It would be a game changer if they offered kid sized scoops The four scoop sampler is just a few dollars more than a single scoop and if you're like us and want variety the sampler is perfect The line is typically long but my best tip is to order online for pick up. Each time it's ready upon arrival just head to the pick up window even if you see a line of people crowding it There's not that much seating available just a couple benches and a small square concrete area to sit at (often taken by large groups) Overall we keep coming here because the ice cream is just that good - and of course we want to try every flavor including the seasonal / limited flavors If you haven't gone to try it , don't let the line deter you. It's worth it !

I was dying for an ice cream sandwich but theirs featured oreos as the cookie so I passed. Hubby got vanilla ice cream, his go to flavor, and i tried the blueberry cobbler. His scoop was a little larger than mine, so that was a bit annoying. He enjoyed his vanilla. The blueberry cobbler was divine; the vanilla was swirled with a good amount of blueberry that tasted fresh. The "cobbler" bits were pieces of sugar cookie, which were not bad but not much flavor, just sugary. There were crumbles as well as little cookie bits. We agreed they offer a quality product and a good sized serving for the price. I would return to try some of the other flavors!

It was good, but couldn't finish it since it would not survive the walk back. Next time, would get a darker chocolate based ice cream to go with the decent vanilla-flavored cookies. While I was eating the sandwich inside in the small eating area, noticed the next customers waiting for their funnel cake to be made. Thinking that would be a great choice, especially topped with the variety of ice cream flavors available.

We both got one scoop each, and the portions were huge, one scoop was definitely enough for us! They also let you sample flavors, which is really helpful if you're having trouble deciding. Everyone was super kind, the scoops were generous, and the space itself was nice and spacious. There isn't really seating inside, but there are a couple of tables outside. As we were leaving, my boyfriend's sister accidentally dropped her cup, and they were so sweet about helping her get another scoop. We can't wait to come back! It's so close to us, and I can't believe it took us this long to finally try it.

COMPLAINT PART 2 Another reason why they are so unprofessional is because they're was always incidents going on with Dora were she would start to fight with my coworkers there. A GROWN WOMEN STARTING FIGHTS AND DRAMA WITH A BUNCH OF YOUNG COLLEGE GIRLS. For example with my coworker Allegra, one day Allegra was out of one dollar bills of change and absolutely needed them because there wasn't any extra ones in the change fund and she didn't have any in the register either so she gave a call to shalin to let him know that they were out of dollar bills and Dora snapped on Allegra started yelling at her violently INFRONT OF THE CUSTOMERS, all because Allegra was doing the right thing and she yelled at her so bad that she made Allegra cry which is very unprofessional ! If you have an issue with your employee you pull them to a private area and have a conversation with them to adress the issue, you don't just scream and yell at them especially infront of a customer that is very unprofessional and is also considered abuse in the workplace. To me aswell Dora yelled and me and started fights with me. She would also talk about the employees and called sade a bitch and talked bad about everyone behind their backs. Which is very unprofessional .. everything with this business is not okay. This is the reason why I ended up quiting. I loved working at baskin Robbins and with Tom as the owner I had such an amazing experience and would recommend for anyone to work at baskin Robbins it is such a great environment and fun place to work at. BUT NOT AT THIS LOCATION WITH SHALIN AND DORA AS THE OWNERS. they ruined my experience working at baskin Robbins and made me hate the job when they became owners. And I have full witnesses that can say that everything that I am saying is true. I am still in contact with all my old coworkers from there and I am tired of hearing from them all the sad stories of how bad they are being treated here as employees, I hope corporate gets involved and puts a stop to their un professionalism and the abuse that they are bringing onto their employees, thank you. read more

My husband and I both grew up in the Beach area of Long Beach. Although we don't live there anymore, we often come down on weekends to walk along the boardwalk or attend various events during the summer months. Our day always ends with a visit to Baskin Robbins. Their ice cream and gelato are amazing!! The variety of flavors make it a difficult choice, but I've now settled on a scoop of Tanzanian Dark Chocolate and Espresso gelato as my favorite, and my husband tries various ice cream flavor combos. While waiting in line, you get to enjoy the smell of the home made waffle cones being made, so one of these is a must for your gelato or ice cream selection. Going to Baskin Robbins in the beach is a treat. I look forward to my next visit. read more

I needed to find a low calorie Birthday cake for my good friend who is on a serious diet. I called Baskin Robbins hoping to find a sherbet ice cream cake. I reached Tom, who is the owner. He designed a lemon sorbet (with no cake filling) and explained that a 3 oz slice was only 130 calories... Just push the small amount of frosting to the side. I was amazed! My friend was so impressed (and satisfied) that she got to have a low cal slice of cake on her birthday that tasted soooo yummy! He really listened to my needs, and produced exactly what i needed, and all this was done within a matter of hours... Thanks Tom! I't s Baskin Robbins, so it automatically gets five stars from me to start with. I love Baskin Robbins chocolate fudge ice cream! The reason that I took off one star is because the girl behind the counter was new and was struggling with my order of a pint (12 ounces) of hand packed ice cream. I am not faulting her for being new, it is expected. My problem is that the other more experienced girl behind the counter could clearly see the poor girl struggling and offered no assistance. I hope that next time that I come in the service will improve. read more

I had a Free Birthday Scoop reward to claim on my Baskin-Robbins account. With so many…read moreBaskin-Robbins in the area, I chose this one since it was on the way to where I was planning to pick up dinner. First and foremost, don't get this location on Atlantic Ave confused with the location by the now-closed Vons in the Bixby Knolls Shopping Center. This Baskin-Robbins is in Bixby PLAZA on the southwest corner of Atlantic and 36th. CVS is the anchor store there, but Baskin-Robbins is on the other end of that strip mall, adjacent to Atlantic. I made sure to clarify the location when I gave them a call to confirm they would honor the birthday scoop. A couple reviews of the *other* Baskin-Robbins said that location doesn't honor the birthday scoop, a confuzzling mind boggler as I believe such a dishonorable act reflects upon the stinginess of a grumpy owner/manager. This location, fortunately, does honor the birthday scoop, but the girl over the phone (Amerie?) mentioned I'd need to show ID. Okay, I guess. When I got there, there was already another customer inside the shop deciding on what to get, but there was luckily a second employee, Amerie, to assist me and answer my questions. There were about 3 ice cream chests that ran the length of the shop, so you have plenty of different flavors to choose from! I thought about the Oreo 'n Cold Brew flavor, but when I asked if it had caffeine in it, Amerie answered affirmatively. It was about 6 PM when I went, and I definitely didn't want caffeine at that time of day. They do have two flavors that are NSA (No Sugar Added): Caramel Turtle Truffle and Pineapple Coconut. However, I've tried both before and was willing to try something sweeter even though I had been trying to cut down on sweets. The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup was calling my name because Reese's have been my favorite chocolate candy ever since I was a kid. The tub of Reese's was just about full, which almost made me wonder if nobody liked it as much? I was more than willing to give it a try, however! Amerie asked if I'd like a cone or a cup, but I went with a regular cup, though it confused her a bit when I accidentally called it a bowl instead. She also offered a lid as well as a takeout bag, both of which I accepted even though I would have been willing to sit inside at one of the few empty tables by the windows. As I went up to scan my rewards code, Amerie asked to see my ID. But then she muttered that she needed to write down my name and birthdate on a slip of paper. I didn't think much of it at the time after going through a pretty long and tough week, so I was like whatever. After I enjoyed my birthday scoop, I couldn't help but wonder why would they even need to keep track of my birthdate? I've been to several other Baskin-Robbins before, but this is the first time I've been asked to do this. If I had known that she'd need to write down that information first, I probably would have chosen a different Baskin-Robbins to go to as well as a different place to get dinner at. As for the ice cream itself, I took it back to my car to eat. I liked it! I could definitely taste the Reese's in the ice cream, though I thought there could have been a little more flavor without fringing into the "too much good is no good" zone. The pink spoon I was given was small, but surprisingly sturdy enough to use for my takeout dinner that evening. However, I didn't get to fully enjoy that scoop because I kept wondering why they needed to write down my name and birthday when the other locations I've visited before didn't do this. I sent in an inquiry to their customer service team, who passed it onto the team overseeing that shop and requested them to contact me. But get this, it was the *other* location on Atlantic that tried to reach out to me, so even they get their locations confused. I was also offered a receipt, which doesn't always happen when you redeem a free reward, and on the bottom of the receipt, there's a survey code where if you fill out the survey, you can save $1 on your next purchase of $4+. It's similar to what Dunkin' does on their receipts where you can earn a free donut with a drink purchase. This doesn't come as a surprise because Baskin-Robbins and Dunkin' are owned by the same company, hence why my Baskin-Robbins receipt looked exactly like a Dunkin' receipt! With Baskin-Robbins being a dime a dozen, I don't foresee a return visit to this location. It was nice to try, but my next birthday scoop will be redeemed at a different shop instead.

The employee, whose name I didn't get, offered to take my order instead of me figuring out the screen. I took him up on his offer. I ordered Greens & Ginger and he said that's his favorite. I scanned my app and he helpfully informed me that I have no rewards but I did earn points on this order. This employee was really a gem. He was so helpful and had a great energy and willingness to help. It really makes a huge difference in the Jamba experience.

To celebrate National Acai Day, Jamba was offering $5 acai bowls between the hours of 3 PM and 7 PM. However, since it was a pretty limited window, Jamba decided to extend this opportunity to rewards members by offering a $5 acai bowl that can be redeemed later that week! For National Acai Day, I went to the Bellflower and Willow location, which was way better than this location by a longshot. For one, they actually allowed me to upgrade my acai bowl to a large, normally a $3 upcharge, for just $2 more. Here, I was told by the lone employee (Jose?) inside the shop that I couldn't do that even though I would have been willing to do it again. Jose didn't seem customer centric as I got the impression he didn't want to be working that evening. Not one smile on his face even though the last employee I had encountered earlier that week was all smiles. I knew what the acai bowls were, but I asked him to explain it just to get a feel for his service, and I felt he was well versed in describing these bowls to the customer. I had previously tried the Acai Primo, which contains a plethora of berries and bananas, so naturally, I went with the other acai bowl, the Acai Peanut Butter & Nutella. It didn't take long for him to prepare my bowl, only about 5 minutes, and that even included him ringing up another customer who came in shortly after I did. At first, he just gave me the acai bowl by itself even though I had mentioned at the register I was ordering "to go", so I asked for a takeout bag. He got one that had a drink carrier on the bottom, and the bowl wouldn't really fit in that drink carrier. Oh well, at least I got a free drink carrier even if it wasn't useful for me that day lol. When I got home, I saw that some of the nutella and peanut butter was stuck on the underside of the lid. Unfortunately, the bowl as a whole didn't hit nearly as hard as the Acai Primo. The banana slices weren't nearly as fresh as the fruits from the Acai Primo, and the same could be said for the acai. The granola was starting to get a little mushy too. The taste wasn't bad per se, but the overall flavor was quite muted. The pickup counter includes straws and spoons, so don't forget to grab either/or before you leave! That's probably why Jose didn't bother to insert a spoon inside my takeout bag. This Jamba is located in the Ralphs Circle Center between Ralphs and Daiso. It's a pretty small location and can easily be missed, hence why I had initially forgotten about this location until I passed by it on the way to the car wash. Overall, 5 stars out of 10, but I'm rounding up to 3 stars out of 5 since it was a quick stop and go. I didn't necessarily hate my overall experience, but it was definitely lacking enough that I doubt I'd return to this location.

If you know me, this is my favorite doughnuts. Because it's St. Patty's day, they are offering their special green original Glazed doughnuts for a whopping $12 for 12 green original glazed doughnuts. However they did sell out but our girl Angie who was helping us quickly informed us of their substitutions. So we went with 4 Chocolate icing green doughnut, 4 of the green sugar doughnut and 4 of the original glazed doughnuts. It was still worth it for the $12 dozen. Any excuse or reason that Krispy Kreme gives me to go get a dozen, I am there.

Just a disappointment. Hot donuts are a nice treat when they are hot. If hot donuts are not available, okay, turn the light off and no one's time is wasted. The server seemed okay, just sensed no desire to correct issues or provide basic customer service. Hard to tell if it's t's the server or the management. Time to find a new treat. :(

Why have Holey Grail Donuts when you can have Frosted Cupcakery instead?!…read more Okay, that might be quite the low blow considering that Holey Grail Donuts recently closed for good here in Long Beach, but Frosted Cupcakery seems to have withstood the test of time for ~20 years. Possibly a testament to how good their cupcakes really are?! So I had a Fivestars reward for a free cupcake from Frosted Cupcakery, and since I was planning an afternoon getaway by the beach, I wanted to stop by to claim my free cupcake before expiry. Frosted Cupcakery is located in Belmont Shore two doors east of where Holey Grail Donuts used to be. If you're still not sure where that is, it's on 2nd St about a couple blocks east of the intersection with Livingston. They had a bunch of different flavors to choose from, but the Royal White Cookie Butter cupcake piqued my interest since it sounded like a winning combo that was hard to beat. I asked the employee to describe what it was, and once she said the words "Biscoff cookie", I was immediately sold! They had plenty of that flavor's cupcakes in stock, which kind of led me to believe it wasn't a popular flavor, but I still went with my gut instinct. The employee grabbed a Royal White Cookie Butter cupcake from the display case, placed said cupcake in a white paper bag, added a Frosted Cupcakery sticker on top, and handed it to me while wishing me a good day. I did ask her how long the cupcakes would last in the fridge, and she went to the back to ask a supervisor, giving me more time to peruse the available flavors shown in the display case. She came back shortly later to inform me that the cupcakes should remain good for about 2 to 3 days on the counter. On the way out, I also grabbed a Frosted Cupcakery card, which contains the contact info for the shop as well as the list of cupcake flavors, some of which are seasonal, gluten-free, or even vegan! The card also mentions that the cupcakes are handcrafted, likely with love. I spent a couple more hours chilling by the beach before going home to finally enjoy my cupcake. I noticed there was an unusually large see-through (grease?) spot on the side of the bag, which almost made me think it wasn't a cupcake inside the bag. When I took out the Royal White Cookie Butter cupcake from the bag, I noticed a divider between the frosting and the wrapper, which I thought was a nice touch to separate the two entities of the cupcake. However, I struggled a bit with removing the divider before taking my first bite, which was superb! The buttercream and cookie butter crumbles on top did make for a winning combo, and I wish the flavor could have been prevalent below the divider as well. However, even that flavor seemed to have dissipated after the first bite akin to an exponential decay. They have a few tables inside where you can enjoy your cupcakes with friends. However, take note of the fact that they only allow a maximum of 2 dozen cupcakes for walk-in customers; this is denoted by a sign on the display case. If you want more than 2 dozen, you'd have to place a special order, likely online, but I'm sure over the phone would work as well. Parking? Well, certainly not the easiest as it's in Belmont Shore. While there is a small parking lot directly behind the cupcake shop, I believe it's either paid parking or reserved for other businesses like Philz Coffee or F&M Bank. I had to find a spot on Livingston and walk over, which wasn't too far of a walk, but could be worse on the weekends. Overall, I liked the complimentary cupcake that I got courtesy of Fivestars, but I didn't think it was *that* good to warrant the 5th star from me. I do agree it's a great spot to order cupcakes from, especially if you're planning a day at the nearby beach!

The sweet empanadas were fragrant but not too sweet, which is a good thing. Each bread was toasted to perfection, and the store was organized so it's easy for the customers to select the bread buffet-style. I am glad that it's a little bit out of the way for me. Otherwise, I would end up eating too much of the bread and suffer the health repercussion of my indulgence. Street parking was difficult to find. Fortunately the street wasn't too busy.
