Returning home from Las Vegas and driving near Barstow, CA, I suddenly had an urge for ice cream while my family wanted breakfast. Considering I was driving home, ice cream won. I Yelp'd for ice cream near Barstow, and I was pleasantly surprised when my favorite ice cream shop, Baskin-Robbins, appeared on my phone. This BR is located at the same place as a Dunkin' Donuts. I ordered two scoops of no-sugar-added, pineapple/coconut ice cream (my favorite flavor) via the drive-thru intercom. I approached the window to pay, and a friendly female employee greeted me, with my ice cream ready. What service, considering I was the only car in line. Everytime we go through Barstow THIS is on our list and we always ask for the same "scooper"! I personally have to try the new flavors to make my choice...while others stick with their classics.. Conveniently located near the 15 fwy off the Lenwood Rd exit by the Arco gas station with drive-thru. I was on a road trip and was craving a shake, so I stopped here. I actually had a great experience at this location. I ordered a strawberry shake and it was delicious, very satisfying on this hot day. Shout out to Rosa, she was very friendly and efficient. Quite a few customers walked in at the same time making the place suddenly super busy, but Rosa and her female peer handled the rush very well. read more

I'm really upset with the service I received at this location this past Monday, March 31st. I was craving ice cream and realized it was the 31st so we stopped in at this location. I got 2 single scoops, 1 for me and 1 for my mom. I asked the employee helping us if they do the 31% off scoops since it's the 31st. She said yes, if you have the app. I said "Ok, great, I do". When I went to pay she could not figure out how to give me the discount. She said there's no way to do it with their POS system and that I had to figure it out on the app. I brought up the coupon but she said where was nothing for her to scan. I tried to figure it out for a few mins and gave up. She charged me full price for both scoops. I should have just said that I didn't want them after all and left the scoops there, but instead I paid and walked out. I was extremely frustrated. I'm sure she could have given me some kind of discount but she just wouldn't budge. I'll never visit this location again. And honestly, the whole situation makes me not even want to go back to a Baskin Robbin's again. This was this past Monday 3/31 at around 4:20pm. I don't know what the employee's name was. It was a hot day and I had promised the kids ice cream...in Arizona. Luckily there was a baskin Robbin's off the freeway. As luck would have it we made it right before they closed. They were the nicest workers I've encountered in a long time in any kind of setting. They immediately offered samples to my kids and were just plain gracious. Dirty, out of a lot of normal menu items. One of the doors are broken, probably a fire hazard. The bathroom was disgusting, didn't have any toilet paper and smelled like piss. If this place has a manager, I bet he/she isn't around much, if they are around much, they suck. read more

Stopped here from Vegas on our way home and after eating dinner wanted something sweet for dessert. We saw a Baskin Robbins and headed in. We ordered 3 cups of ice cream and when we asked for spoons we were rudely told they don't have any. I mean what kind of ice cream shop doesn't carry spoons to eat with?! After smugly looking at us, with an attitude she said "I have a fork if that'll do". I mean I guess they'll do as opposed to just licking the ice cream from the cup. Then she told us they were really busy all week and they ran out of spoons but her manager didn't want to order more. We stopped here after lunch for dessert. They didn't have some of the popular flavors like wild and wreckless berry or coconut pineapple but we picked there flavors. We got 2 kids scoop and 2 single scoop. Sadly, my single scoop looked like a kids scoop and yet I paid $2 more. :( The workers were ok. I saw all the bad reviews for this location but it's just a pit stop. The location is clean. They lock up the bathroom for customers only so you will have to ask for a key. I went over to the ice cream counter and asked for 2 scoops of chocolate.Cashier hollered at me from the donut side of the shop and insisted that we pay for ice cream before ordering even though we have been here many times before and got the ice cream first and then headed over to the register. When I mentioned that we normally got our order first and then paid, she said, "well, this is the way it's supposed to be, now I'm just enforcing it." Even though we've come here over a handful of times and it's never been the case. I mentioned that if that's the case then shouldn't you have us pay over on the other side? Every employee here will give you the worst attitude. They act as if customers are not worth there time. Working a minimum wage job you would think that would give them some insight on what kind of people they actually are. Talking shit behind a customers back as they walk out is wrong and unacceptable. I would give zero stars if I could. One server was servicing the drive through and one was servicing the store. Service was s extremely slow. When we were told that a customer wanted a freshly made waffle cone we decided to go through the drive through. Love the ice cream but the service was not good at all.they had two employees but only one was working and she was only working the drive thru, the other was sleeping at one of the tables. She finally woke him up and he took are order. I had to keep repeating my order, had to wait for spoons. Barely put on any toppings and it took 25 minutes for all of this with no one else in line.
