This sees candy is located in Almaden Plaza near the Costco. What's great about this location? Is you can run into the Costco to buy the discounted gift cards to get a huge bump in your purchasing power. I bought a bunch of gift cards and ran over to Sees Candy. To pick up some gifts and popped in about 15 minutes before closing. It was not my intention to do that but the cashier was super nice. He even helped me choose the right items for the gifts. I ended up spending about $130 but it probably only cost me 100 so that was a good deal. Gift cards are great. I also sampled a few pieces of candy which even though I'm not a candy aficionado, I can't resist a piece or two. Parking on that side of the shopping center is usually very easy and the store is accessible from the parking lot. You don't need to wander into the shopping center, which is super nice. I recommend this place because of the level of service and proximity to Costco. read more

I stopped by See's candy today for a few gifts. I was politely greeting when I entered the store. This location is small. I was a little disappointed with their selection. They must not have stocked up their items because things looked sparse in there. I did get some help looking for a Halloween plushy. They will get those in next week. I found a few items that worked out and I was able to use my $5.00 coupon I received in the mail. They offered me a complimentary chocolate of my choice. I chose the orange cream in milk chocolate. I was given another coupon for my next visit. Hopefully they will have more Halloween options the next time I stop by. read more

My cousin became a See's fan after she visited this store. She raved about how great the service is here. Believe it or not, I've never been to a See's store before. She invited me to go with her on her next trip. The same woman who helped her on her visit was there. Her name is Jan. She was friendly and knowledgeable. I've been to this See's candies a few times through the years. Todays visit stood out to me. First off, it's nice and cool in there! There is always at least 2 people working which is nice too so they could assist me and the other lady there. The gentleman that helped me was named Jamie, I believe he was also the assistant manager. Frankly he is the happiest worker I've ever seen in any establish I've been to! What a nice pleasant man. He said great things about working at See's; and I wish every company treated their customers and workers like See's! Their candies are always fresh and I never have a gripes. I came here a few days before Christmas in a weekday midday. There was a long line (about 10 people out the door). The line didn't seem to move much but finally after 45 minutes I got inside. Since they only let 4 customers in at a time, it will take a while to get through. There was a total of 5 staff members that I could see. I was able to make an awesome custom dark chocolate box and the gentleman behind the counter was so patient and kind. A few employees were hustling to restock shelves while I was getting my custom box. Some customers can get extra nasty because they don't have any patience or due to their poor planning. I felt bad for the employees please be mindful that the employees are serving customers with their best foot forward. Even though the line was super slow, employees came out twice to give samples to those waiting in line to help. They continued to do so when I was shopping inside. Nice candy store and I can remember eating See's when I was a kid. I specifically went to Almaden Plaza before dinner to look for Café Latté (https://www.sees.com/search?q=cafe+latte) Krispy's and after searching for them I found them in the back. On the right hand side. Yes. I was offered and given a choco sample, forgot which one, but it was a chew. A really good tasing chew. To this day I think that See's is one of the better chocolate one can buy and the variety is fair. Pro's: Lot's of variety. Chocolates, chew's, brittle, toffee, lollypops. And more. Sample some chocolate and try a new one. Near the bookstore, Barnes and Noble I think. Con's: Is pricey depending on what you get. I was craving some scotchmallows and discovered that See's was still open. They are currently open for PICK UP ONLY. I was able to order my chocolates through the website - super easy to use btw. You can also call in your order if you'd like. I ordered around 9 AM and received an email at 9:53 AM that it was ready. See's doesn't open until 10 AM, so I was surprised that it was so quick. When picking up, you will need to call the store to let them know that you arrived for your order. They will then deliver to you at the front. Really easy! How can I not write a 5 star review for a chocolate store?? Chocolate is one of my favorite things in the whole world! This store is perfectly covered in boxes of chocolate from wall to wall, and there is always a nice display of every type of chocolate you can imagine. The store is always decorated by the upcoming holiday. This time it was decorated with Fourth of July decorations. The best part is if you only want a few pieces that's okay! Sometimes I will leave with only one cup of chocolate. To make things even better, the first thing that happens when you walk in is they give you a sample. That's like a foot in the door tactic, because then I end up buying a lot more chocolate. Of course, you can take the sample and leave. There have been a few times I just went in for a sample. Boy, I did not anticipate how busy Sees's was the eve of Valentine's Day. Ughhh...I totally should have because their chocolates are wonderful so why wouldn't this be one of their busiest time of the year! And of course being the stubborn woman that I am, I fell for the time entrapment the minute I stepped foot inside See's door and lined up. I wasn't budging from that line until I got my Valentine's gifts for my babies. I'm all in people! And from the look of things ao was the rest of the people in this little shop! Lol~ The line was literally almost out the door as this entire little chocolate shop was filled with about 30 people! There was a line of about a dozen or so customers at the customized chocolates counter. There were three little ladies working at a busy, busy honey bee's pace assembling chocolates and gift wrapping. Then there's a separate line for already pre-boxed candies/chocolates and that one also has about a dozen or so customers. Then there were customers milling about looking for the right sweet decadent morsels for their loved ones. And a very nice gentleman went about with a sample chocolate box for everyone to try. It felt like a scene out of the Charlie's Chocolates Factory minus the Oompa Loompas. It was like a well oiled machine of people just lining up with happy hearts and smiles waiting to pick out yummy chocolates for loved ones. Yours truly here Patiently waited 45 minutes and was so relieved when it was finally my turn. The lady who helped me smiled in amusement as I gleefully purchased 2 boxes of gift wrapped chocolates late for my kiddos. I finally made it out the door and jetted to pick up my daughter at the library. These kids are so beyond spoiled!! I suppose I only have a few more years to spoil them before they are off on their own and will purchase their own sweet treats for Valentine. I love that sees made sure to take care of their customers while they shopped as my heart was full and my mouth was happy as I chomped on a walnut square and a caramel chew while I waited! Lol~ Adding 500 calories to today's count was well worth it. Oh, I should I have taken a closer pic of the the heart chocolate boxes options as they were super cute. I believe some of the best candy that money can buy - and still, its not that high in price. Competitors are maybe Ghirardelli and Godiva. I much prefer the dark chocolate raspberry from here compared to Ghirardelli - mostly because there are no seeds in the Sees version. In general I think Godiva is great - maybe a few flavors taste better than Sees but overall not as good a value. This particular location has a comfortable overhang and patio. There are a few places to sit outside which is very pleasant. The staff here doesn't fuss over you like at other locations but they were still polite to me. Even if there is a line I've always found Sees to be a pleasant shopping experience. Given I'm a regular I admire the consistency in service and quality of chocolate. The ambiance of the stores are always a special treat. Unbeatable chocolate aroma and super squeaky clean floors. I like that. One last thing I admire about Sees candies is that they are never on sale. There is never a coupon or discount or any of that nonsense. You will not find these half off the day after Valentines day - it doesn't happen. I really don't like discounts and good deals unless I'm buying investments. I don't have time for that nonsense and its that mindset that has put children to slavery in Malysia so people in the USA can have cheaper furniture and cheaper Dyson vacuums. Good deals always cost somebody somewhere along the chain. Usually these days I eat lots of 75% Coco chocolate (by Lindt or Ghirardelli) for the health benefits - so this stuff is a special treat. If I were you I would do my Christmas shopping from here now. Store your candy in an (air tight) ice chest in a cool spot and it will last 2 months without a doubt. read more

I went to get a pound of chocolate pieces.... all delicious , though when I asked for my free piece, as always given with a smile, (and spent over 30.00 on my pound of candy) the lady said no and said a root beer sucker was the free item only. Much to my surprise without an explanation of a possible new policy, she sent me on my way with a good bye. See's candy has been around for many years and this type of customer service was not what I had hoped for. They could care less about helping customers. Today, a very elderly woman was helping a customer. No acknowledgement of me when I walk in. So I pick up my items for purchase and walk around the store while waiting. Another man and his daughter walk in. A gentleman walks out from the back and immediately gives the guy samples and starts helping him!! So I left my items. Will not purchase from this store.
