Aloha gang! It's a HOT day and you need something to cool you down. First place I think of is Baskin-Robbins. A prepacked quart (or two ) of my favorite ice cream should do the trick. I stepped into the store and was greeted right away by a cheerful young lady. I asked if they had prepacked quarts of Gold Medal Ribbon available. She told me that she would be right back with two prepacked quarts. She was quick and efficient and I appreciated her great customer service. Gold Medal Ribbon consists of creamy vanilla and chocolate ice cream with rich swirling ribbons of caramel. It's one of the most popular ice cream flavors at Baskin-Robbins. Extremely poor service - do not place online orders here. We ordered a birthday cake for our daughter weeks in advance of the party. My wife called to confirm they had the order, and I arrived an hour later and no cake. Not only no cake though, their freezer is broken, so there aren't any cakes at all. But apparently that would not have made a difference because someone had already updated our ticket in handwriting to say it would be ready the next day (at the time of the birthday party). So when we called (again, an hour before), they had simply confirmed they had the incorrectly modified ticket on hand. Absolutely awful experience. read more

I felt so bad for the sweet girl working the counter named Vy. She was very polite, professional, and did her very best to manage a very busy weekend where this establishment was offering BOGO scoops. I don't know the mentality of management to offer a very attractive offer like that and understaff the timeframe. I acknowledge and understand that hiring is difficult -- limited workforce amidst a global pandemic-- but then management should have been there in person to assist a young teammate who is trying her very best to run the entire establishment herself. We could not tip on the card so I promised to return and acknowledge Vy's efforts to support this establishment. 5 stars for Vy and her very calm and professional behavior to address ice cream demands for a very busy and warm evening when everyone and their sugar craving kids wanted ice cream.. -1 star for management for failure to support their employee amidst a promotion. read more

I was so excited when I found out Baskin Robbins has DAIRY FREE options now! I called ahead and a really cool girl confirmed the flavors and told me it was super good. I have never had a business get my legitimate review taken down so interestingly enough, when I went to modify my review from one star to two stars after one of the store managers had contacted me, I was shocked to see my entire review- with receipt, pics and all had been deleted. Wha???!! Basically, when I went into the store, there was only one person working at noon on Friday. The customer ahead of me was very upset because someone had messed up her cake order for a work party. I was in there for 30 mins and during that time customers had walked in and out but ended up Leaving bc the girl who was working had no idea how to resolve the problem. When I was finally served I got a 2 scoop sundae in a waffle cone. My first impression? I was excited.. the girl hooked it up with whipped cream and I used to work at an ice cream parlor so I knew the waffle cone would be bomb... or so I thought! I paid $6.08 for the 2 scoop sundae (which for the record-- it is not posted anywhere in the store but the store manager called me to inform me that all of their sundae's are made using kids' sized scoops... really??). After I ate the whipped cream I tore off a piece of waffle cone & was super disappointed to find it stale and super old tasting. I brought my receipt back into the store & ended up getting a refund and also contacted corporate regarding my nightmare experience. The girl working there was super young so I gotta come down hard on management. Lesson one: train your employees. Lesson two: do not hit up yelp to take down legitimate reviews or I will repost. Usually I love this location. But my last 2 postmates orders from this store have been awful. And not because of postmates. I always order the packed containers. Service was bad and the teenager working the front had a bad attitude. When I walked in with my family, there were a bunch random of teenagers talking and laughing with the teenagers working there. Super disrespectful and started laughing when I tried asking a question. This teenage boy was also trying to joke with us by saying stupid things. These boys were OBSTRUCTING the entry way and the counter and discouraging anyone from trying to get any service. The teenage girl working gave me and husband the NASTIEST look you've ever seen when we walked in and didn't even greet us (and continued to stare at us while standing at the counter). I am APPALLED by this behavior, my hubby and I just wanted to get some ice cream for us and our babies. I've never been into such a shameful establishment. Even after we stepped outside the building, these teenage boys that were goofing around and continued to shout obscenities. I am throughly DISGUSTED with how my family and I were treated. Tldr: The store gave my order to someone else. They reached out to have the previous customer to bring back the cake to get their rightful cake, and that they would give me the cake that left the store. This makes me question their integrity and if they just placed it on their freezer shelf for another customer to purchase. Warning others to prioritize your safety! I placed a custom order for a unicorn cake approximately a week before Saturday's pickup. When Saturday came, I called into the branch to check if I could pick up the cake an hour ahead of schedule and here's what happened. ----- When I called in, a female employee picked up and said she would go check. When I gave her our name, she mentioned that there wasn't a cake under our name. We mentioned a different name, just in case, to no avail. She then asked us for what sort of cake it is. We let her know that it was for a unicorn cake - white cake with oreo cookies n' cream ice cream. At this point, she mentioned that she knew what had happened. Someone had stopped by to pick up the cake. No one in my family had done so, so we asked more to find out. It turns out, there was another unicorn cake - chocolate cake with chocolate almond fudge ice cream. The worker at the store ended up giving OUR cake to that person. She then let us know she would call us back as we hung up. At this point, we figured she might offer a new cake or something. Instead, a few minutes later, she called back and said that she got a hold of the other individual and that they were going to bring that cake back. This way they would get their actual cake and we would get a cake that someone had walked out of the store with. She mentioned that they had "just" left the store and are on their way back, but had previously mentioned on the first call that someone picked it up "earlier." Throughout this phone call, we could not believe that the policy was that she would take the cake back from the customer and give it to us! Even Costco will not re-sell any perishable item that left the store, even for a second! And here Baskin Robbins is giving me a cake that someone walked away with. Amidst this COVID-19 pandemic, I couldn't even comprehend how this was an acceptable option. We had asked her to check their other stores, but because of the franchise, the other locations were as far as Fallbrook and Temecula. We clearly told her that we did not think this was a good idea and that Baskin Robbins cannot guarantee the safety of that cake. She mentioned the best they can do is sanitize the box or transfer it into a new box. In the end, we requested her to give us a refund for the full price of the cake because of this mishap. She mentioned that we would need to go into the store to present the physical credit card in order to receive the refund, despite that it was paid for online through the website. A few minutes later, she called back and mentioned that they can process a refund through the online system and it would be refunded without needing to stop by the store. Once again, the fact that the best they can offer us was a cake that left their store makes me question not only this store's integrity, but also Baskin Robbins store policies. Based on how they handled this situation and that we never picked up the cake, I wonder if they just placed it on their freezer shelf for another customer who is not aware of what happened. I felt it was important to share this story due to public safety. read more

Ordered an ice cream birthday cake 3 weeks ago. My son went and picked it up at 10:00am. He proceeded to drive back home approx 15-20 mins away with his A/C on in the car. Needless to say the cake melted during the making process not the pick up and drive home process(as manager implied) . I could tell because I opened the box and touched the still hard and frozen ice cream. I also noticed one of the cookies was not in the proper place and side were smashed in. Called the store and spoke to a worker and she said she was sorry and would contact her manager. Manager called about ten minutes later and I explained what happened. Manager said that worker said cake was fine and nothing wrong when it was picked up. Not the case but explained again and manager understood. Said she would make it right by sending some freebie coupons to my address. Couple things to note, First-cake is not made in the store, it is made by an independent person( yeah really). Second-if you're a person in charge"manager" you should inspect all orders before customer picks them up. Third- when you(MANAGER) say you will make it right with freebie coupons dont lie and not follow through with your promise. Thats just bad business and wrong. Its been three weeks. read more

The address it was delivered to was a short 5 min drive away, so I assume the employee made the banana split and left it on the counter while the DoorDash driver was on their way to the store. My daughter ordered a shake and after we paid for everything we were told oops no milk. Finally, there were 2-3 apparent employees sitting in the store and 3 behind the counter. Expensive tasty ice cream that satisfies my nostalgia for 31 flavors and my tastebuds as well. It's all well and good to go to the store and buy a tub of Talenti, but it's kinda nice to take the kids in every now and then for a tripe flavor sundae with extra whip cream and maraschinos. It's not as good as the mom and pop shops which I've reviewed elsewhere, but if you're in the boonies, like east Poway, you can always still find one of these around. As for this location, I was disappointed because I showed up yesterday on my birthday and attempted to join the Birthday Club, only to find out that the email for the free scoop is ONLY sent out 5 DAYS BEFORE YOUR BIRTHDAY! i.e. no free ice cream for me :( Also, when you sign up, you are supposed to receive a BOGO email for a free scoop, but after sitting there for an hour eating ice cream I paid for, the email still hadn't arrived. In fact, the email arrived just this morning. The service was ok, they did give us an extra cherry on our sundae. Good place, close to the house. The staff is always friendly, but the place is usually a bit dirty. They stay busy though, so maybe they don't have much time to clean up. We usually stop in for pre-packed quarts, and they always have our flavors on hand. Biggest complaint is that the soft serve machine has been out of order for what seems like months now. Its not a make or break, but my husband really loves the soft serve. Please fix the soft serve machine! read more

We came after a Friday night movie with our 2 boys. my son and husband ordered and my 2nd son was standing in line and the other girl behind counter skipped over him and helped the adult in line behind him.
