. The lobster ravioli, however, was not as good and was just a little bit too lobstery. IDK how to explain it but it felt like it needed some more cheese or something to balance it out. My friend who spent some time living in Italy said said that their pizzas were really good and felt very authentic. We didn't have a chance to try them because we were stuffed by the time we left! We asked to be seated on the patio overlooking the canal and it was nice because it was actually fully enclosed and also separated by a sliding door from the main restaurant so it felt more private. My only complaint is that the parking at this place is horrendous. More than half the spots were dedicated for valet parking (cone blocking the spot) and when we arrived. There was not a single self-parking spot available meaning we would have to pay for the valet which I didn't want to do. Thankfully one nice gentleman moved the cone in front of a valet spot and let us park there. If you want to park nearby, there is no other parking than in the restaurant parking lot because the side street has no parking/tow warning signs everywhere. Overall, I would definitely go back but be cautious about the parking situation (4/5 stars).

The menu is concise, to the point and mainly focused on traditional and/or comfort food in this case Italian. I can't believe I had it saved for so many years but today I got to experience some of the best food I've had in the city with the most remarkable service ever. This is a family owned restaurant and as a customer I felt as family too. Beto, the owner, makes you feel like part of his extended family from the moment you step foot in the joint and all throughout your culinary adventure. I hadn't made reservations and he made sure to find me a table for one even though it was super busy at the time. He also recommended a few dishes but ultimately convinced me to try one of the chef's specials which I've been talking about till this day. His staff is also very attentive and diligent. Having said that let me break down what I ate with a nice chilled glass of wine: Antipasto: Burratina...Fresh homemade burrata mozzarella on top of thin slices of prosciutto, basil and extra-virgin olive oil. Served with roasted red peppers and tomatoes. All fresh and with high quality ingredients without a doubt. I wanted something light before the pasta and this was very filling so I couldn't finish it but... Entre: Chef's special...Pappardelle Patagonia. Green flat homemade noodle with vodka sauce, Italian sausage, pancetta, mushrooms and fresh herbs. This was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in my life. Perfectly cooked "al dente" with a creamy vodka sauce that'd have you wanting to lick the damn plate. That Italian sausage was also so divine and they don't skimp on portions or ingredients. I'm glad Beto suggested this one instead of the Pappardelle Italian sausage. Dolci: cheesecake. I have no idea how I still had a little bit of room for dessert after that feast but this cheesecake was all worth it. Not overly sweet and very rich and velvety. This is arguably one of the best Italian joints in town. Just delicious Italian comfort food made with love and excellent service to got with it. Beto offered an espresso to end this extraordinary meal. He takes the time to go to every table and make sure customers are taken care of and that's what makes the difference. These are the type of restaurants that leave a lasting impression on their patrons and make them come back time after time.
