Super short review due to the super short in and out experiences I've had at this particular BR. Ice cream is good. Employees are not the friendliest. The cakes I've ordered on several occasions have been hard and the frosting has tasted bittersweet. I don't recall the cakes form BR ever tasting like that. I come here often, more for the convenience than driving to a different one with my daughters. Customer service has always been poor, but whatever. They have a deal that says to get 2 or 3 scoops and you can get a free waffle cone. I was getting two double scoops to go, and asked if they could put the cones in a bag for me. I was told no, cup or cone. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. The cost of ice cream already includes the cost of the cup, so it's not like I was getting more than I was paying for. New Owners and they are super nice and Friendly!! Will be ordering all my cakes there and Love my Chocolate Chip!!

It started off with our initial contact. The guest before us...was treated with so much respect (a smile and polite tone) and offered... even encouraged to fill out the survey at the end of their purchase. Beacuse they felt "they pulled out the dog and pony show". Sooooo..then our turn. The lady asked us if we wanted to sample? My family (of four) circled around to see what they wanted and then she just left to the back. Then the Man (that helped the previous guest) decided to help us after we decided what we wanted. He first helped my wife, then my son...then I asked to sample an ice cream. He let me sample it..then proceded to walk in the back and have a conversation with the lady (who left us) in the back. Then carried out boxes and then asked, "anything else". Only way i knew about the survey was because I over heard him tell the guest before us..because he surely didn't want us to fill out the survey. Then when my son came back inside for a napkin and it took him awhile. I asked him what happened? He said the same guy did not help him until he asked everyone in line whos next, and another customer had to say...I think this young man. smh... read more

Talk about cheap, I just bought eight ice cream cones and I was given almost no ice cream at all. The two Asian women there were extremely rude horrible horrible customer service if you ask a questions they look at you like if you should know the answer as if I worked there. This place is great overall except the manager is a bitch. Not only did she give me attitude while attending me but she also threw my ice cream on the counter as opposed to handing it to me. Went here on a Friday to order an ice cream cake for Saturday. Kent was super helpful taking my order and offered me samples of a few flavors to try. And the lady there was really nice and explained how to properly defrost the cake so that the ice cream wasn't rock hard and the cake wasn't dry. This is not my first review. I was just there yesterday. The service was great. So is the product. The employees have never been rude to me. I always tip because I appreciate all their hard work. They work very hard there and put up with snotty customers all day long. It's ice cream folks. Seriously. I see the same behavior at Starbucks. I don't expect the red carpet treatment here. AHHH finally some service to YELP about. So I was a little leary about trying out another BR after my last encounter with the owner of BR on 4th and milliken. So we go in and WOW what a difference its night and day the other makes you feel very clostophobic where this one on baseline and milliken is very big with room to spare. My wife and my 2 girls age 3 and 5 and myself got helped by a happy cheerful guy named Alex. I asked if they have a problem letting the girls try out some samples with those mini spoons He totaly told me go ahead and let them see which 1 they wanted to get. I came in for my free birthday scoop. The employee said the scoop he gave me was a single scoop and only the kid scoop was free. I asked if I could just pay the difference of the scoop. He charged me $2.79 . I look confused because it should have only been off by like 50 cents to maybe a dollar! Then I asked if I could just buy the single scoop and get a separate cone of my free birthday scoop. Then he grabs my single scoop, tosses the ice cream back in the bucket, cuts it in half and puts it on two cones and still charges me $2.79. This place is a joke. Never coming back!!! Then when I looked at the receipt it says he charges me for TWO SINGLE SCOOPS, and refunds a kids scoop. This place is ridiculous! I asked the young Asian lady to wash the scoops with soap because my son is extremely allergic to peanuts. She gave me attitude and was rushing me the whole time. I asked her questions about how they handle people with food allergies and she gave me attitude. It seemed as if she had to do "so much" to handle my son's ice cream properly. After I paid she didn't even look at me and went straight to helping other people. Talk about horrible customer service. Employees need to be trained to not give attitude over the slighest things. At the end of the day, it is your job to go above and beyond for your customers if you do want them to come back. SPECIALLY THE ONES WITH FOOD ALLERGIES. I think I must have gotten the same person as Kenny M. He rushed me out of the store, even though I was the only person there until I was paying. He told me good bye approximately six times as I was pulling a napkin out of the dispenser, in a tone that said, "you have your ice cream, now leave!" However, in his haste he forgot to charge me for an extra topping. He remembered this as I was walking out of the store. By this time, five other people had come in. I had already paid via credit and I don't carry cash/change. Not to mention that the extra topping actually on my sundae was hard to find. He treated me like I did something wrong. I'm giving two stars because the last time I was there people WERE friendly and helpful. Probably won't go back to this location. I took my daughter her in the summer. She became very ill few hour later and vomited and became dehydrated. She was taken to San Antonio Hospital and had to be given IV fluids. I called this location about the issue and that they should change out that particular ice cream or have the machines checked. The female who answered the phone did not speak english very well and simply told me that the ice cream is fine and that there was no problem. I also called corporate to tell them as I did not want to see someone else get sick. Corporate seemed only to care about getting legal action against them, I informed that I would not sue but just want to ensure nobody else gets sick. Corporate informed me they would look into the issue and call me back. It has been 5 months and I still have not received any response. I would be careful going to this particular location. Hopefully it was an isolated issue. read more
