Sad experience. I would not have been disappointed had the girl been honest prior to purchase. We requested a "creation". She informed me they only had shark creation. We were fine with that. Until after she scooped into cups, sprinkled with sprinkles and handed to the kids with no cookie. Of course the kids dug in right away. I asked where the cookie was and she says they are out of them. She charged for the shark creation and told me I was paying for the cup container with a shark print on it. I understand where she was coming from yet I am upset she was not honest prior to purchasing. She even gave me an attitude about it even though I was very kind with my words and only expressed my disappointment in her not being upfront about what all she would not be able to provide with this particular purchase. I think I might be done going here anymore mainly because of the dishonesty and attitude I received. I believe she is lucky I was kind with my words when some parents would have ended up yelling at her for her actions. It's been quite a few years since I've been to Baskin Robbins. I initially stopped eating ice cream at any Baskin Robbins, because I came to the realization that it wasn't much better than any brand you might buy at the grocery store, and it was a lot cheaper going the grocery store route as well. I happened to have a coupon, so I decided to give it a shot. There happens to be ample parking in this shopping center, especially since the Orchard Supply is closing. The Baskin Robbins shop is extremely cramped. Other customers happened to be looking at the ice cream cakes, and pre-packaged ice creams, so there was probably half of the flavors I was unable to see. It was a minor inconvenience for me, although it might be a bigger issue for others. I received help from a young girl, and she was incredibly nice. She immediately greeted me, and asked if I wanted to sample of the flavors. I knew ahead of time that I wanted either Mint Chocolate Chip or Jamocha Almond Fudge. She was nice enough to offer me a generous sample of both. I ended up choosing a scoop of the Jamocha Almond Fudge on a cone. Ordering the ice cream ended up back-firing upon walking outside. Although, the temperature happened to be in the low 70's, the ice cream started to melt immediately. It became rather messy within a one minute, since it was all over my hands. I couldn't eat the ice cream fast enough. The ice cream itself was alright as far as flavor goes. It became overly sweet as I was about halfway done. This Baskin Robbins is my favorite because not only is it so close to home, but they have so many flavors compared to the other Baskin Robbins in the area! Definitely more than 31 flavors. Their cakes in the freezer are nice too because they have so many flavors in each size and all of them are decorated really nice. The counter help is also very friendly. Great service, although I was the only person in the ice cream shop at the time. All of the buckets of ice cream seemed fresh and the serving size was on par, unlike other BR's that tend to skimp. Had the worst service today! We went there because it was my nephew's birthday and he wanted some ice cream, and this place is the closest one to my house. When we got there, they had a bad look, like.. "You shouldn't be here" it was like 9:30pm and they close at 10pm. So many effin' flavors!!! Choices galore...I had a really hard time figuring out what I wanted and finally settled on the "Jamoca Almond Fudge". The kind employee who helped us was amazing...she gave us a huge sample of all the flavors we wanted to try and said "Sorry I'm giving you such big samples. Update - After I sent a complaint through the Baskin Robbins company website I received an email from the store manager with their apologies explaining they had a significant amount of new staff and they always accept these coupons and if I came by she would be happy to provide me with a free cone and two free pints. I went by today and redeemed her offer in addition to the two coupons I had for the other two free pints. I appreciate the level she went to in order to make things right. Will NEVER visit this location ever again. Went to it to redeem my free birthday cone as well as certificate for a free pint of ice cream for being a blood donor and was told they wouldn't accept either coupon. If this is one of the locations that has opted out of both programs it's a down right shame. Way to go by rejecting the customer's birthday as well as those being rewarded for saving lives and making them matter by donating the gift of life through blood. BTW Stanford blood center is promoting donations this month with these coupons. I imagine you will lose out on potential sales by people who would have purchased something in addition to getting their free pint. read more

As far as mid-range ice cream goes, Baskin Robbins is legit. I prefer Coldstone or an old-school parlor - but BR is solid nonetheless. Tonight I had a single scoop, Oreo Outrageous. Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream with Oreo Cookies and a Ribbon of the White Oreo Cream. Maybe one of the best scoops of ice cream that I've ever had there. Almost was like a moist cake it was so hearty! My wife had the usual boring Mint Chip, but I can't fault her...it is a classic! They also have chrondog Ice Cream Cakes and Sundaes. A great treat in the summer heat. read more

You usually can't go wrong with some good-ole Baskin Robbins Ice Cream. This one in particular is very close to my house and next to a restaurant I frequently visit. Obviously, the ice cream is fantastic but the service can use some help. There's usually these 2 or 3 young girls working. They never say hello or goodbye. They look at you with a blank look. They get what you ask for and that's it. I did go in one Saturday afternoon and an older lady was there. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, if you're in the mood for some ice cream you can't go wrong. If the little girls are there to serve, don't expect the best service but they do get the job done =) read more

I came in to this store maybe a month ago & the customer service was just OK. The milk shake however was the WORST. I might as well have gotten straight up ice cream in my cup. I decided to come back again today and the milkshake was better. Although the customer service was horrible. It seems that there is no communication between the workers. I do understand that you want to hire teenagers for the summer but the management needs to make sure these girls know how to treat customers. My order shouldn't have taken so long because of socializing behind the counter and barely noticing us standing and waiting for our order. I'm a big fan of a good milkshake, but I was very disappointed in Baskin Robbins milkshake. It was too watery, and not thick enough. Plus, it was way too sweet for me. After taking a sip I knew it was not my style. But when I asked the employee if I could get a cone instead she said no. I was stuck with a watery milkshake with no chance of getting my money back or exchanging it for something else. As someone who has worked in the food industry I would have allowed a dissatisfied customer to either get their money back or at least allow them to get something else instead. Especially since I only took one sip of the milkshake, its not like I drank half, it was only a tiny sip and I could tell it was way too watery and not thick enough. I will never get a milkshake from Baskin Robbins again, and I recommend stick to their ice cream cone instead. read more

I ordered a 2 scoop sundae w/2 different ice creams but he didn't hear the 2nd ice cream and just gave me 2 scoops of the first one.. he was trying to fix it when the manager/supervisor came over and since I didn't pay for the 3 scoop sundae she refused to use the ice cream that was already scooped...she chose to throw away both of those scoops and start over instead of just giving me an additional scoop of the 2nd flavor. This Baskin Robbins is located in the same plaza where Bill's Cafe is. It is SUPER small! But what does that matter if your purpose is to just get ice cream right? When you walk in, there is literally an ice cream display to the left of you and then you have to walk to the back part of the store to see the other flavors. Going out to get an ice cream cone or sundae always brings back happy memories of when I used to do the same with my family when I was a kid in New Jersey. Back then it was all about the soft serve cones we would get at Carvels, the 60s/70s ice cream chain. Back then the family was polarized between the vanilla, or the chocolate lovers. I was on the Vanilla side, simply because I thought chocolate was too much flavor, that overcame the vanilla! Back then I liked the simplicity of vanilla. When I move to Ca way back in the later 70s , I was still a kid and shocked that the only close ice cream place was Baskin Robbins. And no soft serve. I had to decide between 31 flavors, how is this possible? I reluctantly adapted, and learned to love BR as much. My favorites over the years have changed, and most are still available today. I started out with Pralines and Cream...that was the gateway to the Mountain Blackberry option, then Mocha Almond Fudge, which later focused just on plain coffee ice cream, which is where I am today. Good coffee ice cream is heavenly. As for soft serve, I would occasionally feed my inner child by getting a dollar cone at the mcDs drive through, which was sufficient enough to throw me in to a reminiscent daze about the past. A few years ago I had discovered that this location now has a soft serve machine!! I was able to take the kids out to get their favorite at the time, and get a vanilla softie in a wafer cone for me, and it was made with real cream, just like Carvels, not the fake stuff at McDs. Baskin Robbins remains still an affordable treat for the family, it's about 20/25 for a family of four to throw caution to the wind and indulge in the guilty pleasures of sugar. Unlike the local yogurt places, that draw you under the false pretense you are making the healthier choice..and then offer your children all the candy and toppings you can choose from in a seemingly endless table. Of course, after the kids have piled on to their hearts content, you see the scale at the cash register...you can't turn back now....$48.75 for four treats...ugh, never again. Stick with the simplicity of Baskin Robbins, there is something there for everyone and it won't break the bank. PS: go as early as you can if you want the soft serve, the machines are really old and apparently they over heat after a while and have to be shut off, I actually call ahead to make sure they are working, to avoid that let down, I am too old for that. I am fine with early, and I like to think that maybe they bought all the soft serve machines from Carvels, and maybe that machine is the same machine from when I was a kid ! It's plausible...I am keeping it..:) read more

This place would have only gotten 2 stars if it were not for the very friendly cashier and owners. My boyfriend wanted to show me this wonderful chocolate milkshake he got here as a child. I love the location that this store is located at, next to a cute little diner/inn. It was a wonderful afternoon and we found parking right in front of the store. We walked in and was immediately greeted by the nice cashier. We ordered a large chocolate milkshake and were both very excited out about it. It's nice that you can see your drink actually made in front of you. The owners were there and they smiled at us very friendly. When our drink was done, it was unfortunately one of the worse milkshakes I've ever had. It tasted like there was barely any chocolate ice cream and way too much milk and ice. The ratio was completely off. We kept drinking it, hoping it would get better, but it just tasted bland. It was surprisingly expensive and definitely not worth our money. The woman working there is very kind and makes conversation every time I head in her store. She lets me try multiple samples, is patient, and is happy to get me my ice cream. Baskin Robbin is delicious. Coldstone is a bit too creamy for me to the point where it actually feels watery (but it was yummy and one day, I will try it again). The Haagen-Dazs in Oakridge mall has too little flavors. I've turned to frozen yogurt now, but whenever I have a craving for ice cream, I come here. read more
