Ahmad provided amazing service! When we got to the store there was about 12 people ahead of us but the line moved very fast, even with people sampling different flavors. Ahmad was so quick to get there orders and cash them out which made a difference. My wife and I only have an hour before we have to pick our son up from camp and we like to play board games while eating ice cream. Ahmad's fast and excellent service made sure we could do this. The most awkward experience to be a customer and have the possible manager berate the young server while you're waiting to be checked out. I had gone in to redeem my bday scoop while I was waiting for the receipt to be printer. Probably due to the low traffic time, the server was probably working on her own things (which I get is not professional) but I was more taken aback by the possible owner's response to it in front of a customer. Also, Maybe it's just me, if I see someone who is redeeming a birthday anything, I'd wish them. But instead this manager went on to talk to the server, not acknowledge the customer, didn't offer the customer the receipt, crumpled it up, and ignored the customer all together (didn't even inform me that I was free to go after crumpling the receipt though I guess I should have assumed). Quite possibly the rudest experience I've had in this neighborhood. I would have rated it a one star based on this experience but the ice cream tasted delicious, hence the two stars. Why is it at another store and what do you mean by "might." She says the employee there cannot check because they are the only one working at the store. At this point I am panicking because this was the cake for our grandmother's 90th birthday party that was starting in 15 minutes. She offers to let me choose an "upgrade" from the selection of premade cakes, which is absurd since this is for a 90-year-old woman and most of the cakes in their freezer are decorated for kids 10 years and younger. She kept harping on the fact that I was getting a better deal by being able to select a cake one size larger. But the point is we weren't getting the cake WE ORDERED! This is like offering someone two scoops of rainbow sherbet when they really wanted and ordered chocolate. It doesn't matter they are getting "more" -- they're getting more of something they don't even want!!! The kicker is that not once did the lady apologize or own up to the fact that her store messed up big time, dropped the ball and kinda ruined a birthday celebration. Just a bit of accountability would have gone a long way. If you do want to take the risk of ordering a cake online, CALL AHEAD AND DOUBLE, TRIPLE CHECK THEY HAVE IT THERE. They have a few freezers with ice cream cakes as well. I don't think the ice cream selection is grand. The ice cream doesn't scream 'try me' for some reason (compared to gelato places down the street). Regardless, the staples are here (chocolate chip, mint chip, etc). The young girl working gave me samples of ice creams before I made a purchase. They also make their own waffle cones here I think. I just wanted to share a jamoca almond fudge with a friend. She was waiting next door at Coffee Bean. The ice cream tasted mostly of coffee with not a lot of fudge or almonds. I purchased a child scoop for $2.99. Absolutely horrific service. I ordered a turkey Thanksgiving cake for pick up at noon on Thanksgiving Day and when I got there to the 4S ranch store was closed. I got there at 12:20. Knocked and called a few times to no answer. This cake is for my nieces second bday and for our Thanksgiving lunch. I had to leave and buy another make shift cake from Ralph's. No phone call to say they are not open or that my cake should be picked up at another time. While I was at my lunch, the owner calls me and says oh well, we are open now at 1pm. Not apologetic at all and no explanation for why it was not open at noon nor any phone call letting me know it won't be ready. The owner super inconsiderate and not helpful at all. She offered to deliver it but at 4pm when my lunch will already be done. I've asked for a refund, hopefully I get that. But extremely disappointed by the lack of client service and remorse.
