I just tried their kooky monster flavor for this week and it is definitely my new favorite I've tried of theirs! Dirty Dough is a franchise and this is their first San Diego location in Poway in the Target shopping center. They are known for thick stuffed cookies. They always have 5 classic flavors (4 regulars, 1 GF) and 3 weekly special flavors that switches out every Friday. The dough is premade and comes frozen to Dirty Dough. Then they bake them fresh daily. When you place your order, each one gets decorated on the spot with specific toppings while you wait. I ended up with a 4 pack and got 3 classics and 1 specials. They are soft, gooey and big like the size of a hockey puck. The thin edges are slightly crisp and raised in the middle. They are so rich and sweet that I sampled 1/8 of each one and said no more. I could taste each flavor as described but the texture is so doughy like eating raw cookie dough. Definitely not for me. Stuffed chocolate chip: traditional chocolate chip cookie with milk chocolate chips. No toppings The reverse: chocolate cookie filled with fudge and peanut butter - too much pb for my liking Cookies and Cream: vanilla cookie filled with cream, topped w Oreo chunks and white chocolate chip - my favorite Carmelita (specials): Cinnamon oatmeal stuffed w cream cheese, topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting and chocolate chip - taste like an oatmeal breakfast bar Usually you can't go wrong with chocolate chip. I would say what really brings this place to the 3 Stars is not the price as everything nowadays is expensive but the service is what really sucked. After hearing about this place we finally took the plunge and gave it a try. Immediately we were greeted by Adam who gave us AWESOME customer service. He really went the extra mile. It's hard not to try to compare Dirty Dough cookies with their competitors but Dirty Dough doesn't even compare. The cookies don't taste undercooked at all like most gourmet cookies. If you have an allergy they do have different spatulas for non-gluten and peanut. I love how they support the community. They offer fundraising for local schools and organizations. I called around three different times because there was a problem between the website and then the connection with it to DoorDash and the girl on the phone was very rude and gave attitude and said she had other things to do and left the phone for a hot minute and came back saying to call somewhere else.
